KK, once described by Marie Claire magazine as a party 'synonymous with the world's sexual elite', vets all its guests. Only the most beautiful, intelligent and wealthy are accepted into the KK family. 'Two out of every three applicants are turned away, ' says Sayles.

So what happens behind closed doors? After roping in a friend to join me for the Hedonism party, we arrive at the Sauna Bar in London's Soho district.

A sexy man in black tie opens the door and ushers us inside. It seems like any other night out. It's only when we're asked to put on our masks – to give people anonymity and add to the intrigue – that I'm overcome with nerves.

The bar area is decorated with ornate mirrors and candles, and out the back there's a giant Jacuzzi and sauna, massage rooms with double beds and several smaller private rooms. Condoms are dotted around the bar and toilets.

It's not long before we're approached by Georgina and her partner, Nate. He is a KK veteran and she has been coming to parties since they got together about a year ago.

They are both extremely attractive with beautiful bodies. I suddenly feel a bit self-conscious and am grateful for my mask.

We explain this is our first time and Nate assures us this is the perfect event as everyone is friendly.

By 10pm, there are naked people chatting in the Jacuzzi and by midnight, the private massage rooms are full of couples wriggling about on the beds, while others ravish each other in the corner. In the Jacuzzi, it seems anything goes. One woman has invited three men to 'play' with her. She looks like she's having a wonderful time.

Strangely, I don't feel awkward or out of place. I feel quite liberated. There are still people fully clothed drinking at the bar and I spot Georgina and Nate getting down to business. Our eyes meet and I think how easy it would be to go over.

The mood is definitely one of escapism. If I was single, I could easily get lost in the moment. Would I bring my partner? That would be telling.

Dagenham is in Essex which is on the other side of the River Thames from Kent. Like the parts of Essex, Kent, Surrey, Bershire and Middlesex within the M25 motorway, it is considered by many to be in Greater London.

It's on the District line with 2 stations. Last tube back to central London is just before midnight.

Sorry I was confusing this club's location with that of Eureka's in Kent, another club like Paradise Spa in Essex which is considered by many on here to be a 'London' party and swinger club.

It might be old, but it gives a colourful report of three different London sex scenes (swinging, walk-ups and strip club). I'm very familiar with the last two places you mention there, but my only experience of London's swinging clubs is either Rios or Paradise and I don't remember which as a female swinging enthusiast friend from other UK clubs just took me along one night. (Neither of us sadly got any full-on action but it was an interesting curio). I'm not sure I'd make a big effort to return as I found it slightly tacky (your phrase about spunk in the jacuzzi seemed to characterise it appropriately). Yes, I've read about these gentlemen parties in London where you have to book or phone in advance to book a place or get the address. Also swinger clubs which allow limited numbers of single guys to attend but at an exorbitant price.

But please let me the know the name of just one place which is open everyday like Rio's and which advertises openly like in the Yellow Pages. Where you can just be happening to be walking past and see the sign for sauna, decide to go in and 'Hello' there is a mass free-for-all orgy happening that you can decide to just join in if you want.

If you google London Orgy you'll get a listing of the main party providers websites (plus more). As you said yourself, you ring them up and they will give your their address and you make your own way there. That's hardly underground. There are organised orgies somewhere in London 7 days per week on many days from more than one provider. And these guys have been around for years. Punters wanting an orgy experience would not have any difficulty finding it.

Underground on the other hand is the scene in more repressed nations where contact details are passed on by word of mouth and prospective clients need references from other known punters and service providers. In some cases, address details are never given out. The punter is instructed to wait at a designated spot and is picked up and taken to the location.

Rios does not advertise orgies and if you were to walk past the premises, there is no outward sign that it is anything more than a legitimate spa of which there are many in Greater London. Anyone walking in cold expecting to see any sexual activity is most likely to be disappointed.

I suspect that you could get OWO with a few girls at the very least on the Wednesday and this would be worth the 60 quid alone.

Now on another note, I am surprised nobody has ever posted here about "Fantasy Videos" cinema in City Road, Finsbury, Islington. Apparently it has been going for years and there is always action in there. OK, women are a little sparse but your ticket lets you get in all week unlimited (I think it is around a tenner) so you can keep going back till you find the action you're looking for.
