Hey guys,

Not very active in this region but would love to share my recent experience with all the bros planning to visit Batam.

Visited for a few nights in the first week of Ramadan. As expected, was not very crowded.

Picked up ladies from KupuKupu, Sri Jaya and Havana. Visited JV Happy but didn't like any there even though they had the most number of women. Visited one or two others as well but wasn't happy with the variety. For new comers, recommend JV Happy and KupuKupu. Damages for LT were 1.2 Juta. Girls were all accommodating. No point sharing names as I'm quite sure they were fake and they didn't have numbers or I don't remember them at least. Overall great experience, recommended.

Tips for new guys:

- Don't waste time and money in bars unless you just want companionship and nothing later.

- You get what you see in massage parlors, if you don't see a girl you like when you enter, don't expect a beautiful one to show up in the room later.

I am Asian though I have lived in a few bule countries for half my life. My home country is a 45 min ferry ride away from Batam, on a different island and separate country from Indonesia. *wink*

Yesterday I met a fantastic lady at Square, hot as fire, who wants to be my girlfriend. She wants to come to meet me again tonight.

Should I or shouldn't I? All my past Saturdays in Batam were a failure, because too many people in disco, most girls with their boyfriends. Therefore, I should keep my new pacar for my last night, my rational side of the brain says.

1) I was there in P3, right from 2 am to 3 am of May 1st. I was with two girls: one my old friend since years ago, the other a friend of her, who she found to make me happy (I love to be pampered by two in the big bed of Formosa). They are NOT stunners, actually chubby, but so lovely with me. I meet her every time I go to Batam for one night, and she always brings me a new girl. They are never stunners, but I got used to this appointment already. However, I don't mind if they are not photomodels, since they are really hot and do love to play with me together.
My table was in the back. I did not pass in front of the DJ except once, quickly, just to look at her (she was a girl initially, then a guy took over).

2) FLs are not many, but you made a mistake. FLs NEVER approach you in a disco in Batam, unless they are really desperate old ones. On the contrary, pretty ones just sit an apparently ingnore you, until you don't approach them in a way or another. When a girl approaches you, it's a very bad sign: either she wants obat and nothing else, either she is too aggressive to give you a good time. I always push away any girl who tries to pull my arm.

That night, I remember not less than 10 pretty working girls, mostly sitting at the back and at the right (facing the DJ) of the hall, plus other say 10 busy with a customer already (you recognize them, when she is too sexy compared to the man who holds her tight).

3) I miss Pasifik too (are you Indo or Malay?) but it's gone forever.
Now there are only two disco: P3 and P2 (Newton).
After Ramadan, Planet Holiday will open a new one.

4) Is Newton or P3 better? Different style, different girls every night. Try the other, if the first does not seem good after one hour you are there.

Dropped by P3 with a friend at about 2 am on the May Day holiday, in honour of BP. *smile

Dark, loud dugem (just the way I like it) but it was a sausagefest with no FLs to be seen. Stood with a friend at an empty table right in front of the DJ podium but we were not approached once, not for drinks, party favours, company or anything at all! Incredible for Indonesia. Where did everyone go post-Pasifik? P2? Newton?

I miss Pasifik.

Once again, I have to repeat: NoName IS NOT A DISCO. DISCO is another thing. Don't go to a disco if you don't know. If you go, I bet you will run away soon. BTW, no hope to find anyone there who speaks a single word of English. P3 is smaller, Newton larger and wilder. Good luck is the key in both places.

NoName has become even worse than what I reported last time (please read). I went there last Friday and it was totally empty. Disappointing to say the least. Friday was the best day to score. On last Saturday, there was people, but no trace of regular ladies. Only well seasoned pros (they call themselves "free-lance").

Best pub in kampung bule is Foreplay. Lots of PRs. If they are available for after-pub time, they must ask not less than 2 M, but who knows.
Square is the best place in Batam as of today, but read my last report about it. High society gathers there now.

Locking valuables in the luggage, with key or numerical code, is an excellent way to prevent small theft. Any decent security of the hotel will stop a girl leaving the hotel with a big piece of luggage.

Once a met a guy, not a naif one because he told me he was a pilot of a major European airline, who remained without ANYTHING in Santa Marta, Colombia, because the girl drugged him. He woke up after 1 day, finding the room without all his luggage, the computer, etc. He was going back to Europe thank to the assistance of the Consulate, which even lent him some money for basic needs.

Fortunately, this kind of inconvenience does not happen in Batam. Up to now, and I have been in Batam for almost 10 years already, nothing was ever stolen from my room in Formosa, by my casual guests or hotel staff.

It's just unfortunate that such experienced makes the trust issue very difficult.

I normally lock all valuables in my luggage in the hotel. I hope that is enough to prevent theft.

The exact same thing happened to me in Bangkok couple of years ago:

I had picked up a FL standing outside the gate of Hotel Nana (bang opposite the main entrance to Nana Plaza).
We walk back to my Hotel room for ST. I turn on the TV for her. I remove my jeans and leave it on the chair next to the desk.

I go into the shower and turn on the water. After less than 2 minutes, I walk back into the room with the towel tied around my waist. The water is still running in the shower.
I catch the girl in the act: she was holding my wallet in her hand, with my jeans still on the chair.

She mumbles sorry or something to that effect and looks very embarrassed. I gave her an angry look and point to the door. Tell her to leave before I call Hotel Security.
In all these years, this was the first time this happened to me.

The only difference is I did not lose any money. As you know, there is an advantage, when you pay *after* the deed.

Man I am totally confused about Batam. So many conflicting reports. Yeah yeah I know go find out for yourself.

Like that its so close to Sing & price but conflicting reports and nothing to do there makes other places more attractive. My main MO is pick up FL from clubs, disco etc and some learned friends say not a good idea.

Just my opinion.

I went to Batam and wasn't super pleased with all aspects and you can read about it a few pages back. Staying in the region full-time it is for me quite convenient to go play some golf and what not. When I got only 2 days I could spend a lot of time travelling or try to enjoy what is close. My 5 cents.

No conflicting reports. I have been repeating for YEARS that I love Batam, that Batam is my joy garden (YES I like to be a big fish in a small pond), but Batam is NOT SUITED for most mongers, that it is NOT a sex-tourism destination as most Western people would think such a destination should be, that most people would be disappointed at the first visit, etc. Etc. Etc. (blah blah blah). Where are the conflicting reports?
Batam needs time to understand how to move around. And you will not find sex machines like in Thailand or porn stars like some Pinays can be.
You need a few visits to learn what to do, especially what to NOT do, how to move, to learn some local bahasa Indonesia, to start to have some local girlfriends, etc.

I am going to Batam right before Ramadan, because I have a business trip to KL. I will stay in KL the minimum I have to (3 days) then I will take my bus to spend my well-deserved full week in Batam at Formosa. I cannot wait!
