Kviar disco is on the way to Puerto Plata from Sosua. It is just past Playa Dorado complex. Same building as casino on the right side. At least half hour drive. If you do not have a car it is going to be a problem. Place gets going only after midnight. There are taxis outside but they will charge you a lot coming back to Sosua. No cheap public transport middle of the night.

Glad to see all the positive reports on Sosua, I was there in May and it wasn't a lot of girls as I hadn't remembered the first time I had went. Anybody in Sosua had any luck or seen Venezolanas? I am just going back to the topic. Never changed it. People said chicks can now fly to other places. I said those chicks did not go anywhere. They on the clubs that are popping on the DR. Kaviar was never packed on a friday or Sunday and now charges you to get in. That never happened before. Music done changed the game in DR. Same with lovera, quorum and La Romania is popping too. DR chicks not sitting home on social media they out. Instead of debating I keep asking when was the last time you went out to kaviar, lovera, quorum. Answer that question.

I posted in Subic bay section hermano. The shyness of the Asian girls takes a lot of work to pull normal girls. The gogo bars and online are the best options here to eliminate all the time consuming bullshit.

It's some fine girls here but they aren't out looking for sex unless it's that kind of venue. The people are extremely nice and the cities are clean and organized. Everyone here says yes sir and no sir. The sex is hit and miss. Had one girl fuck me good and apologized afterwards, go figure.

Every thing changes, we all get older so we have to adjust.

Old Sosua was about dancing bachata meringue salsa in the average bar. A tropical island exotic experience. Now you have football, soccer and hockey (and karioke ugh!) on giant TVs, and a smart phone to keep you instantly touch with every chica in and out of town, no more search and destroy missions necessary. A chica's name lights up on your phone. "Where are you? "Mi aki! OK, una hora?" "Si" is how it goes for me. Like fast food delivery at the touch of a button. Everything is now immediatel online and available.

Some bars have now gone karioke (ugh!) So technology has taken over Sosua too!

My son recently came in for a week, and I didn't have to go to the airport and wait to pick him up or drop him off untli I saw his plane coming in from Toronto. On "Plane Finder" app, I just sat in my bar and tracked his damn plane all the way from Toronto in real time! So you can get there just a the right time and not worry about delayed flights. Mind boggling!!

In the old Sosua I met my first long time GF in the corner bar, my first night in. When she left she asked what I was doing he next day, I said probably the beach.

I've been reading this forum for a few years, absorbed a lot of great info and lessons from people who live and frequent the island.

I've been to many countries, mongering, exploring, eating and beaching it.

I frown on the people saying bad things about DR, and Sosua in general. Just like any country or town I visited, it has its own character, style and taste.

Human nature doesn't like change, but that's part of life, a lot of gentlemen here should have lived long enough to embrace change in this day and age, not many busy towns on this earth are the same as they were 10-20 years ago.

The next day I was having a beer at the little parking lot shack, and she came up all sweaty and exhausted, but with a big smile on her face! Turns out there is more than one beach in Sosua, and she had combed every bar on both beaches for 2 and a half hours looking for me. That's when I knew she must really love me! LOL No WhatsApp in those days!

So yes Sosua changes from year to year, season to season, week to week and even day to day. Beach bars seem to change owners and names every week and the action moves around.

A lot of negative reports come fron guys that don't like the place or never go there, or get their "intel" second hand. Don't read a restaurant revue from some guy who had a bad steak there a couple years ago! LOL.

Just stick to the to the boots on the ground reports from guys who are actually there, and you'll get a better picture of current conditions!

Is it perfect? No, like anywhere, you can get your ass into a lot of trouble if you don't follow a couple of simple common sense rules!
