Ever hear the term 'going native'? I speak Thai and 4 months ago I had a simple room for 35 days for B12000 including power and water. You just need to tolerate other than 5* quality. Usually just the two * - you could also get a cheap apartment for about B4500/ month. Spartan and not close to the beach.

Food was about 300/ day.

I was told by Father, I needed to be kind, share, and spread our wealth to all the needy. So my first night in Pattaya, I decided to do some charity work on Soi 6. Personally I don't find 98% of the girls on Soi 6 attractive. In 6 years and the hundreds of Thai girls I've been with. Only maybe 6 came from Soi 6 bars. Half of them from Dolls A Go Go. By the way, they have a Facebook page you can look at to check out the talent before wasting time or money on drinks. So anyways, I picked a random bar last night. Not even sure what the name was. I tolerated the "cat calling" by the girls and took a seat with a view of the dirty street.

It was around 7 pm and the bar had about 15 girls working. I sat alone, rang the bell 3 rounds, bought all the girls a drink. When the dress vendors came by, I bought dresses for all the girls in that bar and for the bars to the right and left of the bar I was sitting in. Fat girls where out of luck. The vendors didn't have any their size. The whole time I didn't want any particular girl to sit by me. None were worthy looks wise. Most resemble what I would consider hood rats formerly belonging to an Esaan street gang. I then bought them all ice cream as their reward for knowing better than trying to touch or sit with me. I love it when I walk into a bar or club and they ugly girls are scared to even approach me. They know I'm out of their league. The hotter ones, then try to send one of their ugly friends to suggest I talk their the hot one. But mamasan always knows which ones I can play with. They bring the best to me all the time. Then the game begins.

Day 2:

Hopped around and settled at Horny Bar. Picked up a girl for 1000ST + 400 for the room.

Explored BR. Some good ones near Mike Shopping Mall. Didn't approach any because had some plans of my own.

Reached LK at around 10 pm.

In other words, I use drinks as a reward instead of a preward. I don't want to waste my money (as little as it may be) on someone I might be rejecting.

I totally agree with the master. I DO buy myself a cold beverage at most every club I enter (unless I immediately see the club is a dude and I immediately walk out), but I will not buy a lady drink until the girl has set with me and talked for a bit and, only then if I find her interesting. Yeah, many of us are nice guys and we give in, but this is our vacation and we don't want to spend time with selfish girls who impose on us, right? So, just say "not right now". They will soon move on.

I am the same with tips. If the girl provides a basic service, I only pay the fee. The girls are all independent contractors so I pay the fee we agree on, but will only tip if they went above and beyond. So, if on Soi 6, she commits to providing me with BBBJ and CFS for 1000, and if she does that, I give her the 1000. If she is a starfish, I will pay that, as there was no agreement that she do anymore than provides the means for me to get off via said BJ or FS. Now, if she provides a GFE or PSE, then I will tip her accordingly. One girl was so awesome I tipped her 50%, and she thereafter gave incredible service worth every penny.

The point is to pay a girl what you both agree to. Only pay more if she deserves more. And to buy a drink for a girl who has done nothing to earn it is not right. Girls that expect you to buy them things they haven't earned probably won't provide a good experience in bed. Make them earn it and appreciate it.

Due to the woeful level of talent on Beach Rd I have started to progress to Soi 6. However I am somewhat confused about the room pricing which seems to vary from place to place even though the price for a chick seems to be constant at 1000 baht.

For the rooms I have been quoted 350 baht twice, 400 baht once, and 300 baht twice. I am very wary about being ripped-off for anything in Thailand, so I am wondering if the quotes above 300 baht are designed to rip-off unsuspecting punters? Or are there in fact different price levels for rooms between the separate bars?

The standard price is 300 to 350. You would not be getting ripped off with either price. The price for the room on Soi 6 is not necessarily related to the quality of the room. A few bars have some really nice ST rooms, thought most have pathetic rooms with a bed covered with a sheet that hasn't been washed since who knows when, and with a communal shower where people across the street can see you naked. If one has a germ phobia, either avoid Soi 6 or BF the girl back to your hotel!

Thank you all for helping me by sharing your knowledge. I will definitely keep in mind all your tips while exploring Thailand and I will try to make most of with what I can afford to loose there. And it will be a great pleasure for me if some fellow monger would like to join me for a day or two for exploring. I will be in Pattaya from 7-9 February and in Bangkok from 10-12 . It's already some years that some bars raise their room price to 350 and with the new year all Nightwish Group Bars raise their room price to 400 baht.

Who seeks finds, he can have ST with less than 1000 in beach road. In soi chaiyapoon is normal to pay 1000 all in for ST.

Guys, please read carefully before give a wrong suggestion, he has max 10 k for 5 days for GIRLS. So this is 2 k a day to spend on monger activity and he know this is a low budget. Anyway he will be fine with soi 6, beach road, Thaifriendly, soi honey, soi chaiyapoon, etc. He could also shag 2 girls a day.

No problem at all, feel free to order whatever you like: coke, sprite, orange juice, lemon tea, etc. Up to you.

Good point. But you have to be clear. In every town, in every city in every country I have been to, some people think that bars / clubs / gogo bars / strip clubs (that don't have a cover charge) are happy with customers who come in and sit down for 2 - 6 hours and just order one drink.

A regular customer is in a different category. Random guys (no matter their race, religion or color) who wander into a bar and don't' buy a drink an hour or barfine a girl are a waste of time and resources for the bar. Unfortunately, Indians have the stereo type of being cheap, so Rocky is going to have to deal with that issue. We all know that there are many girls who have tiered pricing structure, and many of us know that the girls will typically quote Indian guys higher prices. Girls also quote older guys, fat guys, ugly guys higher prices. It is what it is.

You are 100% correct that Rocky can easily have a great time on a $2 k budget for girls. But again, you have to be clear. If Rocky wants 20 year old who are 8/10+, that budget is not going to work. If Rocky goes to Gogo clubs and wants to barfine a girl, that budget is not going to work (if he wants to.

Have a different girl each night). Etc. Etc.
