Does anyone know if shades night club in ocho rios is still open? I'm hoping to go there but I noticed that their website account has been suspended.

I don't know anything about black river but from what I've been told treasure beach is very cool. Apparently things are way more laid back there than even negril. I'd like to know how you plan on getting there and how long you will stay. I assume you need a car to do anything there or else you are pretty much stuck in one area.

They're both pretty good, you can read up on them in Lonely Planet guide. You will be pretty well of the beaten path for mongering though, so you might want to take a girl with you or try to find a local girl that you stick with. Or if you find a good driver then he might be able to hook you up.

Or to be helpful, Resort Divers are pretty good. Just Google Resort Divers Montego Bay and you'll find their contact details. There are a couple of good reefs just outside Mo'Bay that take about 15 minutes by boat to get to.

I may consider going to Orlando BTW. It was a dream of mine to live there as a child.

I think it was 06' or 07', right before the economy crashed, I went to Orlando to seriously think about moving there, because it is perfect place to visit Jamaica on my days off. I would not mind having a disappointing trip if it was 2 hours away, but to travel 9 hours? Also, I know there would be another day and the more I went, the more I would learn things to better the next trips. I also would not have to burn important vacation days, if I lived that close.

I liked Orlando, but I think the two things that discouraged me was, the traffic and crime. As far as crime, yes, we have some crime here in Vegas, but you don't hear about people getting robbed while in a business, they just rob the business. That was a little scary thinking that I have to pack when I go out to eat. We know how to avoid the bad areas, but when the bad comes to you, what do you do?

The traffic? This is my take on it and I could be wrong. Midday, there is just outrageous traffic jams, why? Maybe because they have toll roads and everybody is trying to avoid them and flood the surface roads. Sorry, I know this is the Jamaican board, but if you like Jamaican women like I do, you would want a way to see them often short of moving there. I travel usually twice a year to Mobay, I would go at least once a month, on my days off, if I lived less than 2 hours a way.

The women are easy to talk to but outside of that, there isn't much to do. I think I got spoiled by other countries not very developed but happy. The people in Mobay act blasay until of course they are ready to party.

I drop 2K every time I travel to Mobay. I also tip very generously, because I know they don't have very much business and the tips add up quick. I am trying to maximize my time there for what it costs.

I loved his enthusiasm, but Jeez, if we were hangin' together checkin' out all the talent, neither of us would have gotten laid. He must have oozzed lack of confidence. But still, he was great at providing intel! Got to love that!

I was just notified by my cruise-agent that we are not going to OR this time, but Mobay, so Loxxi, you and several others' posts have already been duly noted.

BTW, can you suggest any good dive-masters in MoBay?

Thanks for reading them. You mentioned P4P. I got laid like 10 times in my 2 trips there since February using that method and twice for free. My best advice is to find Fun and Sun's posts about 4-5 pages back. Between he and ThaiJuan, there is a MonBay Monger's Bible on this site. I am not familiar with the term dive-master but if you have other specific questions, I can try and provide you with answers and contacts I used while there 10 days ago.

I may consider going to Orlando BTW. It was a dream of mine to live there as a child.

Specialone8, I've posted very frequently in the MoBay thread that seems to have been abandoned by a certain "guide" that pops in once a year or so. Unlike others, I am not perfect, but I will attempt to answer any question you may have. If I can't, I'll refer you to the real "guides" of MoBay that you can easily find by seeing who has posted there within the last oh let's say 100 days.

The only problems I faced so far is that because I'm not a senior member here, I wasn't able to open the attachment you posted on the Observer. So I did the next best thing. I googled The Observer (Jamaica) and found the publication's site, but there was NOTHING regarding P4P anywhere on their homepage. Not even in their index. I looked under classifieds, entertainment, and several others including "Page-2" but nada. What did I do wrong?

You did nothing wrong as they don't post those listings in the on-line version. I've tried also! Pay your 30 bucks as it will payoff in spades (no pun). BTW, Loxxil is a quite mis-guided and not a good guide for you. Good luck in Mobay!

Having said that, I was unable to PM you on this forum, so I was forced to ask you publicly for intel on possible talent in Ocho Rios lately, since I am headed back there late this year for a day while on a cruise. The last two times I was in O R I had a blast, but not by getting "blown or better". I did my share of diving near Dunn's River Falls on an excursion, and then with little else to do before the ship weighed anchor, we simply headed back to the ship so we could get a good view on the Aft-deck as we pulled out early in the evening.

I would really like to change that situation this year. Can you suggest ANYTHING (Clubs, MPs, or even individual ladies who truly like to share ALL Jamaica has to offer?

In May of 2003, I was in Ocho Rios, when my cruise ship stopped there for a few hours. I was able to nail 3 girls, with fat asses, and 2 out of 3 at the same time. I thougt it was pretty easy to find hoes out there, with no problem or pressure. I am going back in Oct. I will give an update when I get back.
