I totally agree. And why not pay 20 bux for a membership and move your personal convos to PM? On a related note, I hope the China threads do not become like the ridiculous and chaotic India threads, with posters constantly begging each other for contacts. If you have contacts, then say so and ask that anyone that is interested to PM you. Otherwise, don't beg for contacts. All my communication is done on WeChat, it has a translator. Although not perfect you can get the jest of what they are saying and they also can get the jest of what you want. After we do meet most of them have a translator app on their phone where you can speak and it will translate back, I also have one. That and facial expressions work great and also hand gestures, LOL.

The hotel is good, also take some walks around the lake and smile and try and start up conversations with girls that smile back and not nose into their phone.

No massage place is not in the Pants building or the huge mall below, typically they are on side streets. The ideal place are buildings that have KTV and a massage place adjacent to them or on the same floor.

I spend all of my time in Suzhou and have found a number of wonderful girls. I am quite familiar with places east of Jinji Lake and 'The Pants' building. There is a special massage place that if you kinda of tell them what you are looking and look non-native for the right price you are in. But I typically don't to them unless I am looking for a normal massage or foot massage. My best luck has been through WeChat and also hanging out in the lobby of the hotel. They seem to like to hang out in the hotel lobbies certain nights of the week. I have even had them just walk up behind me and follow me up the elevator.

Back in Shanghai after a few months in the States. Not much new to add to the previous reports about crackdown, lack of options, etc. Even some of my previous standards have gone silent on WeChat, etc. It appears the crackdown is part of a larger societal tightening including social credit scores for citizen, fingerprint scans for "foreigners" upon arrival, VPN blockage financial credit tightening, etc. While history says that things will loosen up again, or reappear in other formats, channel etc in the mongering area, it sure has taken the fun out of Shanghai for the time being. I will continue to look for good options and report back on any keepers.

Heading to Suzhou in early August, I see the Suzhou thread has gone silent. Not sure if this is due to the crackdown or not, but I look forward to sharing some reports once I hit the ground. Will be spending a day in Shanghai before Suzhou and am planning to hit a couple of Spring locations. I figure worst case scenario I will get a good massage after the flight, hopefully more!

I lived in Suzhou for 5+ years but moved back to the USA. Still get to Shanghai for work but not Suzhou and have been frustrated with the level of service and prices in Shanghai. Luckily one of the ladies I saw regularly in Suzhou moved with another lady to Shanghai and they do massage out of their apartment. I was a little worried the first time because it is a very Chinese sort of apartment and area, but it turned out well. Seems not having a direct Mama-san leaves them both giving better service than when in Suzhou. Anyway, PM me and I'll send you the WeChat info and a photo or two. The massage is 60 minutes with he included for no tip. I think more is on the table if you want to tip too, but certainly just for he it is a pretty good service. They go the extra mile to tease and build you up, much better than a lot of places I have been to.

The one who does the talking on WeChat is called Yang Yang and you have to translate on WeChat to communicate, she doesn't speak any English. She sends you the location on WeChat and from there it is easy. The work out of XuHui District near CaoHeJing Street and Nanning Road on the south west side sorta by the south train station.

Well I personally have Fudi leaning towards more on the side of being regular massage joint. I wouldn't go there for he. You are correct in stating there is no tipping but nor would you get a he for one of the lower priced massages. I'd say there's a definite difference from Spring which has more options and the masseuses look more provocative.

OK, perhaps it depends on the shop. My regular Fudi shop only ever has guy customers, and then they always have the door window covered over with their red drape. The girls wear this kinda provocative flight-attendant uniform, and some of them are really cute.

As for other 'veggie' joints, like Kangdi or Kangdao, although rare, there have been instances where he has been offered if tipped. Keep in mind, as we all should know already, most legit masseuses won't have the look or the demeanor of someone who regularly gives tug jobs.

You can literally walk a block or two in any direction to find a regular massage joint. Even Spring has regular massages. Then there are also the other franchises such as yili, fudi, dragonfly, Yu, Zen, and a host of others.

Fudi is not really a regular massage shop, but closer to spring in experience (but girls won't take tips). Were others on your list like this? I haven't tried, other that dragonfly, which I think is totally legit.

Haha, small world. Anyways, it seems that a lot of Viet girls are worried about police monitoring NLO or similar sites and don't want to advertise. I don't blame them, esp after the SNG scenario. I made a couple more contacts and have their wechats etc (already made plans to check them out next time I am in either Shanghai or Vietnam) but they don't want to make it public.
