I walked less than 50 meters and kept looking back so they knew I knew what they were doing. There could have been guys. They do not hang out in groups until it is too late. Seen how it works at Botero with 4 of them about 10 meters apart so it looks safe like it would be one on one but is not. I did see a cop one day with his dog who surprised me by coming up the back way that I had come which was more like a horse trail.

Funny you mentioned Medellin in the next sentence but it was missed. I just mentioned 2 parks and Botero which are in Medellin but still there will be someone who will ask about New Jersey since we both mentioned in our dry humor.

I would recommend anyone traveling to poorer countries to bring chewable Pepto Bismol tablets. I was dealing with stomach issues before I even arrived in Colombia and those things saved me from wasting my first two days.

This is sound advice if you have a weak stomach. The peptp coats your insides and protects you before a meal. Prior to a trip I also bring Diomax, altitude sickness, and a few tabs Zithromax antibiotics.

First, I am new to this board. Recently went to MDE for first time. I was on the DR board for years and Sosua was my main spot, with visits to the DR. Most reports under an old screenname though as I forgot password and was off board for awhile.

Anyway, thanks to all who have shared info. As so much was useful to me. To those complaining about the board, it was FAR worse for months leading up to my trip.

I didn't even bother posting or asking any questions. I dared not steal the thunder of Ost. And a few others. But he was far and away the worst. Endless diatribes about his conquests and girl #1, 2, 3, 4 and so on. And the pics. It was so pathetic and I have never seen (or thankfully met) a more insecure vapid human being. The thought of him ever telling me to RTFF, after reading his useless cry for help dribble for so long, was more than I could stomach, so I didn't even bother.

But thank you to all who have added useful info. It helped me with an enjoyable trip. I will write up details this weekend to pay it forward and maybe help others.

If you happen to smoke cigars, the Colombian stock is no comparison in quality to DR sticks. Will be interested in your report when it is ready.

I have Sentri and live 20 min away from Tijuana border. There was a time span of 2 years I had a weekend fuck pad in Playas Tijuana and was down there often having HK girls off the clock. For the mongers that have only known Tijuana / HK I would say its more of a ignorance is bliss. When I went to Medellin 8 yrs ago and Sao Paulo just recently I just realized there is much more out there. The girls in Brazil and Colombia/ Medellin are cheaper, hotter, better GFE, better vibes attitudes. Both Colombian and Brazilian female culture / mindset seems to be more open towards American / Foreigners for dating (civie scene) but just my 2 cents. Brazilians out the 3, would make better girlfriend long term relationship material they seem to be the least materialistic. (caveat I would keep them in their home country of course)

No doubt about what your explaining is true, I abandoned Tijuana over ten years ago for Medellin. What's interesting though is that 15-20 years ago, Tijuana was the total bomb compared to how it is now. And 15-20 years ago Colombia was not visited much by foreigners, so putting things in perspective, Medellin / Colombia was not a mongering venue while Tijuana was years ago. Today comparing the two Cities it's like night and day, because Colombia has only been on the mongering world scene for a much shorter time than many other Countries around the World.

You can tell the taxi the name of the nearest metro station Estadio, that should work or try la 70.

I think you have mostly daily menu dishes. That fish probably is Tilapia which is very common. The place near you to try their local dish is Mondongo. The soups have more flavor. If you want healthy food, you will like Saludpan. You need to go to first park (Primer Parque) or second park (2 do parque) to get better restauratns, and cafes.

It took my stomach several days to adjust to food and I am not sure I ever did. One night I found a cheap little hole in the wall place on a side street that served monster greasy burgers (and dogs), and fries. I have never felt so good or better after eating super bad for you, low quality, greasy off the restaurant fry station skillet. It was heaven.

I also got food poisoning that really hit bad my last day and on my day of travel. Traveler's diarrhea the CDC sote sats. Very common over there as poor sanitary conditions in restaurants and food often not properly kept.

You don't need Spanish but it helps.

Tijuana and Baja have 100's of nice restaurants that are flooded with SoCal visitors every weekend. The girls are $100/ for 30 min +/- and the SW's are 1/2 of that. The best looking girls from all over Mexico travel to work there. If you are closer to Colombia. Go there! Flights are not always cheap but some are. ($400-600) depends on where you live. You can also meet a ton of Colombian girls in Cancun or CDMX. They cost more than the MX girls and they are very hot. Guys who live in San Diego are totally spoiled. Perfect weather and within an hour drive of HKTJ. I lived on the ocean in Baja nearby. Now if I can only set up a business to be in Medellin all summer every year. I'm working on it. On my 6th trip here. Coming back in March. Can't get enough and I am not talking about the women.

Are you joking right now? I have always paid 200-300 Mexican pesos for Tijuana street walkers. Right now that is $10-$15, not half of $100. A pro tip is do not pay in dollars. A chick is going to tell you $20. You say I only have pesos. She is then going to say 200 pesos, which only equals $10. It does not work that way in the clubs though They use the right exchange rate.
