Thanks Fannie. Just checked. There is 7. 30 and 8. 30 pm bus from Santiago to sosua. I will get a cab to the bus station and take the bus to sosua.

Be careful that bus can be full quick. And watch out for your cab driver talking to the bus terminal attended telling her to tell you that the bus is full.

Well when you think about it goes both ways. We do have a Monger Gringo Network also, Just like these forums and other website forums on the internet, its the reason why most chicas don't want you to take pictures, most of them have a western union boyfriend and he can find out if his chica is still out there on the streets working by browsing these forums. At the end of the day we are humans and we all like to talk, socialize and brag. As mongers we post pictures and talk about our experiences about chicas. Was she good in bed? And how much we paid them, Just like these chicas, they talk about how much money they made from us, was he good in bed? Is he cheap?, how big is his penis, Is he a Western union sucker, etc. It also amazes me on how some guys have so called girlfriends in Sousa and they will tell there chica girlfriend that they will land June 10th and they are actually landing on June 5th so they can fuck other chicas girls behind there so called girlfriends back. Like these chicas don't talk to each other, they know everything about you!

They even have Dominican workers at the airport at Jetblue tell them information, and even people at the hotel tell them, they know when you landed and when your going to leave. Trust me!

Keep in mind that the Caribe tour stop in Sosua is far from the main area in Sosua where the Texaco gas station is located. You will probably need a taxi or a motoconcho to take you from there to your hotel. That area is also going to be pitch black and dangerous when you arrive after 10 pm. The metro bus is a better choice for getting to Sosua from Santiago because it leaves you by the Texaco station but unfortunately they don't have as many buses as Caribe tours. I am telling you because I have taken the last bus Caribe tours from Santiago to Sosua and it is quite scary to be in the Caribe tour Sosua stop late at night. They just drop you off at a very isolated area. Not even the motoconchos like to be there late at night. You will have to get into an unknown motoconcho or taxi to get out of that area. I would advise you to ask the bus driver to help you get a taxi from the Sosua stop to your hotel or if you know a monger down there to help you out once you get there.

I think you are misreading the schedule. The last Caribe Tours bus leaves Santo Domingo, not Santiago, at 7:00 pm If your flight arrives on time, and there are no delays in the airport, you should easily be able to catch that bus. Otherwise I would say that the taxi fare at night rates is about $80 to Puerto Plata and $100 to Sosua depending on what you can negotiate. Remember that they will not be using the short cut across the mountains at night. You might be able to negotiate a bit less, but I would not count on it. The standard fare just to leave the airport is about $20, so it would cost you that just to get to one of the Carribe Tours bus stations. The round trip to Sosua could easily cost the driver $25 in gasoline, though if the taxi is propane powered it would be less.

I would low baller her even harder, I would give her 1000 pesos. If can cannot work in Rumbas she is not in the position to be demanding 2500 pesos. She will go hungry.

As insensitive as your comment is I will have to agree. I told her in business if you're selling a product, your competition has their foot in the door, and is monopolizing the business; you should sell your product and services to a cheaper price to compete. You cannot up your price and put the burden on your customers. You should be offering 2 for 1 1700 peso deals and 1000 pesos specials.

Yes, maybe, but it is a pretty long walk from the airport down to the main highway at night and there are not that many vehicles around once all the car rental places are closed for the night. I once got one of the hotel limousine drivers to take me outside the airport for a 200 peso tip, and he then hooked me up with a friend of his who gave me a ride to Puerto Plata, but I think I still payed more than $50. Another alternative is to spend the night at a cabana near the airport, or a hotel in Santiago closer to the Caribe Tours parada and travel on the next day. You will still have to pay for a couple of taxis plus the bus fare, but on the other hand you can deduct the cost of the hotel for one night at Sosua plus the taxi fare. Either way, $200 for the taxi is way too much.

Cerebro, Charles Pooter and Guthrie, thanks very much for your great feedback, that's all I needed to reassure me about making my trip! I'll be there in about 10 days and stay for 2 weeks.

Guthrie, is Cabarette itself worth checking out for mongering? I've only been there a couple of times during the day, and all I remember really apart from the lovely beach is the guys trying to hussle me to buy their wares in the main street. Having said that, I remember a couple of cute girls there working in exchange bureaus giving me the eye, which kind of surprised me, since in Sosua this doesn't happen often! Maybe they are less overrun with opportunities than the women in Sosua, and therefore more open to advances? What do you think?

The best time for Cabarette is a night especially from Thursday to Saturday. It's definitely not Sosua, but it's a good change of pace.

There's activity walking at the beach bars and also at the street bars.

Sunday to Wednesday can be dead.

I'm on the outside of Rumba just hanging out when a Haitian chicas came up to me. She wanted to do a session for 2500 pesos. I told her why would she think I would give her 2500 for a quickie when I won't give a Dominican 2000. She said let me explain something to you. She said look in Rumbas you don't see a Haitian girl inside of there. I looked never noticed it before but she was correct. She says Rumbas is only allowing chicas with IDs other than Passport. She said Rumbas knows that Haitians only have passports for identification. She then inform me that she would have to pay $2,500 to the owner of Rumbas in order to come in using her passport. She says the police harassed them more and Rumba would not allow them entry. The streets or paying 200 peso to go inside of Classico is the only way for them to deal with the situation.

Sounds like the mongers picking up girls from the street will benefit from this if it is true.
