Russia, is not more expensive, if you know what you are doing and you have a way better chance of meeting fresh girls. Ukraine's are not having babies anymore at least not in Ukraine, very low birth rate and 15-25% population is leaving the country annually, major brain drain, both male / female.

These are facts others choose to ignore and pretend like this is not an issue.

For years I frequented a salon called Bagira, located on the ground floor of a Soviet 5-storey block of flats near Lukianivska metro station. Agreed. In fact I have been trading currencies on some legit online trading platform in the last few days. Initially I made some gains from buying GBPUSD following the conservative victory in the vote, but then I started to lose my money as a result of some poor judgement of the market trend. Luckily the loss wasn't material and I really enjoyed the adrenaline rises while trading. I still trade, for recreational purposes. Trading currencies is quite similar to mongering, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. The only difference is that one successful monger may offset your loss from ten failed ones, which is not the case for Forex trade.

I planned to buy grivnas but no one is selling them in my town, and I didn't find an online platform to buy them either. I will buy them when I visit Kyiv next time, which will be soon.

My main currency is CNY and I have already suffered from loss following the trade war. It's always safer to have multiple currencies in your pocket, unless your main currency is USD which is fairly stable.

Trading currencies for profit is incredibly difficult, more difficult than trading stocks, bonds, commodities. It's easy to explain why the UAH has already moved. What's difficult is to predict future changes. Unless you are an expert, you should confine currency operations to hedging rather than speculating. Hedging would be if you buy UAH today because you have committed to paying UAH in the future, and want to lock in your price and thus reduce your risk. For example, if you have signed a long-term lease to pay monthly rent in UAH, then you might want to buy UAH now. Or maybe you agreed to pay a mistress a specific amount of UAH each month so that she can pay her monthly rent in UAH. That might be AntonySun1996's situation.

Most mongers have complete flexibility about future spending in Ukraine, so no reason to buy UAH now. If UAH gets too expensive, just postpone or shorten the trip, or go elsewhere, or negotiate a lower UAH price, etc. When you have such flexibility, low risk approach is to wait and buy UAH when you need them.

New President has people thinking positive. Nobody will know about the economic results until spring time, but there is a general slow down in EU economies. So, who knows what will happen in UA.
