A German tourist (probably monger) was stabbed to death there just a few weeks ago.

I did not find any reports on that in newspapers or the internet. The last incident I know of was a killing of european tourists in 2012.

Well, I have to come with a little disclaimer regarding my statement. A lot of girls consider me young and handsome and I'm quite fit.

I have gotten laid for free several times in Addis clubs like Flirt, Illusion and Oh Canada etc. It's also not a problem for me to get some Faranji girl action, although the white girls in Addis is generally below my standards.

I have picked up girls on the street in Addis as well (not street girls). Around Edna Mall is a good place for that, and evenings are the best. But these kinda girls are not so pro so you need a little game to get the thing going.

That being said, I felt I got a lot of attention in Awassa because of my skin color. Knowing that it is a "tourist city" I was very surprised when I discovered how few faranji there were in that city. It's obvious that most of the tourist there are habesha's which makes it a plus to be faranji. How it would work out for a fat and bald 50's monger I would not know, cause I didn't check out the pro scene. But in general for me, the girls were prettier and because they're not used to the USD mentality they didn't charge much (300/400 LT). But they didn't speak much english so it might be difficult if you don't know any Armhaic. Also don't expect any freaky stuff. But all this could be different in the pro scene though, which I know nothing about.

WARNING: Awassa is known for not being safe for faranji if you go outside the main tourist areas! Do not go in to shady areas looking for girls!

One time the hotel I planned to stay at was full and the receptionist recommended a hotel about 100 m away across a main road. My local friend quickly turned it down and said that it was not safe across that road at night. But there's a lot of police, security and lights in the main areas so if you hang around there you'll be perfectly fine.

That would be totally opposite to the behavior in Addis: hardly any "good" girl will listen on the road to your advances. Ethiopian society is extremely conservative, although prostitution is legal.

I did hear about college girls in Awassa having sugar daddies as a common way of support. But that's an option only if you stay there for a longer period. Would like to get more infos on your statement that you can pick up willing girls on the road?

I think I found the street you're talking about. Is it the one where L'escale bar & restaurant is located? Checked some of the bars but couldn't see any action like you guys described. Picked a ok girl from Grey Goose bar next to L'escale. Very pretty face, but when she took of here clothes she was a bit more chubby than I fancy.

Are these bars located further up towards "22"?

A few days in Addis Ababa, this was my third time. . I stayed in the hotel "holyday" for 270 birr per night. Low-grade hotel, I Do not recommend to stay at the hotel. Because of maintenance problems. The only good thing is a the breakfast.

And Location. The best in my opinion. In the corner of Mike Leyland St and Haile Gebre Silase st. No problem to get a girl to a hotel. But. Not pleasant and discreet.

There are minibuses and taxis for main location in addis.

I received a recommendation from one of the waiters in the hotel a phone number of a working girl.

I called, and the girl came to my hotel (I pay for the taxi 200 birr) . She have a huge sagging boobs. Fat. But the face is very beautiful.

Unfortunately the girl no sucking and kissing. She stayed with me all night, I fucked her in the evening and in the morning. It was nice.

Very clean, does not speak good English.

I paid 700 birr.

I'll get back to Addis in 3 weeks, and would love to meet someone from the group.

I know three more that are set up in a row. You can't really tell that they are any different than the other bars around them but all the services you mentioned are still available there. They are on the road parallel to mickey leland. Really hard to explain. Two of them are owned by one lady. One is regular and the other is VIP. Basically means you will end up paying a lot more but can do whatever you like without anyone else allowed in. The second place is two or three doors down and basically all kinds of stuff goes on while others are also in the room. Not unusual to see someone getting a BBBJ in front of you. Of course you can't see as well because they dim the lights.
