it takes some effort to find a truly attractive girl on Soi 6, but I found several there. And two of those gave a very nice performance and if I can locate when I go back next time, I may try to BF them for LT.

I am not a frequent Soi 6 customer exactly for the reasons you state, quality is scarce, but I too have found a small number of cute gals over the years. My MO is to slowly walk the Soi back and forth for 30 minutes or so around dusk and if I do not see any worthwhile girls I move on to Go Go Land. I have found nice girls at Ruby Club, Red Point, Pussy Club and O BAR.

Another MO is to become more immersed into the Soi 6 scene, to hang out there and get to know some of the bar owners and girls better, but not being a drinker except on those occasions when its Tequila time with a hot girl, I wouldn't know about that. It's not my style to hang out in bars socializing. Now if they were serving quality reefer in them bars, I would hang out on the 6 all day long. 555. And meet some very interesting characters.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm guessing soi 6 has a huge turnover rate. There were a ton of girls back in May that looked pretty good, one of the bars had at least 6 girls I would have tried out. Several were brand new to the business, having just arrived in Pattaya. So I'm guessing churn and burn is the way it goes, one trip you'll find many, the next trip will be devoid of talent.

Note that I did not settle for an average girl on Soi 6. I would walk down the street to survey what was available, then turn back if I found someone that appealed to me. More often that not, after that first pass and not finding one up to my standards, I would turn back down on Beach Road to survey the FLers there. Only one time during the day over 7 days did I find a girl that I cared to be with on there. I do believe that if one can settle for a strictly average girl, BR may indeed be better if you put in the time. I walked up and down that road quite a few times, though, and the extra 300 B BF on Soi 6 for an attractive girl (two charged 1000 B and one 1500 B. This was last May) vs. An average girl was worth it to me. But for sure, it takes some effort to find a truly attractive girl on Soi 6, but I found several there. Looking back a few weeks, it appears that about the cheapest Soi 6 girl of unknown looks wants 800 B and will not (or cannot) negotiate lower than that. In my analysis, I was referring to the really cute, young spinners for 1000 B. For 1000 B, I am speaking of the Soi 6's cream of the cream, not the old, fat and desperate.

So is paying a 20% premium for a young and super cute spinner worth it on Soi 6? Given that 20% is less than $10, heck yes! There is no apples-to-oranges comparison, simply that the pretty girls are worth more (to me at least) than fat girls. If you can get a fattie on Soi 6 for even 500 B and be happy, then great, but that is not what I am in the market for. I can get fatties at home for free.

Also, some of the BFs on WS are 1000 B or more. Many of those bar girls are not better looking that the Soi 6 girls I am speaking of. So if have to pay a 1000 B BF and 3000 B for the girl who looks the same as the Soi 6 girl I am after, then is the Soi 6 girl not a bargain?! I saved 50%. Apples to apples here.

My comparison to girls back home simply helps to underscore that Thai girls are a great value and one can justify a trip to LOS for a vacation based on that value.

If MrE comes back and says he got a top looker at a Soi 6 bar for 500 B, I will salute him. And when I, hopefully, return in November, I will indeed negotiate harder. No one wants to be perceived as a chump.

But great discussion guys! As I have said, I am still a nube and have much to learn.

Looks like me and Soldier share the same top 4. Seven days mongering in Puerto Galera and Boracay will not work. I have not been to Boracay, but have been to Puerto Galera and can tell you that they are both "bring your own girl" places.

Batam is a day trip from Singapore, crossing the bay on a 45 minute boat ride. Nothing there either.

Most people think wow Bali, but when I show them pictures of the beach they are like ugh, not what I pictured.

Vietnam is probably the nicest place I have been. Went to Nha Trang: nice sunny place again with not much to do. The Nang was okay but HCMC and Hanoi were great.

Best thing I have ever seen on this planet: the temples in Siam Reap (2nd: Machu Picchu, 3rd: Pyramids at Giza). PP is good for a couple of days.

Hong Kong: nothing to really do there but probably the most people that I have ever seen in my life (along with Tokyo). Just a sea of people moving and crossing the street.

Malaysia: wouldn't touch that place with a 10 foot pole

Two years ago, when I was last in the Philippines, I "took sand" to Boracay and ended up enjoying it, but I was struck by the paucity of freelancers. Others have suggested that I consider switching Puerto Galera for Cebu and I'm starting to lean that way.

I was disappointed to hear about the difficulties to be expected in Batam. Bali is not racking up rave reviews from mongers either; sounds like another place where, if possible, one should "bring sand". Pity.

I appreciate your favorable comments on Vietnam. Very few others have commented at all. I was expecting Vietnam to be thin from a mongering perspective, but I am interested in see the country so I'll keep it on the hit list but likely downgrade the amount of time I spend there.

I also appreciate your comments on Siem Reap / Ankor what. I'll stop there with high expectations for the temples and low expectations for mongering (based on the feedback of others).

Thanks for the warning about Malaysia. I can't do this trip and not go there, but I can downscale the time I was planning to spend there.

Went in here last night, very busy and big mix of girls, maybe 50-75 approx, 10's down to 2's and without doubt a smattering of LB's. Pole dancing, showering, stage dancing and various stage shows, no pressure to have girl sit with you, and if do virtually anything goes. Good security, drinks standard gogo prices. Bar fine last night was 1000 bhat although 1500 bhat quoted. The 10's 5000 bhat all night leaving at around 15.00 next day.

Great plan you have there! I have been to Puerto Galera and will recommend the place. Very nice for scuba diving and snorkeling. Beautiful scenery and secluded beaches. Sabang village has maybe 6-7 go-go's and I was impressed by the quality of girls.

I would skip Malaysia and go to Pattaya instead. No place, except Bangkok maybe, can compete with Pattaya if you are hunting girls!

Thanks for the comments on Puerto Galera. I am debating whether to go there or go to Cebu.

As for Pattaya, I spent 28 days in Pattaya in February of 2015. The hunting was very good indeed. I chronicled it day by day (see 28 Days in Pattaya).

I went to Vietnam several years ago and had a relatively good time in Saigon though found Hanoi to be sorely lacking:

Would recommend skipping Cat Ba entirely due to the blustery climate that time of year.

I visited both Kuching and Kina Kinabalu in Borneo. The scene in both cities is very hidden. You won't find FL's generally trolling the streets and most of the action is confined to MP's. Fellow member, Hafni, is a good source for the latter city of KK. There is a great 4 hand massage place there that he can direct you to. Kuching is a nice place but really dead for nightlife:

This surprised me. I am going to have to rethink this aspect of the trip.

The same can be said for Siem Reap. The nightlife is triple weak and the local girls appear to keep a low profile and local contacts are the way to go:

I would certainly add Pattaya to your itinerary. It lives up to its reputation and then some:
