The security here is good. I have to unlock an iron gate and two doors to get into my apartment but I have never seen a guard on duty. The place is dark at night. I live on the third floor and never see anyone coming in. I could run a brothal out of here. The apartment is small and the water is cold but it is in the heart of the action. Next time here, I would be tempted to just get this place for pussy and stay somewhere that has hot water. Yes I am a pussy. Got a real winner out of La Dulce Vida. Beautiful and loved it in the rear. 300,000. Worth every peso.

And when I stayed there, they always had one problem or another with it (it was closed twice in 5 days I stayed there). But in fairness, they're probably must limit the crowding nowadays, hence the appointments. Although it sucks they didn't warn you.

Could you clarify what you mean by having to check out within an hour and the refund situation?

Telling me I had to leave made no sense. I was the only person in the pool area and I was doing nothing wrong, I was in the pool wading around by myself. First the maintenance guy came around and was straightening the chairs. Then the security guard came around and told me I must leave because I had not reserved the pool a day ahead of time. I said nothing in response that could be interpreted as hostile. They were just trying to make an issue with a gringo guest. He made it clear I was not welcomed and had done something terribly aggregious and intentional. Maybe another guest had made a problem at the pool, but not me.

No need to give me a hard time, undeserved. When he said in Spanish I "had to leave in an hour", I knew I was not welcomed at all. Promptly got my bag out of the room and checked out, handing him the key to the room at the front desk. As I handed him the key I said to him in Spanish, I am not coming back, your rules are stupid.

Unable to get ahold of Juan, WiFi was not working in that building anyway and he was out of town, had an assistant give me the key. When I got home I emailed Juan to try to get a refund for the last day and he said he was unable to mail me a check or money order for the refund, Juan blamed the situation on the Covid. Juan would have given me a refund on paypal but my account was not up to date and was not working, so he promised to give me credit next time I stayed with him, which may be a long, long time!

So the chica splits and I leave for the airport an hour later and I'm in goo goo gaa gaa land after all the great sex. On the flight home I'm watching the movie Hustlers (its good) and the scene comes on where the bad girls have drugged this guy and are running up his credit card and I snap back to reality and realize that I have to cancel that card first thing when I get home which I did that night.

That is funny that that movie played on your flight, as though God was intervening to remind you. Many of the Chicas that I know are mostly trustable but if that chica has to choose between feeding her baby forget about it.

I did not mean to say that we do not talk about food in this thread, we do but its a huge subject and so maybe if you offer up something about your own tastes than more members may be able to help.
I am not sure what part of Asia you refer to but I was in total heaven with the food scene in Thailand, since my trip there I just get disgusted at the want -to-be places that try make Thai food here in the USA, they just lack those fresh ingredients and that good Thai fish sauce with the peppers.

I don't go to Thai places in the states, unless they are small town local refugee places. The fancier the decor the whiter the food.

Years in Bangkok taught me what food is.

Food I'm looking for in Cart would be the same the girls eat.

Moreover he said I had to leave in one hour. I checked out of the apartment within an hour. Tried to get a refund from Juan and never did, got a promise that I would get a credit the next time I came to Cartagena on one of his rentals.

I've never had my credit card fucked with in Colombia. All mine have chips on them. The only time this happened is in Panama a long time ago.

LOL I think you missed the part where the girl had his CC associated to a Rappi account they were using together while he was in town, glad you never had CC jam up in Columbia I was wondering every time I go to use mine, after a couple problems with mine in Panama also, I try cash all the time because of less hassle.

Thanks Mojo I just did that download and I can see US option in there now. I'm almost positive it wasn't there when I was in Cart a year ago. I only had a couple of cervezas in me at the time. Anyway no harm done and we got our Rappi delivered. It works great and is a must have if you are shacking up with a chica for a few days or more.

I have a Rappi question if anybody can help. I was in Cart last January. Found a chica I liked to stay with me for 3 days. Needed to use Rappi, yes its very handy, but after downloading it Rappi did not offer an option to use a phone number from the USA to register and order with. I triple checked and no USA option available so we had to use the chica's phone to order and of course I had to put my credit card number into her phone in the app. We used it several times and it is great. She left the day I flew out. When I got home I cancelled the card right away. A few days later she texts me asking if I will let her use my card to buy some ice cream. I told her I had to cancel the card because of fraud. We are still in touch. But anyway, has any American used Rappi on their US number? If so when?

I was also in a similar situation once.

It would not be wise to punch in your actual physical card in someone else's account.

In cases like these I would generate a disposable card (one time use or with a limit) in a site called privacy.com.
