18 months ago on my last trip to havana and staying at the same casa particular off Galiano Avenida, I asked the owner who I have known for 7 years what is with the 2 different chicas I have brought back to his casa and when in the room asked for money upfront upon which I hastily them returned downstairs. His answer was they must think you are Italian and Italians in havana are known among the chicas for not paying afterwards. Unlike other latin countries mongers can get away with this in Cuba as the chica cannot call the police like is commonly done in republica dominicana and elsewhere for non-payment. As a side note numerous times I would asked if I was italian which I am not, and I asked why do you think I am italian, the answer was your nose it is like a beak. My casa owner always took and held the chicas cedula until she left, but never wrote her name in his casa book as required by law, 3 strikes and the chica gets sent to camp in the boonies.

That'd be great, first round on me. I'm in town the weekend of Feb 22, staying in Central Havana near the malecon. I'm only here for 4 days, I just needed something quick to hold me over between last week's trip to Puerto Plata and my upcoming trip to Germany (March).

I have a question. Every time I see an Italian dude he is always with a tier I girl. I was once in Gunabo and the little restauant town square area was full of what looked to be Italian expats with fine girls. I went to eat at an Italian restaurant in playa or miramar, I thought it was call Bella caio, but I looked up the name on google and the pictures looked different not sure of name now, anyway it was the same Italian type dudes with bad bitches. I stopped by Copacabana hotel in playa same scenario, just Italians chilling by the pool, no gringos around.

Where do they hang out? I'm thing about staying in playa next visit and learn what's going on. I ain't never seen no Italian or Spaniard dude making the rounds at La rampa, they got to know some spots we don't. You can spot them easy, they all got style an swagged, even the old dudes.

This is a very good question. I always ask myself the same. Would love to see some good reply to this mystery.

Is there a bar / cafe where other mongers hang out? I'm a normal 30 yr old white guy from FL, traveling solo the last weekend of Feb, looking to find a few peers to hang out with & share some knowledge / stories.

I have rented a 1 room apartment for 30 CUC in Vedado.

It comes with everything I need (a king sized bed, a fridge and a safe).

Why would that not be girl friendly? Hoping I can just walk her in.

Yes 80 sounds steep. Unless it is super luxurious.

I've paid about 30-40 for a place all to myself. In Vedado. Right off La Rampa.

When checkign around AirBnb I found thatt the nicer places all have issues with bringing girls. So check with the casa owner. I usually send them a PM asking if they are ok wiht me having guests over.

Yes, 2 bedroom apartment. Figured bed for fun and bed for sleep. I don't know how to ado about girls on AirBNB without being obvious. Maybe I chance it and get the Casa Particular if it is a no. Go? Or downgrade my AirBNB and do the Casa Particular regardless, if I can get them quite close. I just don't know the area.

Get one of the casa particulares in old Havana or Havana centro for 25-40 per night. Use it just for mongering purpose if you want and stay at a proper hotel. Walk around and ask the owner if its girl friendly.

Can I just rent that when I get there? Help me pinpoint the neighborhood where those are? Thank you!

Some owners might have issues bringing girls in. Make sure to check first before making the booking.
