There is fun to be found in San Nic, just have to look hard for it. Besides the bigger, and sometimes uglier, women walking about I did find quite a few chicas that appealed to me. Some of you guys will say that they are 7's, but 7's try much harder than the 9's or 10's (didn't find any of those this trip). I've had ice cubes that generated more warmth and enthusiasm than the so-called 9's and 10's.

A car definitely is required, as you need to cruise the streets to find what you want as they may not be there during your first or second pass. Daytime action is definitely spotty. As for prices, I've never heard the word Florin coming out of more than 50 chica's mouths; maybe because they think I'm a wealthy American so $50 it was. Also, bring your own condoms; the ones that the chicas use are too thick for my taste.

As for the rest of the island, they've built a bypass of Oranjestad from near Eagle Beach to the airport, almost like a superhighway with roundabouts where 80 to 90 km / HR speeds are the norm. That cuts off about 10 minutes from the north of the island to the south. I noticed that there a lot of security guys patrolling the Palm Beach area, and I think it's a good thing. They were even around the Mill, which is still open late (and has a couple of cute lady bartenders). What you won't see walking around are the Venezuelanas. After talking with one of the local touts, the border between Aruba and Venezuela has been closed off for awhile now, so all of those freelancers have disappeared. Only place you'll find them are as escorts on Tinder and Bumble. As an FYI, Friday and Saturday nights in Palm Beach are very crowded; Gusto charges a $5 cover those nights.

Final tally was 17 sessions with 12 chicas; countless Amstel Brights; great food. Fantastic way to celebrate my birthday week.

Decided to check out SN on Monday afternoon. Took the bus from Palm Beach with a stop at Orangestead and finally arrived at the SN bus station. Walked a few blocks and started walking up and down the side streets and very few girls out at 3 PM in the afternoon. Where are you from and they where all from Colombia, at least the ones I spoke too. I had thought there would of been a lot of Venezuelans there but that's not the case. So the girls where quoting 50 Florin, and one told me 65 Florin and I told her that's not what the other girls where quoting, she was kind of cute but was stuck on 65 Florin, and I moved on. Quick question. Reading the forum there appears to have been an incident at The Mill and the police are nearby constantly. Does anyone know what happened there? If the bar is open after 12, with the usual suspects? And if the cops are still nearby?

Am planning a trip to the island in a few weeks and just wanted to get up to speed.

I heard from a local that The Mill is now going to be a restaurant, but when I asked if they meant the upper part or the nightclub they weren't too sure. It shut down in 2020 for the pandemic and IIRC it was still closed last year when I was down even though the restrictions were lifted.

I do recall hearing a few years back a stabbing or big fight there and the police kept patrol. When I was down there in 2019 a Dutch National was drugged and gang are* after going there. She was found passed out in a tablecloth down on Eagle Beach in front Amsterdam Manor. When I went down to the beach, the palapa a few away from me was all taped off with crime scene tape.

Glad San Nicolas is coming back to life. I usually stay at an Airbnb property near the Carnival Village and have the option to either drive or walk into town. Maybe a 12 minute walk. I usually change dollars into Florins at Aruba Bank. If you change under 100 bucks, there is no commission, at least that is what it used to be. Like everything, things change. I like to do my recon on foot during the day and stay away from the bars at night, just because of the added cost of dealing with a chica in a bar at night. If you hit it off with a girl during the day, you can take her to Baby Beach and get her back in time for her shift. Then pick her up at 2 am When work is over and have her for the rest of the night. I've done this many times. With minimal financial cost. Some of these chicas are really looking forward to a change of scenery and if you play your cards right. You can have a novia for your entire trip!

Only downside of San Nicolas is that there are some unsavory characters hanging around some times. Panhandlers and just plain jerks looking to stir up trouble. Don't flash the bling and have a sacrificial wallet with a few bucks in it, if you find yourself in a tough situation. I usually walk around drinking a bottled beer. Comes in handy if you need to counter someone pulling a knife on you. Bust in on a wall and now you've got somewhat of an even fight. Plus it usually scares the hell out of the punk, since they think everyone they encounter will be passive. On that note. What was your perception of safety in town as of late? There is a police station nearby, but the cops don't cruise around the back streets as often as I'd like.

Regarding price points. I usually go with 50 florin. Which is about 30 USD. 60 USD is quite a jump from the last time I've been to San Nicolas. Especially if you are talking about the top shelf being a 7. Getting the itch to return to the Caribbean this fall, now that COVID seems to be a back burner news story and even the poor people of the Ukraine seem to be now a distant thought, even though the idiotic madness over there via Putin continues. I'm a chest man, so hopefully there are some decent looking naturally endowed chicas on the backstreets!

Nice post / tips. I went to SN in June '21 and also paid average 30 USD, some 'hotter' looking ones I had to pay 40. I drove down from Palm Beach and so took me 40 minutes. I didn't go to any bars, just wait straight to their locations. Entrances with secured grills and the ladies behind beckoning on to you. I posted a detailed report here back then.
