Many of us have extremely tight budgets and / or very particular and stringent requirements (needs?). I've been to Phuket only once, but it definitely wasn't my style. Very expensive, and a smaller population of providers relative to customers (obviously comparing to Pattaya).

What is the cost difference for ST and LT between Pattaya and Phukett? How about between Pattaya and BKK?

I have just returned from a week long trip to Pattaya and didn't notice any form of discrimination. I am an dark colored Hispanic American and for the most part I bewildered most of the Thais because they couldn't figure out what I was. A lot thought I may have been an asian mix so maybe that was why I didn't see any discrimination. Anyways, your post was awesome and extremely informative. If I didn't have a friend who knows Pattaya to show me around your post would have been the next best thing.

One thing that I would say about my trip is that IMHO Thai women are beautiful. Before moving to China last year I was not a big fan of Asian women. Now I can't seem to get enough. Each countries women have their own beauty but so far, to me, Thai women are the hottest. They have the tightest bodies. Wow, is the only way to describe them.

Last time I was there I saw this in a bar in Soi 7. They would have served me but refused to serve my friend who is black. We moved on to another bar.

How would you compare Thailand and Caribbean and South American places? Where do you like to go south of the USA and why? What would you pick, south of the border, or south east Asia?

Having been to these place a few times, I would say PI is a place to consider just because it is cheep compare to others and also very many options. However you can't expect wild maxworld experience in PI. If you interested in that Pattaya is close bet. And more so in FKK in Germany with many east euro / Russian invasion now a days. Remember cost wise, there is not much difference between a session in FKK and DD in Pattaya.

South of our country is get better and better as you travel south. Santiago Chile a desalination I started like it. DR is not my preference as it is becoming run of the mill.

There are so many girls looking for action on Phuket that you could spend years there and never hit the same one. Even quiet islands like Koh Lanta have massage shops and karaoke joints with willing women.

You can find action just about anywhere in Thailand if you have even the slightest sense of where it is. Last year, on a trip to the south, I got laid in Hua Hin, Trang town, and even Narathiawat!

Phuket is not for mongers. It is just a tourist destination. Your choice should be BKK, Pattaya, angeles city and manila in Phi.

As for south of USA DR, CR are good destinations for newbies.

Totally disagree, just walk at Patong area at night, definitely more noisy than Pattaya, thousands of single ladies available in the bars and discotheques, many go-go's too, soi lion and soi tiger come to mind. There is more than enough action. Plus so much more to do in terms of touristy stuff. Been there thrice, and found so much action in low season, most forum members will agree. From your report, it clearly shows you've never been there, please do not mislead people on the forum, there are often some grey areas in discussions, things which may appear different to different people, based on their experience, but this is definitely not one of them.

Used for airport service to Pattaya and return trip, last week. Cost was 2200 BHT R / T, no up front fees, pay on arrival. Prompt service, nice 4-door sedan with leather seats.

I am always comparing countries in different parts of the world, too. Not an expert in any of them but have been to Asia (PI, VN, BKK) for about a month 2X / year the last six years vs. 2-3 week stays in Carribean / Mexico / South America. Here's my. 02.

Asia: cheaper and better for longer visits.

Carribean / SA: better scenery (beyond mongering) and bigger boobs.

For short visits go to Tijuana.

Racism : Like I've written in my posts, I was barred from entering 4 clubs (Alcatraz, Fahreneit, Happy go-go and Beach club) , despite offering to pay for 2 drinks upfront, on one occasion I even had a girl with me who I had barfined earlier, coloured folks please don't try these clubs, it will frustrate and upset you and can have a psychological affect and ruin your holiday, you can still enjoy at 90-95% of places. At Baccara, first time the guy observed if I bought a drink, after seeing me buy my drink and a lady a drink, he didn't bother me on the other occasions I went. It is sad but a fact of life. I have seen so many white guys in the last 10 days enter go-go's, take a round inside, check out all the girls and leave without buying a drink and some even misbehaving inside, I guess the percentage of Indians and Arabs doing this is more, and we coloured guys have to suffer due to the behaviour of few. These clubs don't want to check your passport, nationality, accent or behaviour, if you are not white, you will be told it's a members club and asked to leave, that too not politely. Having said that, I never found this racist attitude with any of the ladies I went out with, if you treat them well, they will reciprocate.

Thanks for the reply. You narrowed down my quest for my next destination in Asia. If someone has any comments about Philippines, I would love to hear. I think my Asia destination will be couple of days in BKK and remainder in Phuket.

I am white, close to 50's, and overweight guy (not surprise to other forum members) , originally from Eastern Europe but lived long and naturalized in the good old US of A. Unfortunately, despite how much I love and appreciate USA, it is indeed a sex prison. I realize that and I look forward new experiences in colorful tropical destinations.

How would you compare Thailand and Caribbean and South American places? Where do you like to go south of the USA and why? What would you pick, south of the border, or south east Asia?

The A B C islands (well not Bonaire as much) and SXM are great for a long weekend. Aruba's my personal favorite. The DR is a lot of work as a rookie to get acclimated as the culture is really right out of a movie and some Spanish is essential to really succeed but once you know your way its good as well but still always some work. In the end though, IMHO, nothing beats SE Asia.

I believe Thailand is much better than Indonesia, especially if you are white (girls available everywhere in Thailand and sex is more open). However, if you want better beaches and more things to do, I would recommend Phuket (there is a good balance of girls and sight-seeing). Pattaya barely has a beach and it is quite pathetic, however purely for the girls it is a better place.

Unfortunately, this attitude of the bars and the bargirls towards Indians is brought on by the droves of noveau riche visitors from India. It doesn't help that a some business people bring a bunch of "carriers" to help carry goods back to India. Most of them have never been out of the country and are just rude, loud and obnoxious. You should take a flight from BKK to CCU and you will know what I am talking about.

I applaud you for trying to change the image, but until the majority of the tourist make an effort to change, you will see this continue. This is more prevalent in Thailand than in other SE Asian countries is because they haven't seen the influx of Indian tourist.

Sat at one of the Lucky Star bars most of last week and mentioned to my wingman how many Indian guys I saw that were getting turned down by SW's who were looking for company on WS. I thought it was that they were low-balling the girls for the best price. When I asked the Thai hostess, she said the majority of Thai girls will not go with an Indian guy. I was surprised because there were far more Indians on WS than I noted from my visit last year. You won't see many Indian guys in go-go bars, not sure if they're not allowed, or if its just not their thing.
