I like to think it was something to do with respect. It was an 8 dollar room at the old El Centro Bar Hotel next door, so she'd be expecting a quickie. Last two times I stayed in Boca Chica stayed at the Hotel Garant. $45/ night with free breakfast and about 2 1/2 blocks from the beach. Room was good and girl friendly.

I stayed at the Garant about 4 years ago. It was owned by a young Canadian who took it over from his father. The rooms were very nice. Security was solid. Some rooms did not have air conditioning. Be sure to ask for a room with air. They were charging a few extra dollars for air at the time. And it is a short walk to. The beach. Very Chica.

Friendly. The security guard even dialed a chica for delivery one night. I do recommend it based on my last stay. Enjoy.
