I've been in Siem Reap for a couple days checking out the temples and I'm taking the day of tomorrow (don't need to get up at 5 am thanks be to God!) so I went downtown to do some shopping. Went to night market and was surprised. Lots of fairly attractive young ladies pushing massages VERY hard and all saying the same thing "I give you happy ending. " I wasn't prepared for work, I hadn't taken the necessary vitamin and had no personal protective equipment with me so I declined a number of offers.

Had I been prepared I may have made a selection but I also may not have. It felt pretty scammy to me, normally when chicks are selling it that hard they usually aren't delivering what they seem to be offering. After a couple tried to hard sell me when I politely declined I told one or two "thank you but I just ate and don't want boom boom. " To which they all FORCEFULLY replied, "no boom boom here. ".

So all in all, I'm thinking if a guy was going to be here maybe he could wade through the scammers and get to the good numbers but I came to see the temples and didn't really plan on getting laid. I only wanted to offer this info as a "for what it's worth" report.

After the horrendous day 1.

I decided to check out what's on khmer pub st. So I hailed a tuktuk and the driver knew exactly what I was after and offered to help show me around various places. He seemed cool so I took him up on it, in hindsight he was a big help because most of beer gardens and KTV's have very dicey English. So first we checked out 2 beer gardens around 9 pm. As you walk in there's a roster of girls that you can pick to come drink and eat w / you. First place we went there was a really hot 20 yo, but in the end she claimed she doesn't go with customers, something about not losing face. Bill for the beer garden was cheap around $13 plus whatever you want to tip. Next beer garden we go to at 10:30, there's not many girls left sitting in the front. We get some drinks and see what girls come around. Mamasan shows us a bunch of girls thru the night but none were my type. So we end up leaving around midnight, then try a KTV. We end up at Platinum, there were a definitely a lot more girls at this one. Pick one I like and then karaoke until 2. Bill for the KTV + drinks came out to $47. For the girl she wanted $130 LT, haggled to $120. I liked her so didn't fight too much on the price, in bed she was actually worth it. End up giving the driver $40 for basically staying with me the whole night and he was very happy with that.

So if you're trying to do a beer garden, I recommend going between 8-9 pm. The hottest girls get scooped up quickly. Went to a beer garden earlier the next night and had a better experience.

If you're interested in trying Khmer pub st, I'd definitely recommend the driver I had. He basically drank and ate with me all night without any mention of payment, and it would have been good night even without getting a girl.

His name is Hong, he's a cool guy and will try his best to hook you up with whatever you need.

So she freshens up in the bathroom a little bit and makes an effort to close the bathroom window curtain, then comes out. Then she gets me to strip, gives me a short BJ and claims I need to shower. So I shower a little bit, but definitely open the curtain back up so I could keep an eye on her. Then after I got out came all the excuses, she claimed she had a mamasan waiting on the street that needed to be paid and she'll be back in 5 min. But she didn't want to leave her bag or anything, claiming her passport was in her bag. I told her she could take her passport and leave the bag, then she claims she can't understand / no English. There's lot of back and forth, and eventually offer her $20 for her time and ask for the money back but she wasn't having it. Says I can come down to the lobby and talk to the mamasan. At this point I consider this a lost cause, I'm definitely not going to assault anyone to get some money back. So I walk down to the lobby w / her and she gets on her friend's motorbike and rides away.

In hindsight, I should've refused her when she didn't match her video call and definitely definitely should not have paid her upfront. Right now I'm happy I didn't get anything stolen or get shaken down by any police, but definitely could've ended way worse!

I also would caution about using Tinder Or Whatsapp in Siem Reap.

On Tinder I found a great looking girl. Messaged her and she said she would come over. Rate was $75 USD for over night. I told her that if she was not the girl in the picture, I would send her back. She arrived an hour late. I was already getting into my tuk tuk to go to pub street when she showed up.

Turns out it was s lady boy. I told him I don't do lady boys and he was pissed. Wanted money for his time. I told him I wanted money for my time and left.

Overall, be very careful Siem Reap is a tourist trap.

Mongering is alive and well although a bit pricey and not easy to find.

Lots of KVM bars in a whole street devoted to clubs. The one I frequented was called Pattaya and can easily be reached by flagging down a Tut Tut. Nice ambiance and some stunning girls.

You have to be very careful in Siem Reap. If they smell blood, they will quote you a very high price. I was taken to Pattaya by a Tuk Tuk Driver, and the first girl quoted me $200 US for short term. I had a few.

Drinks with her, and told I could pay her $100 for the night and a tip for good service. This was around midnight and she accepted. Service was pretty good, including morning sex. She even spent the day with me visiting the temples.

My second night in Siem Reap, I went to some dance clubs on Pub Street. Lots of Cambodian girls there, but most were with friends and boyfriends.

Sorry, I can't remember the names of the clubs, but one had 3 levels with a rooftop patio that had a live band. It was early in the night, but I spotted a few freelance girls. There were quite a few tourists.

We walked down Pub Street (it is only about 2 blocks long), and there were 2 cute girls at some kind of road side pub. We had a drink with them and went to another pub. We were sitting on the outside of one of the pubs, because my friends did not seem to be in the mood to.
