Probably late for your trip, but maybe useful for someone in the future:

The closest hotel to easiest action IMO is Ambre Hotel in Rond-point Almadies. If you have limited time it's only 50 meters from LE Patio which is the pick-and-go restaurant. There is a doorman 24/7 for your safety if you bring someone in. Even then watch your belongings. The hotel itself is more like a good quality guesthouse than business hotel, but close to everything, safe, and most importantly GF friendly. The only staff after dark is the doorman and they are all nice.

I didn't see any hotels with inside hunting grounds in Dakar. Casino du Cap Vert (hotel) used to have attached nightclub with girls, but it was undergoing a major renovation in December. Don't know about reopening. The nightclub game is anyway a bad idea for business travel because clubs fill up very late (read: early) in Dakar.

About prices (Dec /2017): LE Patio girls can be negotiated down to 15 k-30 k depending on the girl. Of course you need to laugh at the first quotes. In some other areas like Yoff (north Dakar) I got quoted 5 k or "just some transport money".

Sorry guys for taking so long for this report.

I must say that my first time in Senegal was great, of course being able to speak French was very helpful.

Having only 8 days to spare, finally I decide to stick with my girl. Which is 22 years old, not late 20's as I said before.

I wish I could check more places, apart from what I've mentioned before, but the night starts too late.

Even I'm not that old, still going out late in the night is not something that I fancy a lot.

In my opinion, Dakar it's a good place for hunting, especially during the day and least costly.

You need to have patience, and only when nothing comes across, you can go for the 'gazelles' from the discotheques.

Staying close to 'plage du virage' which was my chilling spot. I've seen lots of people from Guinea and Cameroon, so I guess not bad having 3 nations in the same place.

Plage des mamelles, it's a nice spot for chilling and bringing your girl away from the eyes of locals.

Just a last tip, real prices of taxi (I sent always my Senegalese guide to bargain them) are:

500 for a short trip (for example Yoff to same part of Yoff).

1000/1500 for a medium (Yoff ovest to est).

Forget Dakar. For pros. As you found out already. Much better Mbour for example. But only non pros from the streets. A sweet place is Toubab diallaw. I was also hunting nonpros in Mbour and yoff. But in general Senegal no good for pro mongering. Casamance better. Next winter I ll head to Guinea conakry to monger a bit in Labe and live in a fula village to improve on my fula.

Some facts!

1 euro- 650 CFA (apparently the local exchange rate for euro is 655 CFA).

Sim card at the airport, Orange in my case- 1000 CFA.

1 beer at LE Patio (restaurant)- 1500 CFA.

1 beer at Nirvana and J'GO (restaurant & lounge)- 2000 CFA.

1 beer at Five (discotheque)- 3500 CFA.

Taxi ride through Almadies - 1000 CFA (the taxi drivers will ask for 2500-3000, just say 1000 and be prepared to walk away to another one, in less than 5 seconds they will call you back).

Accommodation, a studio flat near 'plage du Virage' in Yoff. Around 19 000 CFA per night.

Arrived in Dakar, Saturday in the afternoon, and passing through customs was easy. I had the owner of the studio coming to pick me up, so I hadn't any problems with the taxi drivers that waits for the clients. Just outside the airport.

As XXL advised (many thanks for that), decided to go for a meal at LE Patio around 22h30 and I can say that the food was great (my choice was lamb for 9000 CFA) which I'll highly recommend it.

At the time I arrived, there was a few girls at the bar sipping their drinks and few customers at the tables enjoying their food. By 00h30, the restaurant was almost full of people but most of them was groups of locals and mongers. It was time to move on, so on my wait out I went through the disco which was quite empty.

I was heading to Nirvana, where at that time were a few groups of females and males. There was 3-4 pretty girls, but being in group with others and most of the time busy with their smartphones, I've made no moves.

On my way to Five, I befriend a local guy with which I spend the time at the disco. At 03h00, girls are coming and by 05h00 the place was full.

I have been reading with great interest all your different posts. I just wanted to share some of my experiences after coming back to my home country Senegal. Sorry if my English is a little broken, I hope you will understand.

First thing you come in contact with is the infamous airport of Dakar. Every year when I comeback I am amazed by how many people can swarm you in matter of second. Searching for a taxi is easy but it can be a little pricey if it's your first time here. They can tell you 10000 but almost everything is negotiable here. So, for half the price usually you can go to your destination.

I would recommend getting a sim card before going out of the airport. There is usually official stand of Orange, Tigo and expresso right before the exit. Do not buy it from the seller outside unless you want some adventures.

After settling down, it was time for some night life. I wanted to try and explore everything that I read in this forum so I headed for the patio. Indeed, there are lot of girls there starting 1 AM. For the most part, they seem really open and can come talk with you. But for the true beauties, you will have to go to them. Depending on if you are a local or on what you are wearing, they will have different attitude. Price varies a lot but no matter what, always negotiate, that's a rule you cannot break. On average I would say 25000 cfa for a session is reasonable. If you want to keep her for the night, you'll have to pay a lot more but it's often not worth it. If you don't want to bring her to your room, you can ask her for some motel. Usually they let you for 2 h at 7000 cfa.

On the internet side, you don't have a lot of choice but things are starting get going. The majority of ads you will see are for massage parlor which offer a variety of service. One of the best I find is the "bod-body" where after the massage she rub her body with yours until you come. I've tried at least five of them and going there can be like tossing a dice. You can find great girl with great body just like you can see some nasty old lady. For the latter, I always find an excuse and leave. Price usually start at 10000 cfa for the simple massage + hand job and can go to 40000 cfa for the full course + the bath where she rubs you.

On escorts side, well. It's complicated. I would say that it's like craigslist, always be skeptical of what you read. But I've found some gems there. One coming from cap vert that is 7. 5/10 with a great body and face. Another one around 7/10 who was offering a lot of services like S&M and such. I have to say that I was not disappointed.

I have yet to try saly but I can't wait to see if the rumors are true.

On a final note I would say that If you can have the number of a local who you can ask some questions or have him translate some stuff it'll help you a lot. French is common but honestly the local language (Wolof) is way too important and spoken to be ignored.

Although it is my home country, I find the quality of girls to be little lacking. Maybe I haven't explored enough but after sometimes, I will update this report with my new founding.

However, I wouldn't say that 50 euro is lowest price in Dakar. Girls from Guinea have modest appetite and they're usually content with 20,000 fCFA for longtime. You can meet them in Patio as well. Even local girls (dakaroise) suggested me to go to Guineans when they heard how much I was ready to pay for night).

Also you can find several streetwalkers from Burkina-Faso at the parking near Casino du Cap Vert. They agreed to stay whole night at my place for only 10,000 fCFA, but I didn't risk to try. And one more spot in Ngor neighborhood is cafe "Katia" (every taxi driver knows) - you'll find the same girls you might've seen couple hours ago at Patio or Duplex. In Saly street girls from Ghana were found out at roundabout (keep the Casino Saly side). They were happy to spend a night for 20,000 fCFA as opposed to Senegalese girls who wanted 25,000 - 30,000 fCFA after hard bargaining).

Dakar

Sim card kiosks at Dakar airport stand next to the luggage carrousel. You can get a sim card with internet flat rate while waiting for your luggage. The three providers are Orange, Tigo, Expresso (the latter a bizarre name for a telecom provider). I chose Tigo and I can vouch for their efficacy. You will be asked for your passport for registration but the number is operational at once.

Airport shuttle to the hotel was 7000 CFA, payable at the hotel (you'll have to email your hotel in advance about this).

In typical African fashion, nightlife starts late, typically at 1 or 2 am except on Friday and Saturday when it can get going as "early" as midnight. Many discos are closed Sunday through Tuesday. Patio in the Almadies district is interesting in this respect because it has a bar and restaurant adjoining the disco. Some girls will be at the bar as early as 9 pm. The food at Patio is among the more edible food I had in Dakar. Food was a problem for me as I dislike onions and garlic. If you land in Dakar outside Friday and Saturday Patio is the place to head for a first night out (evening meal and disco). If you land on Friday or Saturday you should go for an evening meal at Patio, check the Patio disco around midnight, then later in the night have a look at the other discos within a walking distance from Patio (Barramundi, Five, Nirvana). The latter discos will only get going in the small hours on week-days so unless you're a night bird they will not be an option on week-days. My testosterone drops as the day wears on so I had no opportunity of seeing what other discos beside Patio had to offer but I surmise roughly the same girls move from one disco to the next within the Almades district. I don't know whether girls move from the Almadies district as far afield as the Plateau district. It's a rather long taxi drive (12 km) so maybe the two populations of girls keep separate. The only Plateau place I checked during my stay is Cafe de Rome. Four girls were plying their trade on the Cafe de Rome terrace in early afternoon. They seemed hardly to notice me though, engrossed as they were in their smartphones. Was it because I was sweaty and sloppily dressed (T-shirt ect.), not at all looking like a good prospect?

Hotels are girl friendly to the extreme. Three girls showed up without their ID at both hotels I stayed in. One girl had an eye-to-eye chat with the doorman before following me to the room. For the next two girls I was made to fill in and sign a waiver form and that was it. No bribing of anyone was needed on my part.

Some posters have complained English gets you nowhere in Senegal. If it's any consolation, French doesn't get you that far either. Hotel staff and working girls are reasonably fluent in French but normal people like cab drivers aren't. They don't understand much of what you tell them in French and what they try to tell you in that language will baffle any French speaker most of the time. This is typical of African countries where an African language, and not the colonial language, serves as lingua franca (Wolof in Senegal, Malagasy in Madagascar).

Airport Hotel (better known in Dakar as "Hotel du Casino") has an adjoining gaming room where girls are to be found rather early (from 8 pm onwards). They would be sitting in front of the machines, often broke and waiting for you to bet a 10000 CFA banknote before taking them to the hotel. The hotel also kindly arranged for me to enter the Casino during the day to get cash from their ATMs.

As regards getting about, taxis are decommissioned vehicles literally falling to pieces, no aircon, no meter. A ride within Almadies will cost you 2000 CFA at the most. A ride from Almadies to Plateau will take you back 5000 CFA during the day. On the whole getting about in taxis was somewhat cheaper than in other West African venues. This may be due to the sheer numbers of prowling taxis. Rides during the day can be excruciating owing to the scorching heat, the lack of aircon and the dismal state of repair and filthiness of the cars. On my 2nd day through Dakar the door of the taxi caught fire owing to a short circuit in the DIY window wiring.

Good points compared to other places in Africa: crime is astonishingly low, walking at night is no problem. Cops are not fishing for bribes. Passing through customs is hassle free. The locals are easy-going and good-tempered.

Disco girls are attractive but not quite as attractive as in the Cameroons (one point less on the 0 to 10 scale on average). More importantly, they will only do short time for 50 euros. Even if you pay more and negotiate long time they will contrive to go home early so going for TLN is not a good idea. Note that if you pick up a girl at 4 am TLN becomes irrelevant. Besides, isn't 50 euros becoming the minimal rate for P4 P worldwide? Sad but true.

I saw a rather stunning blonde with a local gigolo on my first night at Patio. Female sex-tourism is no figment of the imagination.

There's no mistaking the working girls in Dakar. They're as sluttily dressed as can be. Somewhat surprising considering this is a 95% Muslim country. Even during the day you would see women with scarves alongside women in sexy daytime European attire. Women are never fully veiled and even the Muslim dress style does no hide their figures, quite the reverse. In fact some of the sexier women in the streets were women with in Muslim garb somehow contriving to appear very, very sexy. Also, the ones with scarves seemed the ones the least unresponsive to my gaze. I tried to have a taxi driver play the girls spotting game in the street but he didn't quite get what I had in mind. Or he had got my drift but didn't want to play ball. My impression was that accosting girls in the street was not an option in Dakar.

A google search for "afribaba dakar massage" will throw up a string of alluring ads for sexual services. The heavily photoshopped pictures are lifted from the web. The ridiculous hip enhancements are probably meant to make tracing the fake pics more difficult. Note that such faking is probably legit here given the taboo and legal issues of sex advertising. I called one of the numbers. A girl answered telling me to take a cab to Ngor roundabout ("Rond-Point Ngor", in front of "Brioche Doree") where I was to call her again. Once there I needed the extra loud button on my Galaxy to hear anything through the traffic noise while she piloted me through side-streets down to a 5-floor building from which she suddenly appeared waving from the 2nd floor balcony. A "four-hands massage" had been advertised for 20000 CFA but my balcony girl was on her own. The room was dark and squalid, with a massage bank and a sofa, no bed. The upselling started at once and continued throughout the massage. To make things worse, a power outage occurred in mid-massage. For a second I feared the outage had been engineered to steal my belongings. The girl used her smartphone to shed some light and mechanically continued the tugging on my cock with her free hand (4-hand massage indeed!). One of the worst rub-and-tug I've ever had.

Saly

Cost of the 70 km drive to Saly: 30 000 CFA. I was told there used to be swarms of girls in the streets in Saly but it all came to an end due to a Femdom / NGO orchestrated crack-down. I spotted a handful of girls in the street around midnight. I made no move, assuming many more would emerge later. That was a mistake: the streets and the discos went dead soon after. If you spend time in Saly, better bring along a girl from Dakar. The four discos are within easy walking distance of one another.
