Every time I check the Sosua thread, there is always a fight, one page after another. That amuses me to no end. If Sosua is a shithole, it's a shithole in the ligue of its own with a beautiful beach, cheap lodging, good dining scene, and enough chicas to keep anyone entertained. And it's a short hop from the States. Come on!

Of course, it ain't Rio or Sampa or Bangkok, but if you're looking for these places in DR, you took a wrong turn at Albuquerque. When I want a short and cheap beach vacation with hookers on the side (or the other way around), I'll take Sosua every time. Nothing wrong about it.

I've been retired in Sosua for the last 8 months, and only had to leave on business. I can't wait to go back, I lost 40 pounds and came back fitter, healthier and happier than I have ever been. Everybody remarked in the huge change.

I have a novia to thank for that. She cooked local food for me and discouraged me from restaurants. On the weekends she might bring one of her girlfriends over, and during the week I was free to monger.

So no transportation was necessary, unless I was going out of town. The motoconcho guys didn't peep me anymore. Everything within easy reach 10 minutes or so, and the walk was pleasant, with folks saying hola.

Apparently that kind of life is not for everybody, Lol.

Sub man was my biggest cheerleader for a couple years. But now he's gone over to the dark side, Lol!

I like you have been all over the Island and enjoy every local but choose sosua for the ease. You see a couple 100 willing women in a 2 block area. A beach, decent places to eat in a safe environment. The place checks all my boxes. If I lived in the DR may be I would have another approach. I'm not "an abused wife", I'm not here because "I don't know any better", and I do have "the ability to communicate with the ladies", (two long term novias that couldn't speak English, and their families. I have very little Spanish!) I've been to almost every corner of this Island including places most people never heard of, where I'm the only gringo for a hundred miles.

Sosua is full of ex pat and regular visitors from Germany, Holland and New York, and I can tell you they do know a lot about whoring, LOL! They just don't post here.

And when you have a bevy of beautiful non-pro twenty somethings (with a 34 year old MILF thrown into the mix also) in your harem, you don't have to be worried about putas or what people think should or should not be posted about them and the businesses that promote them in ISG.

And quite honestly I would not want to frequent a business that cannot conduct their operations in a safe and legal manner in a country where prostitution is legal.

No, what I actually have missed is your specific reference to the business that was actually closed down due to a ISG report. That was your reference when posting about Sosua in the Sousa forum wasn't it? Providing that information would move the credibility of your statements from quick quips that make for great sound bites to solid informative reporting.!

I never made any "specific reference" to any business closing down because of posts to ISG.

I was talking about feeding into the general tenor of the political move to shut down those establishments that operate on the very the periphery of the "no pimping laws".

Here's actually what I said:

"We've had folks on here naming the managers, detailing exactly what the house cut vs the chica's take is in these places".

No problem discussing chica prices and services rendered,like we all do here. I was talking about bragging about the details of on-site prostitution offered by commercial businesses.

Then I mentioned that CMP and Passions had been shut down, and Cuba Dave prosecuted, because they were a little too public (menus and newsletters showing photos of their new batch of girls) that drew unwanted attention to the local politicians. They may have had other reasons, but they used that "open and flagrant" stuff as an excuse to close down, and deport. (even as we speak the "open and flagrant" stuff is actually being moved away from the centre of town)

Folks are complaining all the time about Sosua changing, so why help it along?

I gave an example of a post I made to ISG that found it's way onto Youtube in a a Damning Documentary on Prostitution in the DR.

The factors that drive prostitutes into the business, or the relative merits of Sosua over Boca chica are not my overwhelming concern at the moment.

I pointed out that the conditions described exist in many locations in the Dominican Republic since prostitution is legal and that is the law of the land for the entire country (not just Sosua). You can monger in a similar fashion in Sosua as you can in the entire country. The exact same conditions exist, say for example, in Boca Chica (hot girls, wide open, beach close).

Given the many reports that have been posted about Boca Chica it wouldn't be hard to come to that obvious conclusion. Now, the opinions of Boca Chica verses Sosua can vary and one might even have a preference of one over the other, but the mongering conditions within the two main puta pueblos of the Dominican Republic remain exactly the same. That is a fact!

I just listed the good things about mongering in Sosua. It's wide open and legal.!

That Italian dude was Armando. He got tied up in a lawsuit that last I heard is still ongoing. He subcontracted it out to certain entities and the quality went down. He also owned Classics till a couple years ago and after one disco. He was deported but came back a few times. Meanwhile the property was decaying. It still has one of the nicest double pools overlooking the bay.

I stayed at the Bellamar in Marcha nd had a good time. Big bed and the ac worked well. The big selling point was the balcony overlooking thew water, best view in Sosua. Well worth the 50 dollars a night I was paying (booked it online). My biggest issue with he hotel is the security process. It can take 5-10 minutes for them to get her ID, Scan it, confirm her phone number, have her sign the document, you sign the document and then put a strap on her wrists. I am used to the 15 second process of having her leave her ID at the front desk.
