Okay I get the humour in this. Yep, I went to EAFIT as well like Jbee2, yet I can't get things right either.

And good to know you don't think I'm a queer. I feel relieved about this. LOL.

All due respect, but seems like all your posts are about using 100% correct Spanish.

My guess is your a native Spanish speaker, where as most of the board members here are not.

Having Spanish speaking skills in Colombia is huge, yet this board is centered around finding and fucking women, and to that end, perfect Spanish is not necessary.

So with that being said, perhaps you can post something about your experiences in Colombia as far as finding and fucking women.

And don't get me wrong, everyone on this board, except the native Spanish speakers should welcome input on proper Spanish saying "dichos" in the context of what this board is about, versus Spanish textbook instruction having nothing to do with what this board is about.

I believe he was generalizing so then he was referring to both male and female, in that case he was correct in referring to them as sacalerOs.

Colombia is cheap all around. But the food sucks. Everything is so far away from each other. The other two countries the street girls, strip bars, discos, good restaurants, hotels, and mall are all walking distance to each other. Here everything is so far away from each other that a taxi is required.

Like they could not have contacted me several months ago as soon as they knew? Nope. It will take a month to do the work and they know I leave in a month. They put me in a time crunch thinking I will cave. No, especially when I get pissed off. I can return in February and have someone else do the work or get it done in another country. They do not like giving out receipts or giving estimates by email or written on paper. Very professional and want to send by Whatsapp! Tired of feeling financially raped.

So when Asia opens up I will be gone. I think I will visit Colombia for 6 months every two years. This is a place for me to visit but not retire. Very little peace of mind here. Can not wait until I can return to Asia and try some new countries there.
You may need to change your name here on the ISG as well. Lol. 😅

I agree the violence is bad in Colombia, and it always has been, but it goes with the territory.

Thailand has opened back up, and will see how it goes in the next few months.

Hopefully well, so all the newcomer SEA guys who have shown up in Medellin can leave and don't come back because I consider a lot of them, and other newbies in the last six months, not you, to have kinda spoiled Centro.

Nothing personal against the SEA guys, as I like SEA as well, but I just feel as though my turf has been shit on over the last six months. And I know there are others as well.

    New Bar and Hotel Medellin

A new hotel with 2 bars and 20 rooms is opening in late Nov in Poblado, large 16 person outdoor Jacuzzi can be rented for parties as well as rooms by the hour, I was told the the bars will have a large selection of independent working girls, something to look out for in the coming weeks, located between calle 10 and calle 10 a 1 block down from avenida Poblado.

    Violence.

I am comparing street area to street area of Pattaya, Thailand, Angeles City, Philippines. Not really fair in that the other two countries street girl area is mostly foreigners with few locals versus Colombia which is almost all locals. Now this does not happen all the time but it feels like it when I compare it to my visits to the Thailand or Philippines. Violence. It is like never ending here.

Last night at 8:00 pm two guys get into a fight at the corner of the Botero church. Police grab one guy but not the other who of course magically gets away. The guy they capture it seems was stabbed or beat in the head. Not much blood but he soon lays down, loses consciousness, carried to the police truck, and taken to the hospital.

Last Sunday at 1:00 in the afternoon on the corner diagonal from the back of the museum where the bars start. There is a man and woman in their late 50's or early 60's drunk fighting. They wrestle to the ground. She is trying to kick him in the face. At first it was funny because the whole thing is like watching a replay MMA fight in slow motion. He gets away and backs up 3 meters and pulls a knife. Then another guy walks him across the street and he leaves. Unreal!

Same day a street girl standing in front of one of the statues near the corner of the statue. Her loser boyfriend is on the side of the statue who yanks her hair where her head hit or nearly hit the statue.

Later that same day another street girl and loser boyfriend are fighting and she bites his chest to get away.

Two weeks ago two girls are fighting. I have seen enough hair pulling on other girlie fights so ignore it. Minute later I look and the girl on the bottom is bleeding. The top girl was punching, not pulling hair, and gave her a bloody nose. Police come but let the both girls go 3 minutes later.

Even when these people talk they get in each others faces pointing fingers and waving their arms around. Puts me in attack mode when they are doing this next to me. Not use to it and do not like it. It is not relaxing to be around. God knows what all happens the hours between 9 pm to 2 am when they are all nice and drunk. Oops reminds me of a time last year I was out at only 8:30 pm behind the church at the bars. Some guy got hit in the head with a bottle and lost a lot of blood. There was a puddle equal to the size of a basketball on the ground and plenty on his shirt. Not sure how he did not pass out.

Colombia is cheap all around. But the food sucks. Everything is so far away from each other. The other two countries the street girls, strip bars, discos, good restaurants, hotels, and mall are all walking distance to each other. Here everything is so far away from each other that a taxi is required.

El Centro is dangerous after dark. Always has, always will. It's not because you're a foreigner, its because you're there and you shouldn't be. There's a reason its empty after dark of locals, they're not stupid, they leave. Get an Uber pickup where you're at, and get out.

For the newbies: El Centro can be dangerous at any time of day. Don't take your flashy shit, don't pull your phone out looking at the map on the corner ("Hellooooo I'm LOST and I have a $1000 phone. ! and stay low key. El Centro shouldn't be a place you have any problems but you need to have a lot of common sense. If you don't (and if you think being in el Centro after dark is a good idea, I politely question your common sense), you might be better off staying away as that cheap pussy might end up costing you a lot more from silly mistakes.

    Cheers, BM.

So keep walking down calle 59 towards carr 48, take a left downhill on carr 48.

Carr 48 -58-64-- to the right of this building is a giant parking garage thing. Can't miss it walk in and go past the security, you will see an outdoor staircase to your left. Walk up, that is the new casa Cuba.

Simply the best, the best. Sebastian the bro who runs the place knows how to pick his girls. Always BBBJ and ymmv on DFK.

I've yet to see a gringo here but I've exhausted my presence at this casa LMAO so it's all yours.
Stopped there today, enjoyed a session. Place was jam packed at 330 on a Friday afternoon, I only got to see 3 of the chicks in presentation, hope to get back to see the rest. I think he's got 7-10.

The address you list is correct. The photo someone else posted is of the place next door.

"Cuba" is inside of the love hotel car park, and as JW said, head thru the big purple painted car park, take the first stairs up on the left. Quite nice rooms even got some hot water which was unbelievable!

I hadn't been to Cuba before but Sebastian said he's been around for 18 years, surprised I haven't managed to pass thru his doors (the location has changed a lot) previously as I make a point to hit most places.

Of course, as I'm walking around after, someone hands me a flyer. I send it a whatsapp, and of course, its The Cuba. Apparently Fate had it for me to find them today. +573194592464.45/65 hh / HR. Cheers.

Another category, which I tried many years ago, are the glue sniffers.

Typically they have a stench to them, similar to a heavy smoker, but instead of nicotine, it's pegamente and stinks and the odor seethes thru their pores, especially those that inhale constantly.

For the new members on this board, they are called Sacaleros, and typically they have little black bags which they squeeze the glue into and inhale. You can't miss them.

About five years ago they had a specific area at ground zero they would hang at, and this was before the Venezuelans arrived, and the area was along side the Museum in the walkway to the backside street. This used to be called "Sacalero Row", and there were some hotties there. And I did a few, as I couldn't resist trying them, but no more. I hope I don't loose any of my whiskers for not partaking in them recently.

Most of them are very thin / skinny, versus fat, and given that there brains are fried, and they are like zombies, they will do anything because they are so out of it..
It's been awhile, but I used to see them on the south and east sides of the big parking lot across the street from the museum.

Guest Friendly Airbnb and Hotels findings.

I have done a lot of research finding guest friendly accommodations for an over two month stay in Medellin. I wanted to get away from San Peters or anything too close to there because of the noise and I wanted to be able to host three girls should things work out. I also wanted to stay in both El Poblado and Laureles. Here are some of my findings, some of which will have to be verified once I am there at the very end of December.

Booking.com is a good resource to find guest friendly hotels and sometimes apartments. This is because you they show questions from people wanting to book the hotel and the hotel's answer. So, in hotels near Parque Lleras you see many questions if the hotel is visitor friendly and from that learn their policy, or at least, what it was at the time of the question. Bookings apartment selection is very limited compared to Airbnb, a bit more expensive, and for only 30 days, but. Most are fully refundable even if cancelled a week before the booking and they also have some accommodations that are not on Airbnb. I used them for my Rio trip a few years ago and thought I had a good value. There is also some overlap between airbnb and Booking so I have been able to use that to determine an Airbnb was not visitor friendly without having to question the host. With Airbnb besides the house rules be sure to read the descriptions for sometimes in there and not in the rules they will indicated if they are visitor friendly or not. If you find a visitor friendly place but it's not suitable, click on the host name and see what else they have which might work.

Now, as for apartments in the Parque Lleras area you will note that the visitor friendly market seems be dominated by two companies, Liv Realty and Problado Rentals. There are also some other large players, but they tend not to be as guest friendly.

Liv Realty apartments tends to be a bit away from the noise, nicely decorated (they claim to be professionally decorated, and I believe them), and reasonably priced. , if barely. All have fast internet, large flat screens. And mostly all good reviews. They currently have 104 listing on Airbnb all over Medellin. I chose one in El Problado on Carrera 43 between Calle 10 and 10 A. There will be some street noise but no bars or discos close by, and no complaints about noise from reviews.

Now, Poblado Rentals is a whole different matter. They cater to the party crowd. Their apartments mostly look the same. While they actually have some nicer ones, most are, well, for me for some unknown reason, the phase "Post Stalin Reconstruction" pops into my brain when I look at the decorations. They tend to in dark brown walls, tasteless bad art, black heavy furniture, and weird shaped coffee tables. I suspect that the furniture is an example of form follows function for the function is to survive heavy, drunk, partying gringos with girls and doing drugs in the early morning hours next to yet more gringos, drunk, drugged. Etc and the evitable interactions between the two. They almost all have hot tubs and most of the time, the hot tubs don't really fit that well into the place.

The issue with Poblado Rentals is that most are near loud areas without sound proofing near as I can tell. They also allow their guests to party all night and if you are next to them in the building well good luck getting to sleep and they are not noted for having thick walls. Last, myself and as noted in these forums by other ISG members and on the reviews, interaction with the management of these apartments can be at times. Unpleasant. My experience with them, even when I found some suitable apartments, was such to never rent from them. They are also I believe are deceptive. With Liv Realty, they list all their apartments they manage on Airbnb. Poblado Rentals has many apartments on Airbnb, maybe all but they are using different hosts names and sometimes it's hard on some of the nicer apartments, to determine if it is Poblado Rentals or not at first glance. I think they do this so they can have the same apartment on Bookings, Airbnd, Vrbo, etc. You can go to their website Poblado Rentals to see what they manage and use that to determine if is one of theirs or not. Their reviews are more mixed than Liv, but overall, if you know what you are getting into, then probably they will fine.

One thing I have noted is that Liv apartments are heavily booked while El Poblado not nearly so much. Indeed I waited too long and twice was not able to book my first choice with Liv after waiting just a few hours too long. One trick I learned was on Airbnb, you can click on the host name, see all apartments they have without specific dates so you can check each apartment and in my case, rented one for 8 days and another for 55 days and in this way, have nice visitor friendly rental from Liv all during my stay.

Here are some other visitor friendly accommodations confirmed via asking the host about visitor access but you should check yourself. All are I believe in more or less family type buildings, so if you are going to party and / or have lots of girls coming and going please don't choose these and ruin it for the rest of us, more discrete mongers. Some of the hosts have more than one rental, so that might also be used to find visitor friendly accommodations.
