I have yet to see someone using a stripper pole in the DR.

In Sosua's heyday (before 2013) there were plenty of stripper poles used in Sosua and Puerto Plata. The obvious example was Pasions in Sosua. Santiago and Santo Domingo have plenty of places that have stripper poles.

I was just in Boca Chica, waste of time. Nothing special, girls are not good looking at all. 5-6 rating at best. Beach is nice, but that is it. There is a nice bar within a casino in Santo Domingo, but that is it. Medelln and Bogota is way better.

I can definitely see someone having a problem in Boca Chica. Boca Chica is Haitian Central. You'll be hard-pressed and / or unimpressed if you are used to the variety of Medellin. I wouldn't suggest BC. Santo Domingo Santiago Puerto Plata San Pedro or Punta Cana all would be better to suggestion. However Medellin is more organized And professional.

It's all about having options. Do what works best for you. Brazil, Thailand, Philippines, DR, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and so on. Each place has it's advantages.

In Medellin, there is something for everyone. Online, Lleras, centro, etc.

As long as you have fun is all that matters. Don't worry about others. Some people like a basic budget experience and others want to have a hottub 4some overlooking the city.

I just know all them Dominicans are much prettier and more available than these big booty Colombians. Don't type it in the open that Boca Chica is a waste of time. We have a few Board Members who swear by the DR, even in our Medellin thread. LOL, Pollo negro is out!

I'm the last BM to run out of that anytime soon, because a fool and his money shall soon part, no one, no one, I mean no one knows that better than you JjBee62. It was you who were broken and sent home penniless by them Colombian chicas. I'm way to crafty and financially Swift to play games with my money. I'm never on a budget and if push comes to shove, I most definitely keep enough pesos to get back to America, even if I have to charter a flight. With that being said, I changed two 18 year old chicas from Veracruz today, wowzers, I can still feel the fuzz on their buzz. Photo'd, filmed, fcked, and Forgotten, the quest continues tomorrow, I'm in Bogota next week, wish you were joining me, but the way your budget set up. I am really surprised no one mentioned the much lower cost of everything in Colombia compared to the Dominican Republic. It is more than enough to cover a $200 to $300 higher priced airfare.

Too funny. Don't be surprised if flight prices to Medellin noticeably increase relative to the DR in the next year or 2.

Show me that detailed information from a peer reviewed article, because you mean to tell me, that gas is higher at a closer distance than gas for at a longer distance. This is where you lose me. You mean to tell me, I should pay $500 in gas fees to travel 250 miles on a private road, but I can pay $250 to travel 500 miles on a public road, ain't that hard my friend, no need for me to be playing in the DR, I hope this explanation sums up my theory in a nutshell. With someone telling you the truth, I love centro, I want no parts of Poblado. You're being charged for being a foreigner only to travel to centro to look for girls. Poblado will never get a dime of my money not one red penny. But hey, to each their own. Pollo negro is out!

Poblado gets 2 or 3 cents of every dime you spend in El Centro. You don't think all that money is ending up in El Centro, do you?

Fuel always costs more on an island. The DR has some of the highest taxes in the world for using their airports. Most places you only have to pay coming in or leaving out, but DR gets you coming in AND leaving out. There is less supply/seats in and out of Puerto Plata, therefore the tickets cost more. Most people that live in the area or are from the area will fly in and out of Santiago for cheaper tickets.

Peer reviewed article? GTFOOHWTBS, I know someone that works at the airport as an engineer that also owns his own plane that goes to all of the airports in the DR, he knows what he is talking about. It is a fact that POP airport charges outrageous prices for their jet fuel, it is your choice whether to believe me or not, I could give a rat's ass, please do us all a favor and stay out of the DR.
