Hi,

I am going to be in Panama City and will stay at the Hilton for an industry conference. As I am going to be around customers, co-workers and competitors, it is not really an option to go to some of the places mentioned here, find a girl and walk back into my hotel with her as I will be noticed and that will not be good.

I am wondering if escort agencies are a good option in Panama. Googling "escorts in panama" turns up a number of legit looking websites, I assume the pricing on these is a bit of a premium. If I tell the escort agency to have the girl dress conservatively and I give the girl my room number, can she get up to the room without an issue or are key cards needed to operate the elevator at the Hilton? As noted I don't think meeting the girl in the lobby is an option for me.

If what I mention above will not work, it seems my fallback is to just get a room at the Veneto and then get a girl from the Veneto or Habanos (still some detection risk I would face). The board seems to note a $50 chica fee at the Veneto. Between the cost of the Veneto and chica fee, I would be better off just paying a premium to an escort who can get up to my room at the Hilton. I understand that there are other outcall options in Panama City which I may need to look into, but my general preference when possible is for incall.

I meant to say that I went upstairs to departures and got a taxi. Obviously, having just arrived, I was at arrivals. Today I got my bus / subway card. It was a pretty good hassle. It's so humid here, all your money goes limp and I had to try several bills. I finally gave up and used a five even though the machines don't give change. Supposedly the $3 difference between that and the $2 price of the card itself would go on the card as credit. It did not. I went across the station where they had an office and they did a bunch of shit, handed me back the card, and said the credit would hit in three days. Great; I will be long gone by then. So I had to put another dollar on it so I can go to Albrook tomorrow. 35 cents a ride is pretty good, though.

Yep. I paid it today. There didn't appear to be anything stopping us from going straight upstairs, but the girls seem to accept it as a requirement and lead you to reception to pay the fee.

I arrived today and I went upstairs to Llegadas (Arrivals) and got a taxi into town for $15. Two turned me down at that price but it still only took 3 minutes to find one to say yes. I also downloaded the taxi zone fare map and the flag drop is $1 and then it is 35 cents for every zone you cross. So basically any taxista should be happy with $2 including tip for short rides. There is, in fact, an extra charge after 2200 until 0500, but it is a whopping 25 cents. It is 40 cents for an extra passenger and not two dollars like they tried to tell this German guy today. Somebody got on my case last year about being cheap with the taxistas, but if you look at the actual, official rates, I was way overgenerous.

So, recent development that started a month or so but really accelerated in the last few weeks is the flood of smoking hot Cubans. They are everywhere, they are smoking hot, and they are "young and fresh" I. E. They don't have the hardened pro look. I sat with three of them last night at Veneto. Apparently they have figured some loophole where they can get into Ecuador from Cuba (due to Correa's friendship with the Castros) and then from Ecuador they can make it to PTY.

I haven't been this excited to be a monger in many, many years.

My love for cheap / hot pussy and cheap / cold beer is too strong to keep me away. I went every day. But in my case I could have thrashed 90% of the guys in there in a fight. (one on one of course, I would have got murdered if I was jumped).

Bocaratona

This is the hidden gem of Panama and I almost do not want to talk too much about it. My buddy Biff Dangler (a Panama expert who is on the forum) took me to this place on my first night. The only reason I am going to write more is because I do not think many gringos will feel safe here.

The bar is near Casco Viejo and is next door to La Mayor. You walk in the saloon like doors and instantly smell feet and puke. All you see if local Pana men pounding beers and leaning against walls. They do not look to happy to see unfamiliar faces. The music is bumping and you wonder what the fuck you are doing here.

Beer is $1.25 here. If your huevos are big enough go. If you are timid or look like a big pussy, don't go. A lot of locals won't even go.

Please stop this nonsense about Boca being dangerous and / or scary. Every guy who "discovers" the place posts the same thing. If it's safe for my blonde / blue skinny old gringo ass it's safe for anyone. The street and sidewalk are busy with customers, taxis and street vendors all the time. Inside, if a Panamanian is looking at you sideways you're definitely looking at them wrong. They ignore me 100% and I ignore them. You should be looking at the girls, not the guys, in any case. Yes, there are occasional fights among Panamanian guys so keep your eyes open but I've seen as many fights in expensive Chicago dance clubs among the 'roid range idiots.

What if you book a room for 2? Couldn't this be a way around the chica fee from the hotel?

Well with most hotels the policy is you'd have to register one woman as your novia or guest and she would be the only one allowed up to the room with you for the duration of your stay.

There was some talk about the $50 charge when it started about a week ago, and it is in the "General Info" thread for Panama. (The top thread in the Panama forum.) Yes, it is a chica fee. There are some ways around it, like bringing the chica up before or after the security person is by the elevator, which is maybe 9 pm to 3 am.

Interestingly, one of the chicas told me that she had to pay $15 per night to the Veneto, in order to work the casino floor area.
