It had been almost a year since my last trip to Tijuana, when I was in the habit of going every three months. I had COVID over Christmas and am now fully recovered with antibodies, so I decided it was worth the trip. Booked my flight on Southwest with frequent flier miles and was off.

    Saturday (1/9/21).

I landed in San Diego around 1:00. Took the 992 bus to Broadway and hit up the CVS for some supplies. I grabbed the trolley and was at the border by 2:00. I had the online FMM filled out and printed. I was ready to be charged $30 but as I walked up to the checkpoint there was no one there, either on the nationals or the foreigners side. I walked past the front booths and someone came out from a back room and waved me over to the far booths. He looked at my passport, stamped my FMM and waved me past. Not even a question. Quick temperature check by a woman in scrubs and I was in Mexico. I passed all of the cabs and just walked the few blocks to Pueblo Amigo.

Checked in with no hassles. There was another temperature check at the front door -- something I'the have to get used to. Literally every establishment had an automated temperature reader at the front door. Once inside I checked in with no issues at all.

In my room I messaged a Mileroticos girl who was recommended by a poster on another forum. She agreed to come over at 6:00 for an hour. She was on time and arrived at my door without any hassle from the front desk. Great intro session with full GFE, DFK, BBBJ for 1800 p. When she asked me for greek, I obliged even though it's not really something I care about one way or another. Finished in her mouth. I gave 2000 (tip for greek, my choice) and she left. Pretty decent session and a good way to start my trip.

After that, I was pretty hungry and decided to walk down the street to Xolotacos, a taco shop that I had been to at Las Playas but which had opened in a new location. I got there but they were closed. So I looked at my map and saw another place just a couple of blocks away at Plaza Rio. It was closed. So I found another one a couple of blocks west. It was way too loud and crowded. I kept finding alternatives a couple of blocks along until I ended up at my favorite Cevicheria la Mas Nais. I grabbed a big seafood cocktail in a to go cup. At this point I was already so close to the zona I figured I might as well just keep going. Normally I'd never walk from Plaza Amigo to the zona at night, but a block at a time seemed to work out, LOL.

Headed straight to the alley and found Angie de Jalisco outside 8075 hotel. She had on a short skirt and low cut top that showed off her curvy assets. Agreed to 500 p for full service. In the room it was as expected -- pretty mechanical but she didn't try any sneaky shit to avoid the dick. Still, I was tired from a day of travel and had nutted a couple of hours earlier so wasn't going to happen. Still, 15 minutes balls deep in a chick is worth $30 even without the pop.

My first bar stop was Cascadas to see Hong Kong's speakeasy setup. I can't think of a setting that I would hate more. Just hallways jam-packed with girls and mongers meandering about. Rooms that were crowded with couches and every surface had a guy or a girl sitting perched trying to drink and party. No room to move, barely room to breathe. This was 9:00 on a Saturday night, so it's understandable. But I had to get out of there. I went over to Rizo de Oro (Tropical) and their speakeasy was a lot smaller, but still crowded. Popped over to Jalos (Chicago Club) and they had everything set up just in a hallway -- there were some side rooms, but most of it was just out in the hall. Sat and had a drink with one woman and it was actually a decent conversation, but she didn't make a move to tease or touch, and after the drink was done we both knew that I wasn't going any further so I left.

Final stop was The Club at Hotel Coahuila (Adelita Bar). This was more like it. A single big room, laid out very much like a real strip club. Bar along one wall. Stage with stripper pole in the center of the room. Couches arrayed around the edges of the room. MUCH better. It was packed, but I managed to snag a seat at the bar. Tons of women, maybe twice the number of men. Had a great time buying fichas for Betsy, but my body time was two hours later than Tijuana time, so around 11:00 I made my excuses. She asked me if I would come see her the next day, when she got on shift at 5:00. I asked about The Club and she thought it would be closed and she would be in the speakeasy area (which was empty at this time). But she checked with a bartender and he said The Club would be open. I promised to see her again, and grabbed a cab to the hotel.

    Sunday (1/10).

I woke up early (damned time zones) and decided to grab an Uber to the beach for lunch. Stopped at one of my favorite taco stands (same one that had the new location by my hotel: Xolotacos). It was delicious, but without a seating area I had to eat my tacos sitting on a railing by the nearby gas station. Not very conducive to enjoying a meal. I always get tacos de birria con tuetano (birria with bone marrow). They used to serve each taco with an actual marrow bone alongside, but they didn't do that this time. It would have been hard to eat so I wasn't super disappointed.

Walked down to the beach, which was totally roped off. No access at all. It seems weird that stores were open and people could walk in and shop, but they weren't allowed to be out on a wide open beach (in the middle of winter). A bunch of people were past the police ropes taking pictures of the murals and statues at the Peace Park, until a patrol car showed up and chased them all away. It was all very sad, and I didn't feel like sticking around. Usually I'd get some oysters, maybe a coconut, and enjoy the beach air. Disappointing, and very glad I didn't stay at Hotel Jatay like I had planned.

Ubered to the zona for a loop around the block. Saw Jennifer and almost pulled the trigger but decided to keep walking. Man, the masks really do these girls a favor. So many of them looked really tempting! In the end I returned but Jennifer had been snagged. Right near her in front of Ibiza was a short cutie with big chunky glasses and honest to god stockings (garter belt and everything -- must be a ***** to keep looking nice). Said her name was Nadia and quoted 400 for regular service. I offered 600 for servicio completo for 30 minutes and she accepted. 100 p for the room for 30 minutes. She was super sweet in the room. No kissing and CBJ, but she was cute and super responsive in mish and doggy. Definitely worth the $35. She said it was her first day in Tijuana (sure), from DF. Recommended.

Back to the room to relax a bit, then at 5:00 I headed to Adelita to see Betsy. I don't know what made me think she would be there at the actual start of her shift, because of course she wasn't. There were only about 10 guys and 20 girls in the place. I was joined by Maria even though I told her I was waiting for a friend. Maria was full court press. Hand down my pants and my finger in her pussy. DFK at the bar. Drinking ficha super slowly. I was having a great time and basically hoping Betsy would forget about me, LOL. But then she showed up and caught my eye. Maria saw and said "Your amiga?" and as soon as I said yes she hopped off my lap and gave Betsy a hug. I gave her $5 and she smiled and walked away.

Betsy was fun in the bar for a couple of drinks, and I took her to a room ($15). She was a decent time but nothing super special. DFK and BBBJ, CFS of course. Mish to doggy. Finish in the condom. Said goodbye and walked around the zona for a bit. Looked at each of the speakeasies again but they were still not my style. Stopped at the taco stand by HK for some birria and headed back to the hotel around 9:00. I'm normally a late night guy, but the current setup just made me want to go back to the room and go to bed early.

    Monday (1/11).

Around 10:00 am I checked out of Pueblo Amigo and walked down to the Xolotacos near the hotel. It's in a little food court called "Cochi's Place" so there were tables available. I got more of the tuetano tacos, but they still didn't come with bones. Oh well, still tasty.

Ubered to zona and got a room at Coahuila. Only $20 for night and they let me check in at 11:00 am. Room 311 (my favorite) in the back quiet corner of the hotel. They have done some renovations since I stayed there last, as the room had air conditioning. It was on and actually pretty cold. Couldn't find a remote to turn it off.

Went down to The Club and it was pretty dead. Maybe four guys and a few more girls. I got a booth and was joined by a cutie who did a good job of teasing me (can't remember her name). Then I saw Maria from last night get on stage. After her dance she went around and solicited tips. When she got to me she smiled and gave me a big hug -- the girl I was with said "Tu amiga?" and when I said yes, she finished her drink and left.

Maria sat down and it initially did not go well. First she asked if I would buy her a drink. She wanted wine. She said it was 140 and was that OK? I said "pesos?" and she said "no, dollars". I almost told her to get out. Just a beer, fine. She was back to being very handsy, and was all over me for the duration of that drink and another. I suggested the room and she said she couldn't go to the room until she had earned nine fichas! So I would have to buy her seven more drinks. I laughed and said I would buy her seven drinks if she would take $30 for the session. I explained to her that every dollar I gave the bar was a dollar that I couldn't give her. It's asks like this that make me honestly wonder how much pressure a girl gets to sell drinks. I don't believe there is a true quota system, but she was trying to get me to buy $70 worth of drinks that she would get maybe $15 commission from. Surely she'd be better off if I bought fewer drinks from the bar and spent it on her? I guess they think we really are bottomless pits of money.

Then she asked me to hire her for an hour in the room, for $200. Her dirty talk was on point, and she did have me pretty aroused. But my big head did not lose total control. I agreed to $100 for 30 minutes, in my own room. So off we went. We got to my room and the AC was still on and it was freezing. She called the front desk and they turned it off -- so that's the trick. To be fair to her, the session was really good. She was slutty and dirty and kept my interest for the full 30 minutes. No rushing, very affectionate, a decent time.

I kept the room at Coahuila but around 3:00 I moved my stuff into a room at Hotel Caesar. It was only $50 for the night and this way I could get a good night's sleep as well as order escorts. Even if I never went back to the Coahuila room, it was worth $20 for the session and a place to store my bags for 4 hours before I could check in to Caesar. On the way I stopped at Pollo Milagros on Primero. I got a plate with some buches (fried chicken necks) and a chicken leg. They still charged me for two full meals, even though I had them leave off the beans and cabbage and tortillas and just put the chicken on a plate with some buches. I guess the a la carte concept doesn't fly with a gringo. Eighty pesos.

In the room I messaged Musas and gave them a few names. Melissa was one of the tops on my list and she was available so made an appointment for 6:00. She was right on time and came straight to my room -- no call from the front desk. She was a sweet 24-year old. No kids. A bit chubby, as is my preference. She was really shy and wouldn't let me go down on her. Other than that, total GFE. Lots of kissing, breast worship, great BBBJ. Sex was good. After sex we were cuddling and she really enjoyed my fingers, so although I couldn't go down on her she did let me finger her while we necked. It took a while for her to finish and by then time was up, so she showered and left. 1600 p for the hour and a better time than either of the $100 women from AB.

Around 8:00 I walked back to the zona and grabbed some tacos from the cart next to Hong Kong. Lots of street girls out. Decided to check out all of the speakeasies again even though it was a Monday night, Rizo dead, Jalos dead, Hong Kong, plenty of girls but few guys. Rooms were mostly empty. It was just sad. Headed to The Club and had a good time for a few hours before returning to Caesar.

    Tuesday (1/11).

Grabbed a coffee at Baristi and walked to the zona around 11:00 am. Checked out of Coahuila and got my key deposit. Quick pop in to Cascadas but it was quiet. Lunch was birria de chivo from Birrieria Guadalajara. I'm no expert but it's some of my favorite birria in town. While there I messaged David from Musas to arrange a date for the evening. I asked who was available and he sent a list. I looked over their web site and compared the list with my notes and picked Ariana, but in the time it took me to decide she was unavailable. He had a new list of names and Nikita was on it. I had read her reviews and even though her body isn't my type I booked her.

Had planned on doing a street girl or two -- even if I didn't pop it was worth the $25-30 (sex for the same as a lap dance back home? Yes, please! But I had just eaten and was feeling sluggish and pretty disappointed with Tijuana all around, so I went back to the hotel to work for a couple of hours.

At 6:30 I got a call from the front desk and they sent Nikita up to my room. Holy shit guys, this girl is adorable. Tiny, reminded me a lot of little Michelle from Hotel Eduardo. But Nikita actually smiles (with braces! She has an amazing, bubbly personality and is not the least bit shy. When most girls come out of the shower they have the towel wrapped around themselves. She just pranced naked back into the room. I was playing music and she started dancing around -- not sexy stripper dances, just a young girl having fun. It was so goddamned sexy. The session itself was amazing. Great oral, eye contact, ball licking. Cover on and she moved straight to cowgirl. She's so small I could lift her on and off my dick. Missionary was super passionate, and the doggy got so slutty. Great sex talk. Finished with her in prone bone just railing that tiny body.

Afterwards she just laid next to me in bed and we talked for almost an hour. She was in no rush to leave and I actually suggested we end it since I wanted to get some food. We showered together before getting dressed. I gave her 1900 p and a $10 tip for the extra time. I waited a few minutes after she was gone before I left my room, but she had stopped on the steps to text someone so we ended up walking out together. On Revo she suggested a restaurant called Piedra Santa in the Casa de la Tlayuda building. Anyone been there? It looked very ritzy and expensive.

Around 8:30 I ubered to a taco place called Tacos del Koshy that I had seen on a tv show. They serve a pork belly taco with fried cheese! I also had a taco with carnitas and pork skins (cueritos why chicharrones). Both were amazing.

At 9:45 I ubered back to The Club. It was pretty busy considering it was a Tuesday night. It was perfect for me, not too busy, but not empty. Had a few drinks, got a few dances. Just generally enjoyed my last night in Tijuana. I had been feeling pretty down earlier in the day. The atmosphere of Tijuana just wasn't the same under COVID. I realize that life can't be normal right now and a LOT of people have it way worse than I do. And I also know that after 3½ days in Tijuana I often start to get burned out. But after my session with Nikita, some good tacos, and a fun nightclub, I was turned around. I didn't really want to leave -- which is unusual for me. Usually at the end of my trips I'm ready to go home. I do wish I had another chance to get with Nikita, that's for sure.

Left The Club at 1:00 am and grabbed a cab back to Caesar.

    Wednesday.

Woke up around 9:00 am and packed and headed straight to the border. The line was CRAZY long, and I have never been so happy to have Global Entry. I walked past a line that I later heard was over 4 hours long. Straight to the front and right to an agent who made me look into a camera and welcomed me to the US. No luggage scan. Trolley and bus to the airport and I was home and missing Tijuana around dinner time.

The speakeasies are just not my style. Maybe they would be OK if you were there with a few friends and you could all sit in a room and have fun. But as a single guy, sitting in a room means that there's nothing much happening. If you are a karaoke fan, it's the difference between a karaoke bar that a big room where everyone is together vs one of those karaoke clubs with private rooms. If you and your friends book a private room, you have a great time and you get all the attention. But if you are alone, you don't want to sit in a room by yourself.

Sure, you can go out into the hall and find a girl and bring her back to the couch, but I hate that. It creates an expectation. I'd feel like I had to buy her a drink just because I had pulled her away from her perch. I like to be in a big room where I can see all the girls. I can make eye contact and nod at a girl to come over. Or she can approach me and I can decide whether to ask her to stay or not. In a speakeasy setup, you either have to rely on a mesero to bring you a decent girl or go out and pull one yourself.

I'm sure there are guys who love it. I can see why a guy would like to cruise the halls and really pick the girl that attracts them. But it's too much pressure for me. I don't like it at all.

Give me The Club at Coahuila any day of the week.

But to be honest, this time it was the escorts that were the stars of the week!

    Crossed into Mexico last Saturday

Before my trip I went online and filled out an FMM and printed it out. I walked up to the border at PedEast and there was no one in either line, Nationals or Foreigners. As I walked in through the Foreigners line, a guy came out of the back office and waved me forward. I handed him my passport and the FMM. He stamped my passport, tore off the "Entrada" side of the FMM and handed me the "Salida" side. Then he waved me through. No questions, no payment.

I was ready to pay the $30. It pays to be prepared.

    Sat PM Crossing

I crossed on foot this afternoon without problems or even a question why I was visiting. There was a short line going into Mexico. After I got my 7 day FMM, I decided I just want to get the 180 days because who knows what will happen in the coming weeks. $30, in and out in 30 seconds. A lot of traffic, a lot of people here today. I'm sure the "bars" will be packed.

    Google Maps

Address: Calle Salvador Diaz Miron 4 ta.

Just type scotiabank in g maps and it will come up. A few blocks but definitely walkable. I used it the last time I was there. Also used it when I was in GDL

If you drive in, they don't make you buy it. If not you can try to blend in staying to the left.

    ATMs

    CheckMate.

There are no Scotia or be of A terminals anywhere near La Zona. You have to use Multivar machines. They are known to exact high terminal fees plus exchange commission, and they skim your card data.

It's best to do your own research sometime:

"What am I allowed to take into Mexico?

When crossing by land, you are allowed to take your personal belongings and $75 worth of merchandise, duty free. People over the age of 18 may bring three liters of liquor or beer and up to six liters of wine."

    Now you know.

    ATM's and bottles

The ATMs in hotel Cascada are safe. I have used them a few times recently and have not had problems. They cost only 95 pesos in fee, refundable by Schwab. The one in the South lobby dispenses dollars, the North lobby pesos. ATMs in Hong Kong are also safe when it reopens. Looks like crooks cannot install skimming devices in machines with hotel and bar workers around.

Liquor prices in Mexican duty-free stores are as high as retail prices in the US, not very good. US Duty-free stores in San Ysidro like UETA have killers' prices, 12-year Chivas Regal 1 L like $25 IIRC. They also sell Tequila at lower prices than stores in Tijuana. Don Julio 70 for $30. My favorite is Jose Cuervo Especiale 750 ML for $9. 50. It's a 80 proof tequila with nice, clean taste, good fragrance with lots of spicy aromas, the slightly sweet taste stick to your mouth like fine liquors that cost a lot more. Some nights I drank 5 shots on ice, got nice buzz and never had head ache or hang over next day. Jose Cuervo has on its label as the brand with the most awards in all Tequilas, a very fine liquor and very good value. I was pleasantly surprised.

You should stop in the duty-free stores in San Ysidro and buy bottles to party with your sweeties, a lot cheaper. Don't know how many bottles Mexican Immigracion allows you to bring in if you walk over. They will likely hassle you for some bribe like anything else.
    Additional tips:

Check online with regard to your bank. Some banks are affiliated with foreign banks and thereby not charge you a fee. Example is scotiabank and bank of america. Here's a list of bank of america. https://locators.bankofamerica.com/international.html.

This message might matter if it did not come from HK Group's family biggest shill.

Anyone with a pair of eyes could see that the hallways inside Cascades / HK are fully staffed with cartel drug dealers.

AFAIK, Mexico has never accepted credit cards for FMM payment. Even at the airport kiosk it's cash only. And good luck getting change. The fee is on the up and up, as long as they give you the FMM.
Yeah, I'm with you on this. While I don't like the concept of paying a bribe I definitely agree that paying $20 to enter a country when you have an expired / missing passport (so by federal law not allowed to enter the country) is an excellent deal LOL. I will point out again though that I did not receive an FMM the two times I paid the bribe to get into Mexico on an expired passport (despite asking for one) - they told me not to worry about the FMM and that I was good for 7 days. But in my mind yes, it's still a great deal considering I wasn't legally allowed to enter the country in the first place. Imagine being Mexican with an expired passport (or no documentation at all) being able to bribe a USA Customs official $20 to let you into the USA LOL. Obviously that's never happening.

    I Fucked Up

Came down Friday afternoon and the immigration guy took me into the office. Nothing was going on outside at the usual desks where you report. There was another guy already sitting down at the desk. I do not know what the deal is with those guys. But he was the usual "stray" for the lack of a better word. It seems he was with the bullshit because the immigration officer said look I told you before bla bla bla. Then he said you know what before ushering him into an adjacent office and leaving him inside closing the door. He told another officer that he put the guy in there.

Then he told me to come take a seat at the desk. He asked what I was going to Mexico for. I told him to get a haircut. He said that it was only open to Mexican citizens and residents at the time but I could purchase a 6 month visa for $30 and be allowed in. I moaned about it and said paying an extra $30 defeats the purpose of going to get my usual $6 haircut. He said that he didn't make the rules around there. I told him that I would not enter. He took my passport card and said hold on. He left out and came back and told me to follow him.

I changed my mind and decided to enter the country. I had just exchanged $80 before crossing over. I told him I only had pesos. He said 600 pesos then. I did not want to use up my pesos so he told me about the ATM right outside the door. I went to withdraw money. It had various amounts as options for withdrawal, the least being $200. I decided to take that.

It also had a $7.95 fee. No problem because I have Schwab and they will give it back. But I was in hurry mode so I was just clicking yes yes yes. Then a screen popped up and I did not realize what it said until I clicked yes and it was too late. It asked if I agreed with a whatever percent commission. I tried clicking cancel and everything else 100 times but it was already too late. The machine shot the card out and started counting the money. I ended up paying $23.85 to use that damn ATM. Not sure if I will get the commission fee refunded from Schwab. Bastards!

I paid the $30 and he gave wrote 180 days on the visa and gave it to me. I entered the country and walked down to where the taxis were. I was about to do my usual walk but stopped and asked the guy how much to the zone. He said 100 pesos. I said fuck that, I usually pay 50 pesos. Then he said 80 pesos and I said okay. He called some taxi from across the street and down to come over. He explained to me that the taxis over there were cheaper than the ones at the curb. He told me to just walk over there next time. There was no difference in the taxis. The were all the same company.

On the was way I stopped in at the duty free. Recently I went to my local liquor store and wrote the prices of the stuff I usually purchase into my phone so I can begin comparing prices in duty frees and shops around the world. The prices at this store were excellent. Crown was half price, Jack was $11 less, Chivas was $21 less. I bought a bottle of Gentleman Jack for $12 less than my local store. In 30 years that was my first time stopping into that store. There were only about 10 people crossing back into the States at the time and they were not even scanning bags.
