    In cabo soon

I will be in cabo for the next several days. If anyone wants to get together and share a beer or anyone has any good tips, feel free to post a generic response indicating that you will be in the same approximate area at the same approximate time and I will try to find a way to get in touch over PM (eg, I may have to upgrade again). Ciao for now.

    CSL 8/24-28/17 Currency exchange

Forgot to add the Tipo de Cambio to my report.

The USD rules but if you use USDs you will get the gringo rate. From my Schwab card at the ATM I was getting 17.48 MxP to $1. At a supermarket. I got 16.5 MxP to $1. So once again the ATMs rule.

    Csl: 8/24-8/28/17 trip report

Guys, do not read this if you were looking for a lot of Intel on chicas down there. This was one of the most boring trips I've ever taken in my life but I still wanted to post a trip report anyway enjoy if you can.

    8. 24-8. 28.17.

TRANSPORTATION: LFT-DFW- left 10 min late, touch down about 17 min early but wait on tarmac for 30 min, so is it an early arrival or not? Leave DFW 20 min late. 2 h16 m flight time. Flight back on Monday left a few minutes late and we got into Dallas a few minutes early but had to wait because it was another plane at the gate. It was actually lucky to get home because of the hurricane in Houston. Both airport in Houston or shut down. Flight to LFT left 30 minutes late & arrived on time but again we had to wait for 30 minutes while another plane moved off of the gate. I got a $17 shuttle from the airport to my hotel in Cabo San Lucas. When you exit the baggage area there is a little kiosk with three or four guys hanging around there. They all speak English you have to buy the ticket from them and one of them Will walk you to the van where are you all going to Cabo San Lucas with a van full of 10 people. Actually extremely convenient if you have luggage. He dropped me off right in front of my hotel. On the way back I took the Ruta Del Desierto bus which cost 80 pesos or about five dollars. The driver said he would accept a $5 USD bill for people coming from the airport into Cabo San Lucas. The problem is you have to go from the international terminal which is terminal number two to terminal number one in order to get the bus into Cabo San Lucas. Once you are in CSL you can pick up the bus on the main road. You can't miss it, Ruta Del Desierto is spelled out on the sides in the front and back of the bus and it is purple and gold colored. Air conditioned any very convenient. Getting around in CSL is it a done by walking or taking a taxi which will rip you off. You will get the gringo price, you will overpay, and none of them know where anything is! So get ready to have a Google Maps up and ready on your phone.

So back & forth from the airport you have four options:

    – 1) private transportation, you set that up yourself.

    – 2) a taxi which will run you US $80-US $100.

    – 3) the little Combi bus van with nine or 10 other people which will cost you about $17 and will drop you off at your apartment / hotel.

-4) Ruta Del Desierto (purple & gold) bus which will cost 80 pesos or five bucks but then you still have to drag your luggage from the bus stop to your hotel or apartment. Leaving the airport you have to get to terminal 1 from the international terminal, which is terminal 2 to catch the bus into CSL and then on the way back to the airport you have to tell the bus driver terminal 2 and he will drop you off at terminal 2. For some reason they do not pick up at terminal 2!

A small word of warning, American Airlines does not give entry visa forms or custom forms on the airplane. After you get through customs there is a table right before you put your baggage onto the x-ray conveyor belt and you have to fill out one of those forms to get through. The stamp has red and green on it. They will not stamp your passport. You need to hold onto this little card that they stamp with the red and green stamp because that is your exit visa. You need to give this to the guy at the gate when you're boarding you're plane to leave the country. Do not throw this away as you need it to leave the country.

LODGING: I stayed at an Airbnb rental called hotel Roca Vista. The hotel was nice enough with a mini fridge, TV, sporadic hot water and a very cold AC. There was a gate with the four number code to get in and then of course your room key let you in the room so I felt very safe. It was $45 a night plus a $23 cleaning fee and an $18 maintenance fee. Esperanza and her sister Fabi ran the place. Faby washed and dried a couple of loads of clothes for me for three or four dollars each time. Very very convenient. Very nice sisters. They even put up some frozen fish for me for a couple of days until it was time for me to leave. It was fairly well situated a couple of blocks off the main road, two or three blocks from the marina, two blocks from Cabo Wabo, EL squid Roe, and the giggling Marlin.

FOOD: There were several famous restaurants within walking distance of the Roca Vista. Cabo Wabo, El Squid Roe, the Gigglin Marlin, and 10,000 little taco hut's that were all equally good. Tacos Gus was right around the corner from the Roca Vista so I ate there 2-3 times.

FISHING: I fished with blue Marlin charter fishing.

http://thebluemarlinsportfishing.com/$450/ day for the boat which is not bad in my opinion. I fished for two days, Friday and Saturday. On Friday we were trolling the beach and had seven Fish in the box by 7:30 AM. Mahi-mahi and tuna. I told the captain I was paying him to not catch these fish because I can catch these here in the Gulf of Mexico. So we headed to deep water to troll for Marlon. Hooked and landed one striped marlin on Friday, had three bites on Saturday but didn't land either of those three. All in all a very disappointing fishing trip in my opinion. Other charges were $20 for live bait, I had to bring my own beer / water and my own food on the boat for lunch. Which is no big deal. I finally decided to try and bring some fish home so I had my he my he into the clean vacuum packing frozen for a nominal fee of course, and transported back in a collapsible insulated carry-on bag! I received no trouble either leaving Mexico are coming into the US with frozen fish. I only had 15 pounds total but was surprised that nobody even looked at it or made me open up the bag. I did declare it on my declaration form but still no questions.

CHICAS: I posted this earlier just as a word of warning. Mileroticos is a scam. Every girl I contact wanted me to send her money upfront or join a website. I told them point-blank I am in CSL I can be at your place in 30 minutes and I will pay you your fee when I see you and not one of them accepted. A total scam. I was talking to a friend when I got home about fishing in Colima Mexico next year so I started looking at Mileroticos again but this time in Colima and lo and behold, the pictures and the names and the phone numbers were the exact same ones as were in that days ads for Cabo San Lucas. Total scam do not use Mileroticos in Mexico.

Walking down the street at least every other block a girl would come out and offer a massage, very nice massage, beautiful massage, very cheap etc. Etc. I finally took one up on her offer and went upstairs and she gave a great rub and tug for 40 bucks. 20 bucks for the massage 20 bucks for the tug. It was actually very nice well worth the $40 USD. I started talking to her and she asked what I was doing where I was staying when I was leaving etc. Etc. , she told me that she was going dancing with her coworker but she would be finished by midnight and asked if she could come over to my hotel. Of course I said yes. She wasn't much to look at did not have a fantastic body but had a fantastic attitude and give a great massage. We exchanged phone numbers and just like she said she would she texted me right at midnight and came over to my hotel and it was on, shower massage and BBBJ and BB all the way. I gave her US $72 as she was leaving the next morning, I saw her once more in the massage parlor ($40) and she came over the last afternoon I was there and spent the night. I gave her 1600 pesos which is about $96 for her three pop effort!

Overall, I'm glad I went but probably the most boring trip I have taken in the last seven years! I do not know if I will ever be back to Cabo San Lucas. El Mechanico.

    CSL 8/24 - 8/28 : Scam alert.

This forum is rarely updated but I'll post this before adding my trip report.

Do not use Mx. Mileroticos to monger. Every girl I contacted, without fail, wanted me to either join some website or give her a 50% deposit up front before even seeing her. I told every one of them, "I'm in CSL & can be at your place with in 30 min, if you are in CSL, and I'll pay you in full at that point. " Every one declined and said if I didn't pay the deposit, I couldn't reserve the cita.

So I get back and a friend and I are talking about going fishing out of Manzanillo, Colima next year. I start looking at Mx. Mileroticos again but in Colima and lo and behold, the exact same pics and ads as in the Baja Calif. Sur section of MxME. Absolute 100% guaranteed scam. Be careful guys.

    El Mechanico.

    Going to Cabo with girls.

Going to CSL with some girls. We had a blast last year in Amsterdam renting some girls in the red light district. Is there anyplace you all recommend that is female monger friendly?

Both of my flights are early on Friday mornings, one of which is Sept 15. Day before Mex Independence day, to GUAD. Would you suggest parking at Holiday Lodge thurs night, walking to Tijuana, stay the night, enjoy all that HK has to offer, cab to airport next morning?

OH, BTW, this is a Cabo board. I will be there in July, but flying out of SD for that one. Looking forward to more updates from there too.
BTW, Holiday Lodge just raised their parking rate to $8 a day. On the plus side, this might make it easier to get a parking space there. I believe that all of the places that charge $6 or $7 minimum to park do it per 8 hours, not per 24 hours.

    Flying out of Tijuana

But you won't get a space there between Friday and Sunday noon, unless you get very lucky. Most of my trips are from mid-week to mid-week the following week, because that's when Volaris fares and availability are the best. From Holiday Lodge in San Ysidro, I walk into Tijuana and overnight in the zona, getting laid a few times while I'm there. Then I catch a cab to Tijuana Airport the next morning (150 pesos to the airport). From Tijuana airport back to PedWest by cab is more like 200 pesos.

Parking at the CBX runs $17 a day, and crossing at CBX costs $14 each way. So if you do a week long trip, using CBX will add $75-100 in costs compared to my way described above.

Shuttle to hotel and back to the airport:

The hotel recommended Cabo Transfers. I was told it was $42 round trip. But when I made reservations online, there was no option to choose one passenger, so I chose 2 passengers, and thought, yes thought, I could fix it later. I tried to call them several times, but no answer. So, I thought, yes thought, I could fix it with the shuttle driver at the airport. Nope, I had to pay for two, that was their so called policy. It was later in the evening and I didn't see other options; so I paid. It was no wonder why I was the only passenger both trips.

    Hotel:

I stayed in El Centro, a block and a stone's throw away from the Marina at the Siesta Suites Hotel. The hotel is on a quiet side street which was a plus for me. The hotel was $246 for three nights. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had no problem bringing in a girl, but I met her outside the hotel and walked in with her. The hotel has a decent happy hour on the second floor sun deck with a quaint little bar with good prices. I would stay there again....

Not a lot of posts on Cabo, so very much appreciate yours. I'm heading there for a week tomorrow. Recently became single and trip was already pre-booked and pre-paid, so will see what life in Cabo is like as a single guy at a high-end All-inclusive resort.
Pretty bad I would guess, because you will have a difficult time bringing a guest into an all-inclusive, and the rest of the guests will be almost all couples, or couples with kids. BTW, which all inclusive? Spring breakers tend to stay in other hotels that are not all inclusives, and that's where you will find single civvy tourist females, if you have game. You could drop $200-300 US for short time in a strip club, but otherwise, Cabo San Lucas is tough, and the street action is inconsistent. There is a brothel called El Toro Bravo that is located behind El Squid Roe, a couple of blocks off the main drag. There are plenty of places that cater more to locals in San Jose del Cabo, along the main road to from the town to the airport. But you will need to have a car to get there, and the action there doesn't get started until around 10 PM.

Another option if you have some Spanish ability and a working Mexican cell phone is to get a local escort off of Craigslist. Going rate for these is probably 1500-2000 pesos for an hour in CSL. But I don't know where you will do her because it will be tough to get her into an All-inclusive resort for an hour.

Three night romp in Cabo San Lucas!

I've never been, had a few days off, and the airfare was very favorable!

The hotel has a decent happy hour on the second floor sun deck with a quaint little bar with good prices. I would stay there again.

    Communication:

I have the North American T-Mobile plan, so calls, texts, and the using internet were included.

    Restaurants:

I was in search of two types of eating establishments: Tacos and restaurants that prepared the salsa at the table.

    Tacos first:

Taqueria El Paisa. Good el pastor tacos, and a decent salsa bar.
Tacos Gardenias. Very good breaded shrimp tacos.
Tacos Guss. Very good el pastor tacos, and with lots of different condiments and various salsas. But way too many flies in the place!
El Gran Pastor. My favorite place of the trip. Very good el pastor tacos and there is a bar next to the place to get a drink and sit while you eat your tacos.

Restaurants that prepared salsa at the table:

El Squid Roe. Good salsa, but only the basic ingredients were used.
Giggling Marlin. Very good salsa, with added ingredients to spice up the flavor. The chicken and steak fajitas were kind of bland!
La Casa Country. Favorite of the trip. Very good salsa, with added ingredients to spice up the flavor, like chili pepper. Also in La Casa Country, I had the Molcajete with beef and shrimp. Excellent dish!

    Strip / table dance clubs:

All the clubs were within walking distance in Cabo; no cabs needed.

In each club, I asked several questions and did my best to write the answers on my trusty note pad. As each night went on, the more I drank. Thus, if I am wrong with any of my notes, feel free to correct me.

I always drink screwdrivers when I travel in Mexico, and always with the house vodka; Smirnoff. But many in Cabo used Absolute as their house vodka.

The fichas were various prices, I am quoting the lowest ficha price.

    Club: Boleiro TD.
    Type: Topless.
    Cover charge: None.
    My drink: 12.
    Ficha cost: 12.

Comments: Exchange rate was 16 to 1, best rate in all the clubs. Lap dance was $17. A very large, great looking club, but very few customers and girls. I saw I girl that I really liked on stage, but I was sitting with this older girl with lips that looked like the surgery went to hell in a handbasket!

    Club: Tres (3) Potrillos.
    Type: Topless.
Cover charge: $15, included a shot of tequila.
    My drink: 10.
    Ficha cost: 10.

Night / Time: Late Thursday 12:30.
Comments: Exchange rate was 19 to 1. Offsite, $150 for the house for 3 hours, $300 for the girl. I drank with two hotties from Acapulco for a while. I asked them why they were not working there; muy peligroso!

On my way to Tres (3) Potrillos, I past El Copa on the corner. I peeked in and it seemed like just a local place. On my way back, I stopped in the place.

    Club: El Copa.
    Type: Nude.
    Cover charge: None.
    My drink: 70 pesos.
    Ficha cost: 200 pesos.
Sex with one of the girls: Room and girl, 30 minutes for 2000 pesos.
    Sex on site: Yes.
    Number of Chicas: 4.
Quality of Chicas: OK to good.
Night / Time: Late Thursday at 1:15.
Comments: I walked in the place, and I saw the girl that I liked from Cabaret. I paid 2000 pesos for the girl and the room. The room is under the club. The stairway is dark, I had to use the flashlight app on my phone to navigate the stairs. We were in the room for over an hour and we, or at least I, had a blast!

OK, BEST TIP here! Cabaret and El Copa is owned be the same owner! The manager or owner rotates girls from both clubs. El Copa is one half the price than Cabaret for sex. If you like a girl in Cabaret, she will get rotated to El Copa sometime during the night; be patient!

    Cover charge: None.

Comments: Seems like a new club, the manager was nice and explained everything.

    Club: Mermaids.
    Type: Topless.
    Cover charge: None.
    My drink: 2 for 1, $8.
    Ficha cost: 12.
Sex with one of the girls: 300 for 30 minutes (girl and room).
    Sex on site: Yes.
    Number of Chicas: 18-20.
    Quality of Chicas: Very good.
Night / Time: Friday at 1.
Comments: After I walked in, I was attacked by a few chicas, shook them off and went to the bar. Ordered my drinks, turned around, and one of one favorites from Tijuana was standing right in front of me. We were both surprised to say the least. I was asking her about prices, and she started laughing and said 300 dollars! Then I asked her about how much time, she laughed even harder and said 30 minutes! She met me the next day at my hotel.

    Club: Splash.
    Type: Nude.
    Cover charge: None.
    My drink: 16.
    Ficha cost: 15.
Sex with one of the girls: $600 for 30 fucking minutes!
    Sex on site: Yes.
    Number of Chicas: 16-20.
    Quality of Chicas: Great.
Night / Time: Friday at 1:45.
Comments: The priciest club in Cabo. Offsite was $800 for 4 hours. I chatted with a hottie from Russia for over 30 minutes; she filled me in about the place. The girls get a 60/40 cut from the club, which is good for them. Problem is, the lack of big spending clients. Nevertheless, she seemed very happy working there.

    My drink: 12.
    Ficha cost: Didn't ask.

Night / Time: Friday at 10, and again on Saturday night, forgot the time.
Comments: I really liked the place, very laid back, and with no pressure whatsoever.

OK, between Cabaret and El Copa on Calle Francisco, there are some local bars that are somewhat sketchy to say the least. Thus, I had to at least visit a couple of them. Oasis and Refugio were closed the entire three nights I was there. There were a couple of girls outside one of the bars, but they did not seemed interested in Gringos; so be it.

Comments: Some street urchin directed me into the place. It was a big bar, but I was the only customer in the place. The 4 girls only seemed interested in talking to each other; I drank and left.

Night / Time: Saturday late around 12:30.
Comments: This girl from Acapulco came up and starting talking to me; she had a pretty face. She offered me sex for 600 pesos, which included the room; hell yeah! We made a quick right out of the bar, then another quick right down this dark hall from hell. The room sucked, but she was fun. The room had used condoms everywhere and used tissues to boot; I felt at home! For places like this, you really have to have a great sense of humor and a bigger sense of adventure!

    Massage places:

There were several massage places around my hotel and on Calle Lazaro Cardenas. I stopped and chatted in at least 6 of the places. The average was $40 for an hour massage, and at least another $50 for a "Happy ending. ".

I walked by one that had a yellow promotion sign outside that stated it was $20 for an hour massage. So, I had to at least have a massage. The girl's hands felt so damn good, and she knew just how to brush gently around the Little Sailor; he got excited! Thus, I paid $20 for the massage, and another $50 to please the Little Sailor; that bastard!

    Craigslist:

I contacted a few on CL and had one girl lined up to come to my hotel for an hour for 2000 pesos, but she flaked out. Some others were asking for $100 for an hour.

    Tinder:

I had three escort matches on Tinder, all were slow to respond. They were all asking for 2000 pesos for an hour. By the time they responded, I already had other plans.

On a side note, I guess many never check the weather forecast before they leave for Cabo, but I did. It rained like hell on Saturday, and I was the only one walking around with an umbrella! Even the street vendors were not selling them; they missed out on some serious cash that day. People were offering me 20 to 30 dollars for my umbrella. I told them I did not need their money, but I did need my umbrella!

Overall thoughts on Cabo San Lucas:

I enjoyed what this city had to offer. The beach was not as close as I would have liked; but I did not spend much time at the beach anyway. I don't fish or play golf, I just enjoy exploring the clubs / bars and chatting with the chicas.

As far as the strip clubs, I thought the prices were outrageous when compared to Tijuana. Yes, there were a lot more options, but the clubs were quite pricey for drinks and chicas.

Now that I have been to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta, I liked PV overall the best.

Would I ever return to Cabo San Lucas? Nah!

As always, just my two pesos of course!
