My last visit to Bodi was similar. Nobody in the fishbowl- straight to the end of the hallway where a girl was waiting. No choices. Nothing great, but I felt like they just wanted to get me through the experience and out the door.

I also fail to comprehend what is the point of creating a fishbowl which doesn't serve its purpose, but given my personal experience and some of the reports on this forum, I tend to be doubtful that the glass is truly one-sided.

I think it is more than comprehensable: the customer thinks the glass is one sides and feel comfortable. The girls can look through and, as proved in some cases, refuse the deal. Due to its usual size, I doubt too it is one sided. One sided mirrors are not that 100% see through and one can feel it is one sided.

The fishbowls I have seen always gave me the doubt. But, hey, it is not a big deal, at the end of hte day, safe for those cases where one does not want one girl sees you picking up another one

The glass window gives the impression of privacy to the clients, I mean why else have a separation. In some saunas there is a direct line up in front of you (Sacrosa) where everyone can see each other. Some punters prefer to take their time in selecting and. When they are in a group. Discussing the girls on offer, in which case privacy is welcome. Also privacy allows for choosing another girl than your regular etc, this can avoid complications (bad feelings, loss of face, jealousy etc). So I can fully understand the rationale of the window. However, what I do not understand is the reasoning behind a two-way window : as long as the client does not know it, he will feel the same, OK. But what is the advantage for the girls vs a non-restricted lineup directly in front of the client. Now I found out about the 'fake' window, I feel somewhat cheated by the sauna (please do not over-interpret this). Would welcome members' thoughts and experience on this, am I perhaps missing something?

The next day, I went then to Bodi. After the shower, I was asked to wait. I was already disappointed, since four or five Chinese guys were also already waiting. However, after about 2 minutes, I was called and was already happy. On the way to the fishbowl, we pass two girls, but they disappear in one of the girl's rooms. Then, the fishbowl is empty, and they also present only one girl. My "guide" says something about few girls left after Chinese New Year. Well, the girl they present doesn't look too bad. At least at first sight, and she has big tits. So, I agree, even though not too happily.

Now, I believe that Bodi also does some tricks. I am foreigner, and they presented this old girl to me, since they thought I am unfamiliar with China and the place (which both are not true). Most likely, they really do (or did) have a shortage of girls, after the Chinese New Year. And therefore, they wanted to keep the young and pretty ones for the Chinese customers (who are more likely to complain if they do not get what they expect) and possibly for some regulars.

Years ago at Golden 18, I was standing in the dark and picked #xxx, and all the girls started laughing. I asked her what was so funny and she said that it was because I was so tall and she was the smallest girl there. So they could see me through the glass. Earlier this week I visited Merrylin around 5pm so the girls were having dinner. The fishbowl had about 5 girls and I was not really interested, so decided to wait. After 10 min they presented another lineup, mostly with the same girls. Some girls even joined from their back room while still munching on food (!) very sexy, a Chinese punter who stood next to me said something about it to the manager though. I then made my choice, a slim girl. However, as soon as the manager called her nr through the microphone, the girl (behind the one-way glass) said something and the manager said that it was a no-go! I speak some Chinese and asked why, upon which the manager made some vague statements. I then realized that she would not service laowai, but how does she know I am a foreigner, I. E. The so-called one-way glass is not really one-way, gentlemen! It is even more interesting since I am mixed and thus look somewhat Chinese, certainly from the girls' viewpoint, I. E. She is standing in a bright lit room looking through glass at me standing in the near dark. I do not know how she knew I am a foreigner, because the manager only announced her nr and she could have been chosen by the Chinese punters who were standing next to me. Anyway, I (factually) said to the manager that I am not laowai, but mixed but the manager would not budge. A Chinese punter next to me even joked (in English) that next time I should claim to be 100% Chinese LOL. Anyway, I made a different selection and had a good time. However, it still baffles me how the girl knew I am a foreigner. Sorry for the somewhat long post.

There was once when I went there and I was really surprised to see my favorite girl in the past is still working there. I was surprised and she also appeared surprised then she started winking to me.

So, my conclusion is (once again) : if they present only one or only very few girls, and you are not totally satisfied with their proposal, you should reject the girls and ask for another selection. Even when there is shortage, there might be other ones. And if necessary, be prepared to wait a bit. Another idea might be to go there in the afternoon, when the number of customers is limited. I have been living in Shanghai full time for almost 10 years and my experience is as described. X or no X, I have been cheated by dark red and dark blue Santana taxis.

I sign my money from atm with a number and a letter. I never take blue taxi and red. Normally I wait the green light blue and gold. However the new withe big of expo are not bad. If I m alone never sit in the back so I can see what the driver do with my cash. 3 times I ve had money back from the company. One time I saw the fuxxxx driver cry in front of police. One time (weni I was just arrived here. 8 yrs before they change my money with fake money. Now if I m alone. I prefer drive my scooter.

That is surprising. Usually Bodi charges shows up as Jiuyi Touzi (JiuYi Investment) on my statements in the past, but I use VISA, not sure if the card network has anything to do with the name of the entity though.

I was at Bo Di in early November. I stop off in the afternoon with two colleagues. A good friend made a call to one of the senior manager and when we got there, after the formalities, he were taken to a private room. You may be right that they stash the younger one for the Chinese customer. On the way to the room, I ask the manager to take a look at the fishbowl. Being early in the afternoon I did not see much in the fishbowl. When we got to the room, they gave us a private line up. Much different than the one the I saw just a few minutes ago. Much younger and higher in quality.
