If you haven't yet paid the fee, you will need to do that also. Generally speaking, any Mexican bank can take the payment.

If you fail to turn in the document, your name will remain in their computer system and you could be subject to a fine if you return to Mexico in the future.

Ahh, how I miss the old, pre-computer days when we could do what we wanted without having our every movement monitored in some way.

I just came back to san diego, so I apologize if the info is too little, too late.

Anyway as artist mentioned, the bus station is an easy 10 block walk on the main drag, any local can point you in the right direction.

My ticket from ensenada to san ignacio costed me USD 111, which is a tad pricey, you 'may' be better off going to Tijuana and getting volaris air and fly to cabo directly but check online for pricing before you do as they fluctuate quite a bit.

If you happen to have a student I'd, buses are automatic 50% off, but remember to dress comfy as it is a long ass ride.

Cabo is not that great for mongering, but if you are trying to get a mix of civilian action (nubile college chicks, or just locals) , cabo is a good destination for that.

So, follow artisstyp's guidance, I took a look when I passed the linea this Monday, yes it looks like there is an office to go in and take care of government stuff, so that puts my mind at ease.

But while I was walking through the overpass to the sea of taxi, I noticed another office that looks like it was processing something, not sure what the heck that is.

And I am still trying to figure out if the banks are opened for me to make the payment, if it is, I will try to go to revolution and find one of the banks to pay.

FMM Form. Multi Entry Tourist Visa for extended stay past 72 hours in border area and 75 miles past Tijuana / SY borber for up to 180 days. Is the fee around $22. 00?

Anyone experienced the FMM multi-renewal process upon a second entry within the 180 days?

Bus travel on Christmass Day? I would travel on 24th regardless of the schedule to be safe.

All mexican towns are inter connected by bus in one way or the other. The bus system in mexico is by far the luxurious and well maintained system that I have ever experienced. You WILL get to where you need to go.

If you google "mexican bus companies" you can see the routes that they offer so you have a heads up. Estrella Blanca and Tufesa are the best IMO. If you can get TUFESA to anywhere you want to go definitely go on that line. They offer platinum service.

I think getting buses to travel within baja norte (rosarito, puerto nuevo, ensenada) are going to be ok for me, hit / miss, I should be able to find it.

I believe there are a few choices by bus to ensenada. The way I know is go to the bus terminal right after your cross the taxi stand (old entrance / old turn styles / Mc Donalds) as soon as you get into mexico. You will need to think "old entrance" to figure this out. Not hard to find or ask " La terminal de Autobuses hacia ensenada por favor". You go across the street (past the taxi stand) then to the left up a few hundred feet to the left of Plaza "VIVA" Tijuana. You will see a few signs for bus companies on marquees located in what looks like a mini mall. It is actually a bus station. Forgot which company it is but one gate / ticketing area sectioned off by itself services ensenada. It should be the first one to the right if coming from the old entrance into Tijuana. Cost is roughly $25. Buses leave all day until 5pm I believe but verify.

I've heard bad things about cops the further south so watch yourself. I'd love to find a poetic hang out away from Tijuana but nothing in the near vicinity seems promising. I hope you prove me wrong. Good luck and have fun.

You can get there by grabbing a ruta van / taxi on ave. Madero and 2nd st. It will say WALMART / El Forido (towards plaza macro) on it. Mention " quiero bajar en la central camionera". It drops you off right in front 11/12 pesos. Same thing going back. Drops you off in centro.

Nice! I am heading down on a roadtrip, across a few cities, pretty exciting, a little nervous, but I am sure I will turn out ok, kind of curious on how the bus system works, I have found some comprehensive website providing guidance, but no where do they indicate where the local bus station is actually located.

So with the new entrance into mexico, I ask them to take me immediately down right into a room to get my FMM taken care of. Where is the closest banco for me to pay?
