he is charged with violating article 28 "procurement with regard to child prostitution"....if found guilty gets 7-15 years for victims **** of 18.
he is also charged with article 35 "soliciting for child prostitution"....if found guilty gets 5-10 years if the offense is committed as a business. the american paid him nearly 8 grand for the 3 girls. good riddance to him, his partner, and the american.

i'll give you an example, how well sovan tried to take care of me.
the girls he provided were consistently not my taste, (or rather, i did not need or expect that service from him), but definitely not ****.
i think he must have become frustrated, that i did not like his offering.
one day, he too took me to the "floating restaurants", to have lunch, or so i thought.
the boat-deck was a nice terrace on the river and i noticed two rooms separated from the boat-deck by curtains, one of which was closed, but the other open, revealing a bed.
not a bad idea to take a nap after lunch, i thought.
the food was quite good, though the one waitress looked somewhat out of place, being heavily made up, with a ring on every finger. she looked like cheap street wh*re, visiting relatives and helping out waiting tables. well, actually it was i who got all her attention, not sovan.
all in all, quite nice and pleasant surroundings, so i started taking pictures. unexpectedly, this elicited very loud protests from the 3 occupants of the only other table, all dressed in business suits.
sovan explained, that they were high government and police officials and disliked being photographed during government business.
right at that moment, from the curtained-off room. there appeared a fourth "suit", with satisfied grin on his unnaturally flushed face, still tightening his belt, while walking to the other table to join his colleagues. a moment later, the previously closed curtain opened, also revealing a bed and out walked a girl, similarly attired as my waitress.
i must admit, that it was only then, that the penny dropped and i finally understood in what kind of restaurant we were having lunch and why the whorish waitress had been so unusually attentive to me.
when i showed not the slightest interest in either of the women, and told sovan as much, he briefly spoke to the waitress (in cambo), who immediately disappeared, only to be replaced not five minutes later by a similarly made up waiter, who, in turn, began to devote all his attention to me.
i must have hurt his feelings, when i burst out laughing.
sovan's reasoning must have been, that since the guy (me) didn't like girls, he'd get me a boy.
where else in this world can you get a service like that from your chauffeur these days?!
it is a pity that sovan must have gone too far one day!

Posts: 285Mee or May..Same same but different?
Are these the same guys or different guys?
Some people seem to be referring to this guy/s as one person though the spelling of their names are different.

Posts: 1584max - take my word for it and FLY INTO SIEM RIEP. The bus or train from BKK takes all day and you need to start from BKK (or maybe Chantaburi by bus and go up thru Sakaeo to POIPET and then on into Siem Riep by taxi), You get to Poipet about 2 or so and then into SR about 6 or so. About 4 is the best you can expect after leaving BKK at maybe 5am or so
To FLY costs a bit more (QUITE A BIT MORE 5x or 6X) but it's about 1 hour in the air and you don't have to deal with the "visa mafia" at Poipet and the taxi mafia to get out of Poipet. It's "difficult" even if you speak Thai once you get beyond the border. Go read "Cambodia overland" traveller's reports in "Talesofasia.com". it's ALL TRUE (I can't vouch for the last 4 months or so but it was essentially correct before since I wrote a couple of the reports myself.)
IF you insist on going overland, do the electronic visa $25 (take a passport picture with you - you will need it when you cross the border). It's just so much easier, though to FLY unless you want to spend the time and watch the scenery (and the red clay dust roostertails)
Enjoy Angkor Wat if you get there. take lots of pictures, carry extra batteries. $20 1 day; $40 3 days, $60 a whole week 7 days 3 was enough for me. It rained every day in the evening but that was June. Floods in the streets
Companionship is quite a bit dearer in SR than in PP (2x to 4X even for the lower grade)
Saying Cambodia is nothing like Thailand is like saying that England is nothing like India. Even though they share a border, the differences are almost as profound as England/India. Khmer are nice people but DIRT POOR
Chok Dee!

I'll vouch for Saran also, he made my stay very comfortable. Watched out for me really well and took me to many great places. Remember to tell him "you hate him and you hope he dies" he will love to hear it. Just an inside joke is all.
