As I have stated more than once, and as you can find on the CDC website, all pneumonia deaths are added to flu hospitalizations to figure the estimate. They estimate, even after the flu season had ended, almost 500 k hospitalizations when they had the actual number, under 20 k..
    Correction:

There were 187 pediatric flu deaths in the 2017-2018 flu season.

    More on Influenza

From the CDC, on the 2018-2019 flu season:

The CDC does not publish the actual, laboratory confirmed Influenza deaths. They do publish pediatric deaths, 111 for 2018-2019, only 137 for 2017-2018.

    In comparison:

The cumulative hospitalization rate is 102.5 per 100,000. That comes to 336,000+ COVID-19 hospitalizations in the US since March 1. (Using the 2019 estimated US population of 328 million).

You are so pathetic!!

With Covid, to a dipshit like you, Sweden did it all wrong, but you look at Peru and Covid, and it is way worse there that it ever was or is in Sweden, and Peru was in total lockdown. So the take home is everyone has a lot of opinions and no one really knows what they are doing. Except for you. You have all the answers, a legend in your own mind.

I can recall 500,000 deaths which would make the flu worse than Covid. You see I could pull shit out of my ass and dispute you. You are not the only who can mentally masturbate..
    You are so predictable.

Sorry, I'm quoting from memory here, since Mojo deleted all the messages in the other thread. "80,000 people died from the flu. I'll take the under on 80,000 any time. " A few days later I posted I would take the over for $1,000. Several times I posted that would take the over for $1,000. Naturally you never responded, because it would have forced you to venture into reality. It's okay. I knew you would never stick with anything you said. Look at how many times you've danced away from your pronouncements on COVID-19.

For the record, since you're another one who can't handle basic math, 6. Those were my predictions. 6. Not 10.6. Only 6. And only 2 of them mattered. And the 2 that mattered were correct, within a reasonable margin of error.

Now. For the made-up flu numbers. I already posted links to 2 of them. Let's post links to a few now. Meanwhile, better take your HCQ. Looks like a cold sore is about to pop up. I'll see if I can find numbers and links for the states I've lived in. You can't do that, because denial isn't on the map.

Washington state: 245 lab confirmed influenza deaths (2018-2019). 1395 COVID-19 deaths.

    https://www.doh.wa.gov/DataandStatis...rveillanceData

California: 588 Lab confirmed influenza deaths (2018-2019) 6708 COVID-19 deaths.

    https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID...u-Reports.aspx

    Idaho: 58 influenza deaths (2018-2019) 98 COVID-19 deaths.

    https://healthandwelfare.idaho.gov/H...5/Default.aspx

    New Mexico: 49 Influenza deaths (2018-2019) 527 COVID-19 deaths.

    https://www.nmhealth.org/data/view/infectious/2263/

    Indiana: 113 influenza deaths (2018-2019) (131 for 2019-2020).

    2732 COVID-19 deaths.

    https://www.in.gov/isdh/22104.htm

No made up numbers here. Although I did pull the COVID-19 numbers from Google, rather than JHU. They are not far off. I settled on 2018-2019 flu season because not all states have updated reports for 2020 and because the numbers should be free from COVID-19 misdiagnosis in January and February.

If you scan through some of the states, you'll find mentioned exactly what I said. They lump all pneumonia deaths with flu deaths because pneumonia is often a side effect of influenza. However, pneumonia is it's own disease and is a side effect of many things. This is where the CDC estimates are so far off.

As for AIDS, didn't need to make anything up there either. A simple search will provide you basic information on Barbara Peabody, her art and her books, including "The Screaming Room. " Looks as if the AIDS, Art, Alive program closed their doors in 1995, so can't provide much there. However, I really don't need to.

Why is it nobody seems to be able to do basic math? I say I saw scores of people die from AIDS and that means thousands to you? So when Lincoln said "Four score and seven years ago" he meant 4007 years ago? I always thought it meant 87 years ago. According to your math, the US was founded in 2144 BC? Damn, them history books were way off.

Sweden? Peru? Did I mention Sweden or Peru? I have made no judgements on Sweden, Peru, Zimbabwe, or any other country. I don't need to. All I needed to do was provide the actual numbers on Influenza deaths compared to COVID-19 deaths. Something anyone, including you, could have done. You don't even need to follow my links. You can go to Google and type it in yourself. I used "<state name recorded flu deaths 2019. " You could just search by state for "Influenza Surveillance report. ".

I love the way you cut out the stuff you can't deny when you quote people. All part of that cognitive dissonance.

I won't repeat all the times you moved the goalposts on your flu comparisons. I will repeat your social distancing flip flops. Got to go with whatever best fits your current "theory. ".

I never made fun of your sex life. I asked for clarification. In your post, which I quoted completely, without needing to cut out anything, you both claimed you were currently with 2 Colombianas and claimed that you weren't with 2 Colombianas because they both wanted to leave. I only want to know how that is possible. I mean if you're with someone, how can you not be with them? If someone leaves, how can they still be there?

But apparently your current sex life is a rather touchy subject. Mine is just fine. I'm getting the exact amount of sex I expect to get, every day and I'm extremely comfortable with that.

You might want to disinfect your screen. From the tone of your post, you clearly were foaming at the mouth when you wrote it.

Keep on demonstrating that mental stability which we've all grown to love.

    Numbers and Facts

World Health Organization (WHO) states that close to 800,000 people die due to suicide every year. There are indications that for each adult who died by suicide there may have been more than 20 others attempting suicide. The depression from lost jobs / businesses, retirement accounts, divorce, broken families caused by the Corona Virus will likely cause this number to be 3 times higher. So, 800,000 X 3 = 2,400,000 800,000 (yearly normally occurring) = 1,600,000 suicide deaths attributed indirectly to the Corona virus.

    https://www.who.int/mental_health/pr...ideprevent/en/

United Nations study states that the number of hungry people in the world in 2017:821 million or 1 in every 9 people. Other sources state that around 9 million people die of hunger and hunger-related diseases every year. That number will more than triple this year. So 9,000,000 X 3 = 27,000,000 9,000,000 (yearly normally occurring) = 18,000,000. Keep in mind that this year Africa is having a severe locust problem so could be even higher! Virus death takes weeks to die compared to hunger-related of months to years. How do you want to die?

    https://www.who.int/news-room/detail...un-report-says

    https://www.theworldcounts.com/chall...nger-each-year

    https://www.mercycorps.org/blog/quic...-global-hunger

Deaths indirectly caused from the Corona virus in suicides 1. 6 million plus hunger-related 18 million = 19.6 million.

Domestic violence is going way up. The largest reason for divorce is not cheating but money issues. Divorces the next 2 years will skyrocket. Families will fall apart. Tens of millions of children will grow up scared of everything because they grew up in a time that germs are everywhere and everything you touch could kill you.

It appears most the people dying are older and people with other problems (high blood pressure, diabetes). You hear, "But my 12 year old boy was perfectly healthy! No your 230 pound kid was not healthy. He was obese!

You walk down the street, fall, skin your knee. Very superficial. Then swim in dirty water and get infected. The abrasion does not need to be deep. I swear 40% of the people I know smoke cigarettes, pot, or vaping. Your lungs are delicate. That is like falling down and get a small abrasion on your lung so it is easier to get an infection. Again, "But my 17 year old boy was perfectly healthy! No your 17 smoked pot 5 times a week after school and that kid is not going to admit that to his parents or doctor.

People screaming for a vaccine. We have that for the flu and still 1. 2 million die of the flu each year so do not hold your breath for that.

People screaming about we need to save everyone and that everyone's life is important. Sorry different lives have different values. The world does not have endless resources whether it be food, water, medicine, money,. There is a homeless person and a doctor drowning and you can only save one. Which one you saving? Next a 10 year old boy or a 60 year old man? Next two 19 year olds with one who is 300 pound and the other is a hottie? Different values huh?

There are 7.5 billion people on the planet.

If 1 million people die of the virus that means your chance of dying is. 013% and living is 99.98%.

If 10 million people die of the virus that means your chance of dying is. 133% and living is 99.86%.

I would rather takes those odds rather than lose my business, family (divorce), house, etc. I would rather die than be homeless.

The Government Accounting Office (GAO) estimated that the 2008 financial crises cost the USA Economy $22 trillion dollars. That is easily $30 trillion dollars worldwide which mostly just affected Europe, Singapore, and Hong Kong who all traded the bad stocks, funds, bonds, etc. The virus will triple this loss worldwide to $90 trillion because every country is effected and every single person will be effected in one form or another.

Value of each person's life or death.

$90 trillion divided by 1 million dead people = $90 million.

$90 trillion divided by 10 million dead people = $9 million.

    https://www.huffpostbrasil.com/entry...-gao_n_2687553

Sorry but shutting down the worlds economy will be studied years from now and will go down as one of the biggest mistakes in history.

    Just a flu update

My data connection in Canada sucks today, so I haven't been able to retrieve much flu data. However, for the first half of the flu season, California had only recorded 70 flu deaths. That number surged in January and February. However, we now know that coronavirus was there at that time. The surge was likely due to COVID-19 deaths being attributed to ILI (Influenza Like Illness) due to no testing and no expectation of coronavirus.

Even with the possible misassignment of cause of death, Coronavirus deaths greatly outnumber flu deaths.

When I read about people saying you know you are going to go blind and stroke out with HCQ, it grinds me gears.

In all honesty, you are probably going to run into it. I have had two women (one American, one Colombian) tell me that they have fever and body aches, and they asked me what was wrong. I said they should get tested for everything but they probably have Covid. The American got tested and was negative, but I told her there was a high false negative rate. Both were completely freaked out, but both got over it in 3 days. The American said it was like Strep throat: fever, body aches, and then better. She was pissed that what she had was elevated into a death sentence, and she said, "Man, this is such bullshit. I cannot wait to vote for Trump. "..
I'm not saying she's fat, but apparently we can add "body fat" to the list of things you have zero understanding of. I can see a reasonable amount of body fat in that picture.

Let's start with AIDS, since you've been incredibly stupid about that many times now.

Back in 1984 AIDS was becoming a hot topic. I remember guys asking if it was possible to get it from a mosquito which had bitten an infected person. I saw a lot of hysteria, the same as from the Legionnaire's disease outbreak from a few years earlier.

Early in 1988 I met my wife. Once we were dating she took me to the place where she volunteered. She was an artist and volunteered at an Art Therapy group for people with life threatening illnesses. It was called "AIDS, Art, Alive" and was started by a woman named Barbara Peabody. Her book "The Screaming Room" is an excellent introduction to what it was like to be the mother of one of the first AIDS patients. As you may have figured out, almost everyone in the group was a gay man with AIDS.

From 1988 to 1992 I volunteered along with her. I met most of the guys, heard their stories and watched them fade away and die. I watched the ones who came in having just been diagnosed as HIV positive and ones who came in just a few weeks away from being bedridden. Except for one guy, who had become infected through a blood transfusion, before they started screening for HIV, they had all been promiscuous, lots of partners, no condoms. And one by one they died.

You see, at that time HIV infection was a death sentence. Out of the 150-200 guys who came into the group, to try to cope with the emotional crap that goes along with knowing you're going to die and it's not going to be pretty, not a single one recovered.

However, by 1988 the gay community was taking responsibility to protect themselves. They were hitting the gay bars and bathhouses, handing out condoms, handing out literature and educating people on exactly what the risks were. And that information spread to the straight community as well. Condoms became mainstream. Instead of a taboo subject, condoms became dinner table conversation. And the number of cases began to fall. If not for IV drug users sharing needles, it would have almost disappeared in the US by now.

I remember John. Great guy and incredible artist. He was probably about 50. He only had 3 things on his bucket list. He wanted to reconcile with his mother who had not spoken to him since he came out as gay. He wanted to take a champagne balloon flight. He wanted to host a gazebo art show in his backyard for his friends and family. I remember talking to his mother who broke down crying several times. She would stand before one of his paintings and talk about how much she had missed. I remember John describing the view floating over Del Mar with his dearest friend. I remember the funeral was 3 weeks later.

Then there was David, mid 20's, a mousy little guy who had been a student of a Native American who was preserving his tribe's traditional pottery techniques. He was shy and quiet, but would talk once he got comfortable with you. I remember the day my wife said "I don't know how you will take this, but David told me he thinks you're handsome. I told her I was happy when anyone said I was handsome. I remember the day we learned he was gone.

I also remember the day when (I wasn't there that day) they voted and chose me to come and do live modeling for the group. In case you're wondering, I respectfully declined the request.

Yet it was all a hoax. Getting a few bumps on your dick because you're sensitive to latex is 1,000 times worse than the scores of barely breathing skeletons I personally said goodbye to.

Now let's address the "No worse than the flu" bullshit you keep spewing. BTW, I took your "no worse than the flu" bet a long time ago. Remember? 80,000. That was the number of deaths you took the under on. Remember? $1,000. That's what I offered. You seem to be a slow payer. Or more of a guy who spends his life running away from facts in search of a new conspiracy theory.

    No worse than the flu.

The CDC does not track the number of flu deaths. They estimate the number of flu deaths based on the number of flu and pneumonia cases. Cases, not deaths. And they include pneumonia, not just flu, but the estimate is for flu. Every year there are several estimates for the number of deaths, yet never an actual death count, even though they collect the data on the ILI database (Influenza Like Illness).

So to find out how many people really die from the flu, you have to go to every state and find the actual number of deaths. The only number I can recall at the moment is for Indiana, which recorded 131 flu deaths for the most recent season. I don't know what the final CDC estimate is for the same period, but if you break it down per capita, 131 is pretty low for a disease that's just as bad as COVID-19. Fuck. One little town of about 1300 people had 18 COVID-19 deaths. In the 50+ years I've been around that town I don't remember a single flu death. I've asked several people, and nobody else can either.

Just to make certain we're clear: That's 131 times a licensed medical doctor signed a legal document which stated cause of death as influenza. I don't know the current tally, but it's more than 2,650. That's 2,650 times a licensed medical doctor signed a legal document which stated cause of death as COVID-19.

I'm fairly decent with math. For diseases which are basically identical in severity, according to you, these numbers don't seem to be close. Must be a conspiracy, in a deep red state. That's it. When the facts don't match your fantasy, roll out the fucking conspiracies.

Of course those inconvenient numbers only tell part of the story.

We don't close every single school, every single year for the flu season. We don't cancel every large public event. We don't close every mall, every theater, almost every church, all bars, most restaurants, places of employment for millions of people. We don't wear masks and put up plexiglass shields and spray everything with disinfectant. We don't put marks on the ground 6 feet apart and control the number of people allowed in the store, or pay employees to sanitize shopping carts. We don't do any of those things for the flu and we still only had 131 flu deaths; slightly more than the number of murders for Indianapolis.

Yet, even though we did all those things, 2650+ COVID-19 deaths, in half the time. Yet it's "no worse than the flu. "

I understand where you're coming from. I used to drink heavily, so I can relate to your thought process. This is all very inconvenient to you. You can't go everywhere you want to go. You can't do everything you want to do. Your financial situation is possibly threatened. Your reaction is exactly the same as the drunk at the bar who has just been cut off. The problem isn't real. It's just a conspiracy. Deny, bluster, cry, throw a tantrum and then stagger off to find someone who will agree with you.

Eventually you'll either have to go crawl under a rock or come face to face with your bullshit. 10 weeks ago COVID-19 wasn't even as bad as the average flu season. A week later it was just as bad as the average flu season. Then it was no worse than a bad flu season, not as bad as the worst flu season, no worse than the worst flu season and now, nowhere near as bad as the worst pandemic in the history of this country.

You've gone from saying we needed social distancing to saying social distancing did no good, and now back to blaming the surge on relaxing social distancing rules.

And you spew out crap in order to make tenuous connections, anything to support your lunacy. Like the old study on the effectiveness of HCQ on viral infections. Halle-fucking-lujah. We're all saved! Apparently, every single fucking virus can be cured with HCQ. HIV? HCQ. HPV? HCQ. HSV? HCQ. Got genital warts? HCQ. Norovirus, rotavirus, adenovirus, measles, rubella, shingles, smallpox, chikungunya plus all the strains of Hepatitis. HCQ.

All along the only fucking thing we needed was to dose everyone with HCQ, 500 MG daily and we'd all be immortal. Forget the X-Men, the Avengers the Guardians of the Galaxy. We would all be part of the HCQ League. Fighting crime and fucking hookers.

Just one last question. If you're right now with 2 Colombianas in Mexico and both had to leave and you can't even have decent sex with Colombians, is this a Schroedinger scenario? Are the women both there having sex with you and not there having sex with you until someone opens the box?

Yeah, me too, I come here to take a break from the girls. It's not fun to sort through all the political neuroses. There are more than enough places on the Internet for guys to get that out of their systems. It's boring, especially the clumsy ploys to steer any and every conversation to the beliefs that make them comfortable. Please take it someplace else.

By the way, I am actually with two Colombians right now in Mexico, and Covid ruined this trip. Neither of these two was my first choice. My first choice was thrilled to come and then had a panic attack about Covid prior to getting on the airplane from Mexico City. The reason I invited these two is that I hoped one would show up, but they both did. Everything was great the first day. We were having fun and then one gets a phone call and learns her family has been hit by Covid. She feels guilty about having a good time and has to go back to CDMX to meet with a lawyer and find a way to get home to her family RIGHT NOW. She thinks her 50 year old mother is as good as dead. Gee, I wonder why she would think that? She is inconsolable. Her mother is going to die.

So one says she has to leave. Then the other says "Well, I have to leave too then. " I tell them fine but you are getting half of what we agreed on. They are beside themselves, but I hold firm. This is how bad things are: hookers want Covid severance pay.

So I am sorry dude, but this is what the world has come to. I saw the same thing happen with AIDS. A bunch of gays got into government and realized that the only way they could get AIDS funding was to scare the shit out of straight people and man did it work. Even today, some people think that having straight sex without a condom means you are going to get AIDS and die.

The bigger girl in the picture is a boxer. She has zero body fat and is a helluva roll in the hay. The skinnier one was not as good but was decent company. But now thanks to Covid hysteria, I can't have decent sex with a Colombian in Mexico.

As of today, July 8, it is 134,027 deaths in USA (including those who take chloroquine or bleach) and 547,632 in the world.

3 M detected cases in USA over a population of 328 M is less than 1%, so there is still a big improvement margin available for Dem plots and fake news.

This is what was published in 2003. The article was entitled Effects of chloroquine on viral infections: an old drug against today's diseases: https://www.thelancet.com/journals/laninf/article/PIIS1473-3099(03)00806-5/fulltext

Chloroquine / hydroxychloroquie has a well-studied toxicity profile. The half-century-long use of this drug in the therapy of malaria demonstrates the safety of acute administration of chloroquine to human beings. The use of chloroquine / hydroxychloroquine in rheumatic diseases and for antimalarial prophylaxis showed a low incidence of adverse events during chronic administration of this drug for periods of up to a few years. In these cases, the most serious toxic effect is a macular retinopathy, which depends on the cumulative dose rather than on the daily dose, and permanent damage may be prevented with regular visual monitoring during treatment. 27,28, 29 A recent study30 provided encouraging results on the safety of a high dosage of the drug (up to 500 MG of chloroquine base per day) even during pregnancy.

We conclude that chloroquine / hydroxychloroquine administration presents limited and well-preventable toxicity and may thus result in a low risk / benefit balance at least when it is used in life-threatening conditions.

It is funny even though dexamethasone has a pretty bad side effect profile and a similar mechanism of action, no one mentions side effects but with HCQ, you are going to go blind and have a stroke, and it doesn't work. What is your theory on why the side effect profile of the drug changed?

Because here is my theory: a bunch of Democratic pseudointellectual hacks are afraid that it might work.

The shame of it all is the same political bullshit is happening in Colombia. The mayor of Bogota and Colombian president are competing to see who can be a bigger hard ass on Covid.
Dems are very afraid that it will work, because when you have an effective treatment available. More or less they see it as a threat to their immense desire to prolong the situation. To move down the goalposts every couple weeks. Because every time progress is made or good news breaks, it's just amazing timing that mainstream media will talk about surges, ignore what counts a case, faulty data, faulty testing (a very real issue), criticize any treatment that is reported to be working in many parts and is backed up by many doctors. To be blunt, this is sadly a very political issue now and it has been for at least. Since April / May. Now it's just keeping everything closed, using it as justification to allow mail-in voting and we know how that works.

Any good news being reported? It will last a few hours or be largely ignored, and then protests! Or a shooting, or {insert distraction here} you name it! And a lot of people are recognizing this now, still not quite enough. But a lot. And it's incredibly sad that the liberals are showing their true colors and intentions. Covid is real, the pandemic is not. You look at reality and try and reconcile it with the things that are being said on the news, and more and more people are starting to see something isn't right here. And that's because there isn't. I know 4 people that have tested positive, 2 had a slight fever, cough, and feeling tired. So typical flu symptoms. 2 were asymptomatic and shocked when they tested positive, have felt 100% healthy and only had to take the test to be able to return to work.

The strategy these days for the left since March. Put out a death estimate, wait 2-3 weeks. Add xx,000 to the previous number, add 1-2 months and repeat. In March it was 100,000 deaths by May, then 120,000 by June, then 150,000 by August, and now the most recent one yesterday was 208,000 by November. At some point you just have to wonder, do they think we haven't figured it out, or won't be able to? People are tired of the negativity and want to get back to normal, not the "new normal" the old normal that can be improved upon when it comes to health. And Dr. Fauci has been wrong every single time since March, even he looks like he wants to just move forward because he doesn't like to be wrong.

There is a certain portion of the right wing which believes Trump is the world's foremost expert on anything Trump claims to be the world's foremost expert on (except he says " I probably know more about blank than anyone" he does this roughly once every 10 days.

If he said sticking a live tarantula up your ass daily was the best cure for erectile dysfunction, a week later we'd need a "Finding tarantulas in Colombia" thread. There would be arguments over whether it's better to insert the tarantula in the morning, or 30 minutes before sex. Debate would rage over Colombian vs Mexican tarantulas, or even US tarantulas. And someone would link the news story about the guy who substituted black widows.
