The strip club Platino has changed its name to Andromeda. Most other things remain the same. They still have the best prices in town for lap dances, if that is your thing, at 250 Pesos for ten minutes. At most clubs that will get you three minutes. Full service in the back room is 1500 Pesos for half an hour. You can also get take out. Most of the male staff have excellent English skills. The waiters don't try to cheat you on your change like some other clubs. There are a few gorgeous women working there, but some of them need an attitude adjustment. The top performer there is Valery. She is the slim athletic type and always has a smile and a good attitude. Her energy level is high and she is fun to be with.

Unfortunately this club seems to be in decline. There are fewer customers than in the past. The front door guy is starting to demand tips. They added a guy in the back to monitor the rooms and keep time. He is also asking for tips. If you use the bathroom there is a guy there that wants a tip. The waiters want a tip, but at least they are providing a service. It is starting to make El Y Ella look like the best strip club, except the waiter there tried to cheat me on my change. When you hand them a 200 or 500 Peso note, they hide it behind their back and hold out a 20 Peso note and claim you only gave them 20. Rogelio said they are famous for this trick. Why is it the clubs all try to annoy their customers?

I finally contacted Rogelio, the local taxi driver who has been mentioned on this forum several times. I've been meaning to do this on previous trips but didn't get around to it. I saw his white van number 085 parked at a Sitio 4 taxi station on Olas Altas in the old part of town (Zona Romantica). I had been given his cell phone number by other forum members previously, but since I was staying in the area I just walked over and talked to him. He said you can ask any Sitio 4 taxi driver to contact him on the radio. If you PM me I will give you his cell phone number.

Finally we went back to la Zona Romantica and drove past several local bars so I could see where they are. I realized I had previously walked past some of them. Potentially there are working women in all these local bars at some point. For the ones I could see into I only saw one or two women. This was just after 10 pm. These bars are located all over town. Some of them have been written about on this forum, like Ballena Azul. The drink prices are cheaper and you can negotiate your own deal. Just look for a bar that isn't full of tourists.

Though the dive bars in PV are not my style, this post is the best I have seen on this forum about the local scene, since 2008 (post Urban wildlife). Excellent. I am posting it in ROD.

Everywhere we went he knew most of the women by name and stopped to chat with them. For the ones he didn't know, he introduced himself and asked their name, which I'm sure he will remember next time he sees them.

First we headed to the streetwalker area on Guatemala about where it intersects with Bolivia. I think the first bar we went to was called La Botana. This was about 8:30 pm and there were 5 fat ones. I was told the skinny ones don't show up until after 10 pm. We looked in a few more bars in the area and they were mostly empty. It was probably too early. Out on the street we saw some more fat ones and then we found 4 slim good looking ones all standing together. I've been told the going rate is 500 Pesos for one pop or about half an hour, whichever comes first. Supposedly you can negotiate for more time at a higher price. Rogelio said the police ask the women to stay off the street until midnight, to appease local residents. Until that time, the women run and hide in the local bars when the police drive through the area.

Heading north, we went past Las Antorchas but it was closed at about 9 pm. Then we went north and turned right at the bull ring. We went past la zona and kept going a short distance. There are some bars there where the women work as waitresses and are available for take out. Rogelio said the most famous one is Los Tejabanes. It is a botanero, meaning you get free snacks with your drinks. The women here all looked fairly nice but about half of them were slightly chubby. To take one out you have to pay a barfine of 200 Pesos to the bar and also whatever you negotiate with the waitress. I've been told this is about 1000 Pesos for an hour or you might be able to negotiate a few hours for 1500. If you go at closing time you can save the cost of the barfine. Just down the street is the bar Golden Boy, with a similar setup. There were more chubby ones there, but one really attractive one came over to talk to Rogelio. The other bars in the area only had fat ones. Los Tejabanes had different signs showing different hours of operation, but Rogelio seemed to think it was currently noon to midnight. He said that is split into two shifts with different women in each shift. For those looking for daytime action, this is another option.

Next we went to la zona to check out Las Alazanas. I was pleased to see the entrance to la zona has been paved! Now you don't need 4 wheel drive to get through on a rainy day. It was about 10 pm and the women were still in the dressing room, so I couldn't evaluate the quality of the talent. On previous visits the best ones I saw were sort of okay, but nothing great. The price here is 500 Pesos.

I have some questions regarding hotels and pricing please.

If I arrive sometime in early may what are my chances of finding a hotel room that allows guests for $50 and under? I need to buy my airfare a month out but I can wait two weeks before departure to book a hotel room. Bad idea? It seems like the gay area (zona romantica) is the place to look since they are used to people bringing back guests. True or false? Can a monger stay at a gay owned hotel and should he in PV? Would I be in an OK location to move around? I plan on using the bus system or taxis.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel that allows guests in that price range? I purchased the "redzone tours" pdf and I found it very useful. I am just wondering if anybody here has anything to add to it.

So my budget would be $50 for the hotel and maybe $80. 100 for session with a chica at MY hotel. Will this work out money wise?

I would be careful there just in case this girls would be up for something as prices there are high! It is like Mis Fantasias where you pay a hell lot of money and even if you try to negotiate with the girls there for a day time sex in there free time this girls want prices like Princesses just because there working place is in the centro. A tourist location that every drunken idiot can find directly! Why don't you check out the street girls? There everything is possible for a good price!

Are the street girls located downtown. I don't have a car down there so how do you pick them up and where do you go.

Las Antorchas is geared to the cruise ship staff. Before you go, check the cruise ship schedule to see if one is in port.

Well I'm here in Zihuatanejo. Mixed reports and an ancient thread, which I hope to update after tonight. I saw Kisses on the road coming in via bus from Morelia. Apparently all the strip clubs are in the same area so I'll see what this town has to offer. The thread mentioned some grungy places in the centro, which I just walked through. Didn't see any of that, though.

I was in Zihuat in 2005. There were one or two streets in the deep centro (maybe next to the market?) with little dive bars that had on site service. Tranny bars and Hetro bars were mixed together. Very tiny street but a few places to try. Don't know if they still exist. Also look for a hotel called. AZUL. Girls hang out in the lobby and sessions run roughly $70.

Checked it out earlier in the week. I asked for the 60 minute relax massage and she quoted 350 peso (there is huge sign above the desk with all the prices). She removed the cover towel about 5 minutes in, but I've had "legit" massages in Mexico where this happens, so I thought nothing of it. About 30 minutes in, she told me to flip. A little earlier than I expected, but I went with it. At some point, she got a little more comfortable. No prices were asked or negotiated. The massage finished (very happy) and it wasn't even 45 minutes. Then the cashier tells me 1350 peso. I have her repeat it, figuring I'm hearing it wrong. Nope. Upsale of 1000 pesos. I tell her no. She suggests a credit card if I don't have the pesos. I put 700 pesos on the desk and walk out. Just a heads up in case anyone is planning on checking it out. On the plus side, the 3 gals working were all very cute that day.

This reminds me on my first and last visit at this piece of a shit massage place. First they told me like 250 to 300 Pesos for a 30 min. Massage (If I remember correctly) and after they came up with 950 Pesos! The place is a rip off and the worst massage and hand job I ever had. The massage itself was terrible, Gloria was not interested to speak with me and and answered a few questions like if she is from Vallarta and if she likes Vallarta just as short as possible with yes and no, she only used like one finger and her thumb for the hand job, her face told me clearly "I don't want to do this" even during the normal massage and her attitude was all the time ice cold like a machine! Even speaking Spanish to her and smiling at her did not get any better attitude out of her. As soon as I started to come she jumped like 2 meters back and turned directly away towards the door. I as a local will not return to the place!
Cute looking girls are NOT a plus as Gloria is also a young and cute looking girl!

About the "Basilio Badillo on the righthand side as you face the mountains just before the street that exits Vallarta for the south" place: I was there a few month ago and payed 950 Pesos for a Special massage with Gloria. Yes, Gloria is a beautiful girl but she was giving the handjob like she did not want to do it. As soon as I just touched her hand she jumped back, notletting me do anything with her. The money was very bad wasted this time. How do you get such a good price there. 550 Pesos? They tell me it's 950 for the Special massage. 30 min relaxing massage + happy ending.

I still haven't seen a report on "where the locals go". There has to be more to PV than these places right?

Thanks. I think Osiris (Bucerias) was supposed to be on the low end. I wasn't in PV long enough to do further research. Apparently there's some guy that gives tours of the zona for like $50. If I were going to spend $50 I'd spend it on a chica. However if you check out the website you'll see that they're spread out all over the place from old town PV where most of the hotels are all the way up to Bucerias. It just seemed like too much effort. And the whole town is so tourist-oriented, I think prices went the way of Cancun and Cabo. I could be wrong. Maybe someone who spends a few weeks in PV could report otherwise.

Just got back from the place in Bucerias. It is a nice place and you can have a drink. 4 girls working. Only 1 of interest. The rooms are right next to the place. You negotiate your deal. All is negotiable.

My girl was very nice and GFE.

From the photo. Walking north toward pollo place. Turn right in front of pollo place and immediately left as to pass the front. You go thru another entryway and the place is there in the back. You can come in from the other side (north) as well.

A nice relaxing place. Girls are not the prettiest though.

The reason why Los Antorchas is empty is the same reason why Mis Fantasias is always empty including weekends. There overpriced prices! Osiris in Bucerias is empty during the week as locals work the next day and girls that work there know very well it will be empty so they take off and prefer to work there during weekends.
