Transport to get around will be available easily and cheaply using Bolt, Grab or InDriver.

For me, the major risk you face being traffic seeing you as street lighting is minimal.
From Vijit to Laguna is very safe to do, tho I'the be more concerned about Vijit to Bank, or Bank to Laguna later at night.

Posts: 103Turned on Thai Friendly recently and found lots of freelancers on there. A lot of them leave their LINE or whatsapp in their profile. I'm near patong so all the girls I talked with were in that area. ST was 1. 5 to 3 k.

And as the last resort, how safe is walking around Rawai late night?
I'm used to walking around while travelling, so a 1 - 2 km walk at once is quite doable. I'm more concerned about safety.
1. Any likelihood of getting mugged / robbed while you are walking along an isolated path?
2. What are the chances of a stray car or motor cycling crashing in to you? Are the main roads around Rawai well lit at night?
I know you probably can't put a likelihood, but has this kinda of thing happened before or happens regularly?
I see myself walking up and down Soi Saiyuan, or inbetween Bank Bar, Laguna Plaza & Vijitt Resort at night.
Thanks again for all your helpful replies. If I make it to Rawai, first 3 rounds are on me.

Posts: 6Thanks for all the solid advice.
Wonder if its worth to hire a taxi full time to take me around at night.
What would a fair price to pay to rent a taxi from say 9 pm to 3 am?

Posts: 1173If you get a hotel in kata beach to be closer to water sports every morning, is it still close enough to the red light district for nighttime fun. I'm seeing hotels on kata beach for 30 a night. Do they have hookers in the beach area or only in red light district.

My advice is don't do it EVER.
They are most likely drunk, and if you have an accident there is no insurance coverage.
There are no motorbike taxis in Rawai.
There are occasionally a few tuk tuks that have come with rides from Patong or Karon / Kata.
What there is are some taxis.
But most people use ride hailing such as Grab or InDrive.
Or get the name and contact number of a van driver from when you have used them in Patong area.

Thanks for your replies. I emailed Vijitt and got the following reply. Looks like they are guest friendly.
Regarding The Nai Harn, their rates are quite high now and beyond what I'm comfortable with. So did not check with them.
Greeting from The Vijitt Resort Phuket.
Thank you for your inquiry.
1. Do you allow local female guests to join late night or stay overnight ?
2. If so, is there any charge imposed ? (ie: joiner fee)
Answer : We allowed local female guests to join late night or stay overnight with you.
She have to leave ID card at the lobby upon arrive and no pay the extra charge but cannot entitle for ABF, not allow to use hotel facilities and can leave from the hotel anytime.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require further assistance or information.Originally Posted by Pincc [View Original Post]

One thing I will say is that The Naiharn will probably be OK with it.
The Vijit classes itself as a family hotel, so it may well not be as accommodating to the request.

If it is the one in Patong, just near Soi Saynamyen, then it is girl friendly, as it rents out short time rooms to the thatched hut bars right in front of it.
There are also massage shops all around it, just go up to one of them, ask for an in room massage, and pay the price they ask.
Then either take the lady back to the room with you, or arrange for her to visit at a specified time.
If it the Bel Air Cape Penwa resort, you had best ask them, as it is right in the middle of a conservative Muslim community.
It is also a long way from any naughty massage shops, so it is unlikely you will get an in room massage to come there.
