There is a Mexican airline (Volaris) that operates a direct flight daily from SEA to Guadalajara. Leaves about 10 pm returns about 7 pm.

Lots of good mongering to be had in GDL or cheap connections to Tijuana if you have your heart set on Tijuana.

You are better off going with someone else if you have not gone down much. Or find someone that goes down often. This way you can learn about the potential risks. The Zona has become safer the past year or so. But there still is a element of risk. One key is always look to see who is behind you.

Was in the Zona all Tuesday and Wendsday morning. I explore during the day so can't comment about the night, but there's been a jump in quality and quantity from my last visit a month ago. Previously, had to search hard to find something good, this time there were slim stunners just about everywhere I looked.
