I have to say I was a little disappointed with Cascadas. Seeing as they normally charge Western prices (without the VIP card), even despite being in Mexico, I expected a little more. The bar takes zero. That's a fact. I can't believe some mongers believe everything that comes out of a puta's mouth, especially when lying could have a positive financial impact. HK is the strictest law-abiding bar in the Zona. They always make sure a chica's papers are 100% in order for her to work. I know of a case where a new, just turned 18 chica, who was young-looking had all her papers in 100% proper order and they still didn't allow here to work since they weren't fully convinced she was 18. She was required to submit additional paperwork from her former school in order to convince management she was 18. In the meantime she worked at Chavelas which is less strict. And yeah I know HK and LC have the same owner. And HK strictly adheres to the ID rule-chicas must present an ID in order to work everyday. You own a business, you should know where your employees are. If you own a small business with only a handful of employees, you just keep track of them in your head. But let's say you run a large business, like a UPS delivery hub. You make the drivers sign in / out every time they leave the premises. No different than at HK. Oh, don't get me wrong. I think you are right. They make a ton of money on alcohol sales. I'm just not convinced that's where it ends. I could be dead wrong. I have absolutely no insider info. But like I said, I believe they track the ins and outs of a girl for some reason and I don't think it's simply for fichas.

I think Hong Kong more than survives on alcohol sales alone. Think about it, they sell a $. 40 bottle of beer for $4. They sell a $. 30 ficha beer for $7 after they pay the chica commission. One weekends they sell buckets of fichas like Cinepolis sells buckets of popcorn. $70 for a bucket they paid $3 for. $27 for a bottle of Kirkland water they paid $. 15 for. Those profit margins are just astonishing. All they have to do is pay for their liquor / business license, utilities bills, grease a few palms at City Hall and they're home free. They pay next to nothing for labor. The security / cleaning guys probably make no more than $15-$20/ day. And guess what, meseros and the robe guy pay HK for the right to work there.
