Airport nbo to City shouldn't be more than 1000 ksh.
You could check the rate here:
uber.com/fare-estimate/
But Be carefully. Uber killes People! Better take the first guy approaching you at the airport or ask your hotel whether they have an gardener.

I used regular taxi from CBD to Sykimau As I had luggage. Same as Airport 2000 ksh. In Mtwapa I use Uber now.
No need to prebook these joints. I travel now for almost a month. I never found a fully booked hotel. In fact I never prebook. Check out Jumia Travel they have a number of cheap hotels in Nairobi. Check Aden City bay and Kima hotel. I passed the Kahama its in a crap location. Be aware that they overcharge room prices. I stay right now in Nakuru. The walk in rate was 700 ksh. But the rate on Jumia was 1250 ksh. For the same crappy room. So I like to search using Jumia but i check room first. I found a great hotel in Jinja for a song. And be careful with Uber too. People got killed at night using Uber. There is scams going on with fake number plates etc. Especially when you arrive at the airport with all your stuff.

I usually have a coffee at the airport cafe & ask the driver to come to the departure entrance.

Posts: 478(messed up Naked Gunz quotes about times are changing).
Quite a lot has changed. On my vists to Nairobi I used to go use Chesterhouse hotel, but then it got crazy expensive, both room rate and prize to take girl. So I changed to use Terminal hotel (quite a drop of hotel quality).
I went to Nakumat to buy food and drinks, Simmers for afternoon girls and Madhouse for the night. I never went to any other place.
Only Simmers exists anymore, Terminal and Madhouse are gone. I don't know if Nakumat is open anymore, last time in Mombasa they did not have insect repellent anymore. In Dar I could not buy water from Nakumat, they had only 10 liter bottles. I heard that in Bamburi Nakumat they did not have toilet paper, sounds like Venezuela.
I guess I will now just hangaround in that street where is Black Diamond and some other clubs, like a good musungu tourist.

Here it is unfortunately not yet possible to book online. ".
Instead I booked Kahama hotel, it was only about 35 dollars or 3500 KSh for night. It was quite near this Eureka, and I was frequenting Kahama before in Mombasa until I started to use Big Tree. But then I looked Google Map more carefully, Kahama Nairobi is next to roundabout, looks like there is nothing else near it, whatever I do I need to take taxi. So it looks like mistake. Well, it is paid already for two nights, so there I will stay.
Price of taxi nowadays? Or should I use uber? I heard that in Mombasa taxi drivers don't let uber drivers to airport, how is it Nairobi?

You arrive 2:30--it takes you 1 hour if you lucky to get through immigration and find your luggage. Then you need a cab to town. Till you there its about 5:00 in the monrning.
If you know how to play on Badoo, just arrange a girl to wait on you at the hotel lobby.
If you don't know, just go sleep. LOL.

In Mtwapa there is a company which buys the ticket for you and provide shuttle service to Miritini station for 1100 ksh. I used it. Worked well. The office is 1st floor in an Office Building besides fuel station near Lambada. Bring your Passport as the ticket will be issued in your name and also the ID/Passport number shows on the ticket.
They told me they plan to extend the service also to Nairobi.
Neddy.
This is for economy of course. But there is little difference. The seats in first class are wider and more comfortable. But all cars are brand new with A/C and working toilets. In the middle there is a dining car. Trip takes about 5 hours.

Posts: 4Which Clubs are open 3,4 and 5 am
I will arrive one Saturday morning 2:30 am at Nbo.
And my plan is to head to a club after checkin at hotel.
So someone knows which Clubs are open 3, 4 and 5 am (and crowded).
I prefer clubs like naiz oder casaurina in mombasa.
I was in Nairobi once for one night and visited a very nice club but I forget the name.
Google map says it was 11 Koinange St. Maybe Dolce CLub iam not sure. Is that still open?
Best regards.
