Rule of thumb, any high class hotel (hard rock, waldorf, etc) is not girlfriendly. You will get charge for bringing a person to your room, if, they actually allow guests. Best bet is to make your book for 2 people or send and email before booking about their guest policy.

Most of the time I'd get back to the trump around midnight to 2 am. The guys at the cab stand guys usually say Hello. Go up the first elevators and then you pass the check in area towards the elevators to the room and not once did anyone say anything to me.

I would book 1-2 nights at a hotel that you decide on. If you like it and have no issues with chicas just go to front desk later and extend your room for x days at the same rate (there is usually lots of availability barring any big conference). Quick report:

Yes, Taxi is $25-30 from the airport, each way. The official taxi is $30 but if you are just one person, you can usually negotiate to $25 (without going to arrivals). $5 is not a big deal but the point is that it is not $15 each way like someone else mentioned in an earlier report.

Golden time: There was time when I used to think this place was the bomb. It still has the same consistency and high quality for an MP but I think $120 is way above market fro what we can get elsewhere.
