Hi All, Wanted to ask if anyone know tyhe current Canadian exchange rate is for DOP looking on line the average is 1 cdn to 40-41 dop. I am staying at BB's and if anyone know what Jennys is exchanging at that would be great I will check WU online also just in case. Clasico's has been shut down. Casa Marina has recently reopened after renovation, you have to verify the details: it's good for family tourism and not guest friendly. There is no higher end in Sosua and has never been. 4 nights is a very tight schedule and you may benefit from a wingman, or some other assistance.

I never stay in Cabereti but I am sure the restaurants have the games but I know in Sosua Flip Flops New rumbas and Envee are devoted to having multiple games.

I'm staying in Cabarete 9 - 13 January and looking for a good place to watch the divisionals. Is there someplace like Hooters that broadcasts the games in English in Cabarete, Puerto Plata or someplace else nearby? Any replies appreciated!

There is Semana Santa in April, and usually more rain and lack of tourists in May. These are important. Don't do Punta Cana. Don't stay at AI resorts. BB is an option for a start for couple of days, for example first part of the week. Lack of Spanish matters a lot in my view, but others may disagree. You can easily fill your excursions schedule from the North Coast. Personally I think the best option is still to stay in Sosua (even with recent changes) in a small hotel, apartment or villa and take it from there. You can use social media and convince your 8's and up to visit you. One of the greatest advantages of Sosua is it's mixed environment of expats, locals, Haitians, tourists and hobbyists, you can make new friendships.

I'm a noob to this forum and a noob for traveling to the DR, but I'm not a noob to mongering. I'm thinking of taking a sex vacation to the DR in April or May. I'm considering Puerto Plata (and surrounding area) as well as Punta Cana. I'm looking for advice on where to get the best bang for my buck. I've done a lot of research on options. For me it boils down to 3 methods. Method one is to simply go with an all-inclusive resort like Senses Private Club in Punta Cana or Playboy vacations in Puerto Plata. Option two for me is to play the field while on vacation and see what I can land on my own. Option three seems to be splitting the difference and trying a hotel like Blackbeards where Chicas are on premises but not tied to an all inclusive arrangement. There is a lot going into driving my decision. First is the quality of the Chica and my expectations. I won't settle for any Chica less than an 8. I expect a wide-open experience without a lot of rules. I also want a girl who will be with me 24/7 and possibly another girl as well for a day. I'm also interested in partying at night and taking a Chica with me for excursions during the day like a catamaran cruise or zip-lining I. E. Something fun with the girl besides bedroom fun. One thing I see as a possible impediment is my lack of Spanish. Other than a few common phrases, I know nothing. I know this hurt me as I try to score. So, for those of you who are DR experts, what is your advice?

My advice is to open up your wallet and just let the chicas rummage around in it until they get enough to satisfy their needs. Just make sure they satisfy yours while they are at it. LOL!

Getting all your expectations met while "ballin on a budget" like I do is going to be difficult without a command of Spanish. Since you are mongering vet an intermediary maybe helpful given your laundry list. Punta Cana has many agencies that specialize in the type of girls your are interested in. And the activities are there also. For Puerto Plata there are many more experts on the north coast that can help you. Will they speak up and actually contribute any useful information is another story. Don't pay any attention to those who don't have your money but who will be quick to tell you how to spend it.

If you don't have PM get it. There are many who may be willing to help you behind the scenes. But be aware that many new posters come into the forum get help from others, have a successful trip and then don't post a trip report. I know of two of such individuals right now that I've helped but that I consider it a waste of my time afterwards because they did not post a trip report or provide and information or references to me personally. But that's just part of the program around here.

Marina's little beach restaurant shack with fresh fish cooked on an open wood fire. My PP chica worked part time there. Around the bend were some great little beach bars too.

My chica say's Marina has been bought out, as have the other bars along the strip by Lifestyle, who plan a resort there.

At the same time, La Cosita Rica on the PP Malecon was another favorite beach hangout (opposite the Neptune statue) where a friend of the family worked, has also closed and been bough out by Lifestyle.

Co-incidence, or is something really happening in the area?

No shortage of rumors there. If it is true that a resort chain is buying out properties, I am speculating that it could prove to be a boom for BB, since guests at a resort could walk down the beach for a quickie at BB.

The other alternative is that they could buy out BB, though it is not a beachfront property. That would be a shame, as BB is a great place for those new to the DR. I still prefer it to the other alternatives.

Should be interesting to monitor for developments.

I think the room rates are approximately $45 - $60 depending on the room. Probably some suites even more. Chica's are generally about $45 for short term, give or take a few dollars. You can email BB's, I think they will give you the info. Last trip for me was in January, 2019.

Had an escort come by I found online. Girl in her early 20's who was cute, but the experience felt sketchy. She wasn't very communicative and wasn't very GFE. I booked her for an hour, but I let her go after we finished about 15 minutes in to the date.

Found success on Dominican Cupid with a girl I had been exchanging messages with for a few weeks prior to the trip. She didn't look as good as her pictures (I expected that), but she made up with it with her GFE. I don't even think I've had an experience with a real girlfriend better than that! Even as she was leaving she said she didn't even want the money, but I told her to take it. Thought that was a surprise.

I regret not going over to Black Beards, but I wasn't feeling very social and had my own talent come to me.
