    My thoughts on identifying ladyboys

My first experience with a ladyboy was in USA in about 1982, when a coworker did the male to female switch. She was about 26 years old and about 5'6". She had to live a full year in public dressed in drag prior to the surgery. That first year I worked closely with her and I heard all the details of the process: hormones, growing longer hair, longer nails, lessons in walking, voice lessons, and lessons in manners. She was very chatty with me. After surgery she was out of the office for about 3 weeks while she recovered and had more training. About a year after surgery she told me of her two disappointments: (a) Based on her personal digital inspection, she said the man made vagina felt nothing like the inside of a real vagina. (b) She could never get the female voice quite right and she knew that more training and practice could never make her perfect. She believed she moved exactly like a real woman and that her hormone generated tits looked good, but any sober man could see that she wasn't female. She had broad shoulders, narrow hips, and strong chest; nothing changed there. She was easy to spot in a crowd of people, she always looked more like a guy in drag than a true woman.

Move ahead to 2019 Thailand and it is the same rules but better implementation. The Thai lady boys are visually very close to real girls. But, I think they still give themselves away by their height, movements, voices, hip-to-shoulder ratio, hand veins, and possible Adam's apple. I expect that the 2019 lady boy would have the same 1982 problem of an imperfect feel inside the vagina.

Here are my imperfect guidelines for avoiding ladyboys:

    1. Beware of the girls taller than about 162 cm (average Thai man is 168 cm and average Thai woman is 157 cm).

    2. Watch the shoulder to hip ratio, it better be small.

    3. Look at facial and hand features. Just use your judgement.

    4. Look for Adam's apple.

    5. Engage in conversation and listen to the voice. Avoid deep voices and voices that crack.

    6. Watch for over doing the female motions (toss the hair, swing the hips, etc.).

If you think you want her but you are unsure, just ask. The first lady boy I asked was on Soi 11 and she said "but it's only 800 baht. " A real girl will be unhappy that you asked, but she will be pleased that she got your business.

Pretty simple really. Rarely causes offence to a real lady if you ask in the correct way (joke about how it's very difficult for us farangs to tell) and most trans will willingly admit it, it's something they are quite proud of.

    Easy peasy, move on.
If there was any foolproof method, the debate simply would not rage on. Arrogance and complacency can cause guys to make a mistake.

Certainly NOT all ladyboys are 100% honest. That is easy. Certain bars had "secret" ladyboys working there where one was not allowed to mention or discuss it. Deja Vu was one a few years back. It is not known if the customers were mostly aware or unaware. Other bars have Post_ops and I don't believe the customers are warned in case they are ignorant.

I would not ask myself, because I would never 100% believe the answer anyway, whether the girl said Yes or No. Some like to joke around.

Girls are miffed by being accused of being a LB. I know a few tall girls that find this quite annoying, although get used to it somewhat. It does annoy them that so many guys are avoiding them, simply from being tall. Personally I had no doubt at all that they were girls. Height is not my main criteria at all.

ID card indicating Naay Mr. Is clear but LBs could get a fake ID to show people. So not foolproof. Close examination of pussy under good lighting would work for me, even never having seen a Post-Op pussy live.

Took me a while to notice that a very popular tall girl in Crazy Cat was a ladyboy, although I was looking at other real smaller girls, so my attention was not there. So the best LBs take more time to identify them. So I never like to claim to be able to pick them all immediately.

I still believe the way they move is the most likely thing that will make me peg them, quickly, where looks are not exceedingly obvious.

The pre-ops might tell you, but not all the post-ops will tell you upfront that they are LB's.

Yes most are very clear about it, but many are not. Not happened with me, but I have seen many reports here, where the guy was pretty sure that she was lb but she was insistent on that she was a lady.

I don't mind a bit if that toy action myself. This Intel from your freelancer friend makes sense to me now RL as I have witnessed Japanese mongers flash pics on their phones to girls previously (not in Thermae) and have often wondered what the content was.

I had a girl from Korat tell me that the gents from the land of the rising sun also like to utilize kitchen utensils in the bedroom as well, I clarified with her it wasn't knives and forks or chopsticks, more of the likes of soup ladles and large spatula type tools.

My requests for some rimming and A+ appear to be quite vanilla compared to these activities. Your mention of a pic of a toy surrounded by baht is an intergalactic stroke of genius by these men. Well played to them.

If you have these prejudices, then you are not really fit for being in Thailand. Not everyone is the same. We have to tolerate other religions, other skin colours, other sexual preferences and the unfortunate persons who were born with a male body but whose brain wants to be female. Quirks of nature. They can't help if they have a manly voice. Most people don't care.

I used to have drinks and fun at Cart Bar late at night with all girls except for one LB, "Eye". She was very charming and had her customers. I would chat with Eye, buy her a drink etc. , but never any necessity to think anything sexual, same as you have a drink with your buddy. A very nice person, but I never wanted to see the dick, naturally. No one seemed to dislike "Eye" at all. Eye was still friendly and fun with me, even though she knew I was exclusively a pussy man (no problem). Can be found on some escort web sites however I better not mention the name (as will be seen as a promotion).

Notice we always use female pronouns for ladyboys, because LBs choose to be female. It is impolite to treat them like a male, or use male pronouns. It is even impolite to mention that they are not a real female too much. You just have more normal conversation. O.K. to say how stunning they look, or how they have very nice tits, for example.

Ladyboys maybe a bit flamboyant but that can be fun. Muslims in the south of Thailand, e.g. in Songkhla or Satun provinces, can be a lot of fun too, even partying (when not at home) and mixing well with the Buddhists are others. We may have stereotypes in mind but the individuals and whole communities can be very varied.

Muslims have the quirk don't eat pork, but who cares? Other Thais eat pork but no beef. Who cares? I eat it all. Some are vegetarians. I like veggies as well.

"Priscilla Queen of the Dessert" is a great movie about drag queens trying to overcome prejudices of country Australians. Stars Guy Pearce, Hugo Weaving, and Terence Stamp. Made maybe 20+ years ago at guess, so maybe a little bit dated.
I think I used the wrong words.

Let me make myself little more clear, from 'in same room' I meant having sex, not like I don't like talking to them. I have worked with a lb and a good friend of mine. Just like I can't do sex with a guy, same with LB. But I understand the way I wrote, it seems I meant I don't like their presence. Didn't meant that at all.

    Japanese Men Like Their toys

Japanese men have a lot of kinks and many are sexual deviants more so than Farang. Why I believe it's so stereotypical for some guys here to say all Japanese men are easy customers because of 333 or 555 or whatever.
An FL that I have know for awhile told me when she used to work at Thermae that the J boys all have toys. They love to play with the girls and make them come. A kinky bunch those guys. Maybe that is what the girls at Thermae like so much? The boys are showing the girls photos of their toys when they show the phone.

Nothing like a photo with a vibrator and 5000 THB laying next to it. Like chum in water, all the fish bite.

I must be missing something. Didn't you just say you contemplated going with a ladyboy, now you are saying the thought of being in the same room makes you sick. What makes you sick about it? It is just a dude in a costume.

This is very true. You will encounter many working in Hotels as guest relations etc and working in banks.

97% of the time if they are tall they are a Katoey. Easy to avoid. No need to skip this wonderful place due to fear of LB's IMO.

If you want them you will find them and if you wish not to partake they are easily avoided.
