Further update on this topic. Four star hotels sometimes offer day rates, especially in the low season. I've recently taken advantage of this for a morning of romping with my gf. My suggestion is to ring around a few places and ask if they have day rates, full day or half day. Very helpful for sneaking out for some daytime fun!
