I don't give a damn how much the police make. Since when should people go around giving out money to people just because they make or have more? Look what that did to MC Hammer. If the police want to start something with you and you know you have not done anything wrong just tell them that you would like for the embassy to handle it. In DHass's case though he did something wrong so it was best to pay in order to save the time it would have cost to take care of an actual ticket. The "Policia" were on my tail for my recent 2 day trip to Boca Chica. One night, I was pulled over 5 times for no apparent reason. That was probably my 1st mistake, spending too much time cruising around Boca Chica in a rental car. White American screams, hit'I'm up for a bribe. One time, there were 4 policemen guiding me to the side with a flashlight, occupying 2/2 on motorbikes pulling me over to talk. Didn't have my drivers liscense, big mistake, passport wasn't good enough; they proceeded to threaten to take me down to the station. Took 1,200 pesos to get me out of the trip to the station. They call the bribe,"a gift" and are quite pleasant to chum up with you after they get paid. Evidently, there is some system with the policia & chicas, because after multiple times getting pulled over for mindless questioning, the one time I had a chica in the car, they wanted to pull me over, but saw the chica, and went on their merry way. It's really too bad. The women are drop dead georgeous, and I had a wonderful expierience with a few of them. The whole Boca Chica expierience grades out as a D+, just barely passing, due to the corruption. You can go to smaller nearby towns and get a great experience without the hassle.

New guys take note this stuff seems really serious while it is happening on your vacation in a foreign country. Best thing is to have your shit together while driving around that little area. I drove around the entire country with little to no contact with cops but as soon as I got to the 1st shell station in Boca Chica the problems with the po po started.

No big problems for me I just had to pay my gringo tax to the po po. I have never been 1 that minded giving the police a tip to be cool in the area I am visiting but the way Boca Chica goes about it is fucked up. They only let you know they are your friend after they try scaring the shit out of you and you have gave them money then all of a sudden its all smiles and amigos. Like I say I don't care because they have never took all or even half of my money but I wish they would just ask up front for me to help them out. Hell I would give them more that way.

I have always just picked chicas up from the street but this time decided to try the club at the start of the main street that is closed off at night and I am glad I did I never knew all those woman were packed in there up the stairs at the bar. Guys if you have been missing this place you got to check it out. It goes I know from 11pm to wee hours of the morning. They are every shape and size there. If you guys rent a car don't be out driving after they open the streets back after being closed for the night they have a gang of 8 police that are together on motorcycles that might just fuck you up and if you don't know Spanish they might just double fuck you.

I'd like to say thanks for the positive comments I have received on my Dominican Republic reports I am glad that I can be of assistance to others. In March of 2013 I spent 5 days in Boca Chica but did not do a synopsis report. In February of this year I went to Santo Domingo and did a day trip to Boca Chica while I was there. I was going through my notes and it occurred to me I had not reported on Boca Chica. Although it is late I will submit my notes on Boca Chica in the hopes that they may be of assistance to fellow mongers.

Boca Chica.

Boca Chica is a beach town that is less than 30 minutes east Santo Domingo. Many people from Santo Domingo enjoy the beach on the weekends and it is also a popular tourist destination from Europeans on holiday. During the day the primary activity takes place on the beach and at night it converts into a party town where there is plenty of PFP available.

Hotel Hamilton.

The Hotel Hamilton is a decent hotel that is a 5 minute walk from the beach. It has a casino next connected to the hotel where locals can be seen playing slot machines. The hotel is across the street from the casa de cita " Playboy House." The hotel was nice and the staff was polite but the rooms and entire facility was quite dated. There was an Italian restaurant connected to the hotel and the food was decent. The wireless internet was a problem above the lobby area so it was difficult to use the internet in my room. The street noise was very annoying but after all I was in Boca Chica.

Transportation.

Walking was easy to most spots. Motoconchos were between 50-100 pesos depending on time of day. I ran into Dario who works at the hotel and he took me on day trips to Juan Dolio, Santo Domingo, the Boca Chica barrios and my final airport transfer for $150. 00 total for the week. He was available for me in between his other clients. I have his information for anyone who is interested.

Restaurants.

There were a variety according to taste but I enjoyed the Boathouse on the beach because the waitresses were friendly and the breeze from the beach was absolutely incredible. The restaurant was less than 10 feet from the beach so it also provided a good view. The menu was basic American cuisine.

Casa de Citas.

The casa de citas were closed due to local politics but it was reported they have re-opened I visited the below listed casas on the first trip but I did not visit them on my most recent day trip.

Casas Fraisa.

Casa Fraisa offered in my opinion some of the best talent in Boca Chica with many 7's & 8's. They wanted $2000-2500DOP for ST and $4000-5000DOP for TLN. Casa Fraisa's line up after dark was more than acceptable during the day not so much.

Playboy House.

The Playboy House was dead during the day but chicas could be seen hanging outside after dark mostly 7's. They wanted $2000-2500DOP for ST and $4000-5000DOP for TLN.

Senor Tranquillo's.

Senor Tranquillos is a bar that has 2 faces there is the side that faces the beach which is active during the day and the side that faces Calle Duarte that is active at night. At last report the hostesses were available for a 500DOP salida to the house and individual negotiation with the chicas. The inside bar opens at 6pm and stays open until 3am. You can order food from a nearby restaurant and I had Lampuga why papas saltiado for 350DOP.

Other freelance venues.

• El Batey Club- Is a bar and dance spot that reminds me ofD Latins in Sosua. This is one of the primary freelance venues in Boca Chica.

• The Piano Bar- Is a bar with outside tables on the street as well as 2 inside bars where freelancers are avialble.

• The Boathouse- Is a restaurant with a beach view where an occasional freelancer sits at the bar or tables.

• Luxury Disco- After One is the late night spot for Sosua and the Luxury Disco is comparable for Boca Chica. There was local talent there during my visit but there were more tourist.

Chicas.

The Dominicanas in Boca Chica in my opinion were far more hardcore than the Dominicanas in Sosua. In addition the Sosua chicas were far more attractive as a whole that the Boca Chica chicas. You can easily keep your prices between 1000-2000DOP for ST and 1500-3000DOP for TLN. Some will ask for more but be prepared to negotiate or walk away.

All the Hatianas I ran into were asking for $3000 Road they were not humble like some of the Sosua Hatianas. I assume those prices are coming from their being accustomed to European clientele. If you deal with them be prepared to negotiate.

Roadmap to success

The beach during the day, Duarte strip in the afternoon, the Piano Bar at night, El Batey Club and finally the Luxury Club for late nights. If you follow that path you should have some success.

Conclusion.

Activity in Boca Chica is cyclical depending on the time of year. They recently had a crackdown on the casa de citas due to political pressure but I believe the casas have been re-opened but I cannot be certain.

In my opinion Boca Chica is Sosua light, by that I mean it has the same feel of a beach town however there is less variety and selection.

I felt Boca Chica was more grittier than Sosua as the beach and the town was not as clean and tranquil as Sosua. If I had a choice I would choose Sosua over Boca Chica however, a day trip where you spend the night should be on the bucket list of all mongers who love the Dominican Republic.

Went to the airport to pick up my man E. He had three fellas with him that have never been to the DR before. They worked in a mental hospital in New Jersey. The guys seemed cool between the ages of 32 and 42. E and I decided to get a van for the group. I told him I would not be a part of the van group until Friday when we head for Sosua. I took E to get the van however, I kept my rental. We left T with the guys at the airport. T said he was going to chill with the new guys & E. It was better for him because he was on a budget. I didn't see them again to later on that Night. When I saw them again 2 of them had chicas with them. E had drop the guys off in a hood motel with T. The rooms were about $25 for 2 bedroom. T and three of the new guys got rooms there. E is my boy and thinks quick when a bad situation occur, however, I must admit he was a terrible host. His people knew nothing about the exchange rate, the DR, or how much a female should charge them. They all still had American money on them. I looked at T because the guys looked confused and he should have been coaching the fellas. I asked the 2 how much did they pay for the girls that were with them. By the way I wouldn't have gotten with any of those chicas for free. When I explain to them the currency and the amount they should pay; they were in disbelief. I again asked how much did you give the chicas that you are with. The 2 of them didn't want to tell me the price out of embarrassment. One guy said he went to sleep with the girl in his room. She could have robbed him blind. One of them had not picked a chica yet just his room with T. He felt that he did not have enough money for a lot of activity. I later found out why. He thought that 2000 pesos was equivalent to $200. I said if you all have dealt with these two females and why'all are done with them, why are you treating them to dinner. One of the guy said that they said the chicas are treating. That's cool cause they are eating at more expensive Italian restaurant. E had drop them off at the hotel with T and dipped. It was about 10 o'clock in the evening. For the first time the new guys were seeing the better selection of females. However typically they did not know how to get rid of the girls they had. BC chicas are willing stay with you as long you let them. And guess what, the girls were not treating them. I don't know how my man came to the conclusion that the girls were buying them dinner when no one spoke Spanish. Apparently they made these girls outside of the hotel. E has a nice 6 bedroom house 10 minutes away however the plumbing wasn't working correctly. T and the guys were on a budget so they got the cheap rooms.

I asked them did they want my help. They all agreed so after their meal, I told them to tell their chicas politely goodbye. These chicas new the drill and left with no problems. After I chastised T; who claimed he and the other guy was in the room and did not know what was going on. T and I gave them an hour long mongering 099 class.
