I will be making my 3rd visit to Pattaya next week. Thinking that Songkram was from April 13-15, I figured I would totally miss it, but now I see that in Pattaya it runs until at least the 19th (next Tuesday). I will arrive BKK at about 11:30 AM next Tuesday, then will take the Bell bus to Pattaya, probably arriving at around 3:30 PM. Bell has indicated that they will not offer hotel transportation on that day, so I will need to get a taxi I presume, as I will have a large bag. Anyone know what the approximate taxi fare should be to Soi 13? I understand Beach Road will be closed.

I presume there will be relatively little traffic heading in to Pattaya on the 19th, as Bell was showing around 30 open seats. And my hotel has been showing a cheap rate, which makes it appear that Pattaya will be in the low season even if Songkran won't yet be officially over. I would not mind a day of Songkran as I have never experienced it before, but I think one day would be plenty!

I will be in Pattaya a week, then will return to BKK for a week to see my "GF" again (a real life, super sweet, old fashioned Thai girl, still a virgin I met online a few year back), after which I will go, alone, to Phuket for 4 days, then either back to Pattaya for a few more days or possibly back to BKK to see the GF (if I manage to break through that kevlar hymen this time).

Looking forward to it, but hope the last day (s) of Songkran won't mess things up.

Based on your time frame, the time you indicate by the time you or Bell Bus get to the Bus station area the streets will be wall to wall cars and people. Even if you get to the Station I hope you can roll your big piece of luggage easily because you will need to most likely roll in all the way to the Hotel while getting soaked. You be better off getting in around 8 pm or cancel altogether and come the next day!

2-3 K is the going rate now at Ibar. Yes you can pay less, but then you are not likely to get the girl you want and are likely to waste more time and money fucking around at the club when you should be fucking your dream girl back in the room.

1500 baht is less than $45. If you like to get exactly what you want when you want it then that is not a lot of money. At least not to me. And I am no millionaire by any stretch.

If you are a guy that wants value and quantity that's another story. To each his own. Do the work and save your $30-40.

Thanks, Uncle V. Yes, in this particular instance I felt a bit guilty about paying 2500 baht for the girl in Ibar. However, many times, you read reports about how cheap the girls are in certain destinations or venues but then when you get there, it seems that is already old news. Even on BR, I heard a girl quote a customer 2000 baht, albeit she was quite attractive, which gets to a certain point I would like to make. One night towards the end of my stay, I took a stroll on BR about 10 pm and counted about 275 FL's between the Hard Rock and the Burger King / Pizza Company. Out of this amount, only a few I would ever consider taking to my hotel. Most of the girls were not very attractive, hence BR reputation for being inexpensive. So the cute one who was asking for 2000 was an anomaly because of her comparative look (though she prob would have taken less depending on how astute a negotiator the punter was). Anyway, there are a lot of variables that are involved in how girls determine their price and what they
will accept.

But when fellow posters read about 1000 baht prices, or less, they need to keep in mind the attractiveness of the girl. And, sometimes, that can be quite low (from BR).

The same applies at the Ibar. Sure, there are girls, even in there, who could never get 2500-3000 baht. There is a lot of average and below average in that place as well. These girls might go for 1500 but the girl I took out was hot and her expected rate was simply higher. I don't think she would have gone with me for 2000 though there were quite a few girls in the vicinity who would have gladly taken that amounts, but they were fuglies imo. The other thing that complicates the mix is whether it's long or short time. Even my 2500 baht girl was a bit obtuse about how long that would be, though, in the end, she stayed to about 9 am. I find you just never know as it depends on the hour we leave the venue, etc. It does seem a certain type of girl wants to leave (my apartment) about 4:30 am or so and call it long time. It's almost like the witching hour for them. Case in point, recently, I took a girl to my apartment in Bangkok for long time. I was quite randy that evening and we had sex almost continuously for two or three hours, with some rests in between. She left at 4:30 am and I did not complain. I was spent, she was exhausted, and what's the point for her to stay another few hours. But I got my money's worth in a shorter period of time than I had expected.

1. Yeah, maybe you are right. But that's besides the point man. It's all relative. Recently there was a poster on the BKK board who was happy to pay 10 times that for his escorts. So, is he wrong then? Ah, no. It's all relative. Also, if I remember right this was a last night situation in Patts for Tomas before his move to BKK and on to Indo. (if I remember right).

2. But also, as MR ENT says he lives there and anything more than $1500 be and he believes the girl may feel she's got someone she can get more from. Over time, later! And if someone like you, finds a girl he likes, and does pay more than the $2-3 k later then that's ok too. ' Cause it's all relative.

3. Of course, the looks, dress and personality of the girl matter too and there is no equation, it's whatever works for you. Recently there was another poster who primary liked the beach RD girls and mostly went ST for less than $1000 B .So, it's all whatever works for you at that particular time.

4. We are all different man! And many of us are even different on different days and different in different countries.

Why? Because at least for me, I look at things in a math kind of way and also look at pleasure for myself with my own sensory meter in a quantitative way.

The total pleasure, sigmaad over time, say 2-3 hours in a place like Ibar enjoying the drinks, dancing, ambiance etc. , or over a 2-3 dinner in a similarly pleasurable setting (but different) also have sensory pleasure value and many times does compare better (for me in a relative way) than say 20-30 minutes with a girl in the room. Since unlike people like you who wear flame redartant suits I don't quite have the gear to last a whole lot longer. Even if doubled that with another 20-30 minutes in the am with the girl, it's still only 40-60 minutes, and I have to put up with the girl in the am, or during the night, worry about my stuff, walk her down in the am etc etc. Yeah, of course the kinds of pleasure you get from these 3 distinctly different kinds of pleasure seeking activities are not equivalent, we can all try to compute that for ourselves in our minds and with our senses and then make an instructive decision of relative values. At this point in my life, I often find that many people may not be totally honest with themselves about how and when to optimize these 3 kinds of pleasure situations, both before and after, with a feedback loop, when using both $ and time in such a rough inherently subjective valuation of relative pleasure.

I asked I-rovers and they said they no long offer this.

Cherry Bar was mention on the web but have no email / contact info to ask if they still do this also.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

If not I guess I'll take a stab at going to a Gentlemans Club as opposed to doing both LOL!

This might be useful. I have visited a few and I saw no reason to visit that side of town again. And even if you do find something that floats your boat, good luck in getting her to join you at your hotel, which in all likelihood, will be near beach road. Of course, there are plenty of ST options available in those parts, if that is what you fancy.
