It seems that the big clubs, in particular, the HK group does not always honor the coupons or promotions they advertise. There is a 50% off coupon if you buy a bucket of beer at Las Chavelas on Wednesday that was not honored.

There is a coupon for 2 free beers & a free appetizer on Monday / Tuesday that at best turns into just the 2 free beers.

There is also advertised a free breakfast on Tuesday / Wednesday that few know about and doesn't really seem to be offered for most but a lucky few.

I think that Tijuana is built more East-West bound. And there is a very high hill at the end of las playas that runs North-South that blocks sea winds from reaching into the center of the city. So the center and East side of Tijuana is warmer than the ocean side (las playas) of Tijuana. In a way it is similar to LOS Angeles. It can be cool in Santa Monica and Malibu. But hotter than shit 10-15 miles in.

Rosarito is more based on the pacific ocean. Tijuana is mostly inland a guess is 10 to 12 miles for revolution street. So Tijuana climate is different. In san Diego or LOS Angeles the weather changes 10 miles inland. Its not like the east coast where its only a couple degrees difference. That's why Tijuana is so hot sometimes when downtown San Diego isn't.

Just to provide one example, the beaches are quite cold and damp in the winter. Farther inland it may be cold, but not nearly as damp. Another thing, the onshore flow is obviously more pronounced in Rosarito than in, say, Otay. Some may dig it, some don't. I don't particularly like the beach weather here outside of the summer. So I can certainly see somebody not liking Rosarito's climate and wanting to move farther inland.

The wind off the ocean in Rosarito makes it really cold many days. I like being by the beach but for some reason both Rosarito and Ensenada seem much colder that farther north in LA. That wind doesn't hit Tijuana as much so Tijuana feels much warmer to me. I would still put up with the cold to be near the beach though.
