I think an additional problem is crazy airline pricing (at least on American).

A roundtrip from JFK to GIG from March 27 - April 18 is $1757 on AA Flight 973.

A roundtrip from DCA to JFK to GIG (via Flight 973) on the same dates is $1096. Three weeks ago when I bought my ticket the price was $844.

In other words, the same flight from JFK to GIG is $700 cheaper if you add another flight! Crazy!

That is because one is direct and one makes stops. You can always get a cheaper flight if your willing to make stops.

The problem does not come from USA. It may have something to do with the dates. My ex girlfriend is from Rio but has lived in Canada the last few years. She says:

Lots of affiliation and alliance type deals between many airlines have helped manipulate fares in many areas. It sucks. Just got to deal with it.

I went to Espaço Mente Corpo today. At 10 AM 8 girls were present. There are 20 girls working so some of the girls will end up paying the R$300 fine for not showing up. I was hoping to find a black bubblebutt-lady I saw at my last visit, but she doesn't work there anymore.

Its true! Even from London they are killing us. First half of March is like 1500 $-end is much less. Business is like 8000 $looool -end of March its like 1200 $ each way. Wtf. BA. Bullshit airlines.

Hell yeah DR is dirt cheap in comparison to BR and to CR.

From Amsterdam to Rio I bought my ticket 480 dollars via Delta airlines, I have just bought another ticket via delta airlines for 450 dollars.

P.S. I am not from Holland but I often use their airport to go from a destination to another and buy a return ticket to Amsterdam so that I can book my other destination when I am there. You can find cheap tickets in Holland and even in Germany but it is more interesting in Holland.

I Think it has to do with the ticket prices. Tickets to Brazil are very expensive. Also the dollar is very weak now.

When I was looking to fly to rio at the end of November, I couldn't find anything less than 1400 dollars! Most prices were between $1500-1800 from NY. I couldn't understand why ticket prices were so high considering how cheap gas and oil prices were. It made no sense that I couldn't find a flight for under 1 K. I am actually thinking of getting a part time job with the airlines so I can afford to fly to my favorite mongering cities.

It's a bit odd how the Rio thread is so dead one week before Carnival. Well, less gringos means less competition in the bunda-hunt.

For the desperate Help-lovers. On ho-beach in front of Othon Palace there are some cute girls handing out "Convite VIP", valid for entry until 11 PM with 1 drink free. They gave me and my friends a whole bunch of convites. After some chatting with the girls they admitted that the club is very small and only have very few visitors. I heard from my friends who all have experienced the old Help and visited the new Help that this new club is just a big joke. Extremely small and just a handful of ugly girls and lots of g*ys. I've no intention to go there, but for the Help-lovers sake lets hope it gets better.

I went to a bunch of privées in Centro today. Now, before Carnival it's a good time to monger in privées. Great selections and the girls are hungry for money so they can travel during the Carnival. Until next Thursday it will be good to visit privées. During Carnival most of the privées will be closed. Right after Carnival it won't be very good to visit privées as many girls who travelled will take some days off to rest.

Today I ended up with my favvo-girl from Vivalocal. She's my number 1 GP at the moment. She made me a happy man today when she allowed photos. R$100/1 hour, 2 pops.

Some time ago the issue about GPs in Búzios was discussed. I've just spent some days in Búzios. Wow, there are a lot of gorgeous women. Just to add to my earlier post regarding women in Búzios: in three nights I only noticed five women that were obviously GPs. I was together with a GF so I was not on the outlook for GP, so there can have been more GPs.

After reading about the opening of a new Help, I had some time to check it Saturday night which should have been a prime night for clubbing. Arrived about midnight. There were 2 pretty decent looking blondes in hot dresses checking in ahead of me so it looked promising. Entrance fee was are $50 which included 1 national drink, or 2 beers.

When I got inside, there were only 2 other guys in the pretty small space, and 6 women including the 2 that arrived just before me. 1 of the others looked fairly good, and the other 3 may have been appealing to somebody else. I stayed for about 45 minutes and there were no more customers or girls who showed up in that time. I wasn't interested in doing a program with any of the women there so I left after finishing my drinks.

Help is very dead now, they changed now, they only give two beers? Many people don't dare to come because there are also transexuals and gays too, they also let transexuals enter.

Maybe if they change their policy the club will be better.
