I presume you are referring to Tenares! One of their biggest treasure of the area, is the Home of the Mirabal sisters, now a museum; indeed the province is named after the sisters, a family that resisted and was liquidated by Trujillo. There is a novel, called "El Tiempo de las mariposas" that is a tale about the three sisters, written by a Julia Alvarez, who teaches in a CT college, if I remember correctly.

El campo can also be used to describe a suberb or the equivalent in the dr. One of my main chicas I've been seeing for years lives in teneras. Teneras is considered el campo de San Francisco. Teneras is a city, paved roads, hospital, town square with a few clubs, etc. Def way bigger than sosua. If you visited you wouldn't associate the word "campo" with teneras if they didn't already refer to that. Teneras is just a mini San Francisco or equivalent to a small town in america.

Mr E summed it up very well in his post but near Sosua you have Montellano and La Union (They are more like public housing). Both of these places are down by the airport. Maybe find a cabbie that speaks English and have him workout an afternoon tour to satisfy your curiosity.

Great suggestion, I just may do that and explore the countryside a bit.

There is no El Campo. It simply means rural area or out in the middle of nowhere, which frankly includes the entire country except for Santo Domingo, Santiago, and Puerto Plata.

This post hit home for me in several areas. I asked also " why not just stick with the Campo girls? But you explained that. I find the Venezolanas very prissy and just average in bed. For the price (5 k-7 k) in SD, I will pass.

It is true that most visitors stick to the cities but because in my mind, the Campo is not so accessible. There are no places to stay, not to speak of showers and other amenities one takes for granted. I do not know which part of the country you are from but I have been to the smaller towns and outside of a Colmado / and or similar, may not be easy in "el Campo", unless you know someone from there. Also people gossip much is small places, unlike in cities, where one is invisible.

You have to step out of the shell if you are going to a campo. For example if you want to take a shower but don't have your own place go to the river (lots of locals and a nice way to meet women) and shower there. If you don't like that option just go to a cabana they are everywhere in the. Are.

In campos everyone talks that is a fact but in reality no one cares. Heck I have seen people fuck inside a school midnight.

I'm planning my trip for next year there are still a lot of places I don't know about and I am looking for people to show me around. I already have two non pros lined up that I met through a group chat on whatsapp.

As soon as you exit from the airport onto Autopista Duarte, going northwest towards the city, less than a few minutes you'll run into a cluster of them like Helios, Bora Bora, etc all on the main road. Or you can travel another mile or so up Duarte and make a right onto Av Rafael Vidal. There is another cluster of them there. Any one will do, they're all nice.
