Posts: 500went on an exploratory trip around the centro today. if you go below the maracaibo bars, there are many places. i was likely the only foreigner in any of them but i did not feel threatened in any way. they are a bit lower rent places but there were a few gems here and there. prices were also cheaper. most places were 40k full service, you could probably nickel-dime from there. there were mil peso lap dances at the strip joints. conejitas by the museo de antioquia had the most girls and i guess objectively the best selection. that was 50k. i did not session there, just had a drink and watched a decent show. there are a multitude of others, i went back in one (40k, extras included) and damn near fell to my death (ok not really, but it was a good 8-10 foot drop onto my feet) when a stair broke. i had to hop up onto the top step and, as you'd figure, getting down was not easy. i guess i need to take it easy on the arepas!
anyway, there were various strip joints there but nothing i'd recommend highly. there are also a number of places such as the scarlaty bar where there are a lot of girls dancing with the customers, trying to get drinks, etc. some of them are pros. some of them are also ****. be aware of this.
lastly, in this area there are a good number of streetwalkers. i have been advised that the day time on weekends is the best action for that. tons of short-time motels, very tijuana-ish scene in some regards.
anyway, all this is a stone's throw from the main centro clubs and the museo. obviously this is not the posh part of town, but it's not as caliente as one might think or colombians will tell you. i did go with someone who is a local and fairly well known in the area, but i don't think it made a huge difference. you've got three options, cheap-o strip joints, mayorista style bars with a mix of pros and non pros and the street scene. if you enjoyed the mayo (i did not) , this might be a good option for you.

What a great world this is. I am a resident of Bangkok, and for the first time here. I have been stuck to writing a film script since arrived (don't worry guys, not about you, totally different subject) and not out to have much fun. Been reading the latest post and there seems to be a sentiment of disappointment going around? Please tell me Medellin is not so bad? Bangkok changes, Cambodia does, it all does Will anyone enlighten me, and perhaps join me for a drink tomorrow sat?

Posts: 500I went on a date in Bello tonight and I guess there is some valuable information vis-a-vis nightlife there even though otherwise you only care about the fucking.
Some places, went to a spot called Versailles. It's on a strip Cra 51 with a variety of other bars including one called Tijuana and some bullshit. They are all essentially the same, plain bars with loud ass music and after midnight the local thugs start showing up places. The drinks were reasonable, there was some dancing but not much and overall it was the usual reggaeton-induced headache. Went to a place called Police. Pretty cool, loungey with a couple cute girls dancing. Nice vibe in the place with good music, nice mix of reggae and 90s hip hop. Not terrible. Very smoke friendly also. It's definitely for the younger guys. Lastly we checked out a place called Palm Beach Bar. This was a proper rumba. It was after 3 and I was on my way home, the place was still packed and sweaty.
Bello is a cool ass place, my only thing there is that it's such a small world. You can holler at a girl and suddenly her boyfriend, cousin and uncle are all on your balls at once. I had a good time with this one, she is playing some old guy for his cash and living pretty decently as a result. I am telling you, when you fuck these girls with husbands, live-in boyfriends, etc, it gives me pause about relationships and marriage. There you are, beating the pussy up for a low low price, and there he is telling her he loves her on the phone while you're puling your cock out.

Geishas is next to the "prado" metro station. Search "Geishas Medellin" on youtube, there is a good video showing how to get there from the station.
I never liked the selection, or lack there of, when I visited. Usually I see one or two and they seem high mileage and not to my gusto. The female operator gives the vibe she hates being there and shows her discontent (very unlike paisa culture which tends to keep negative expressions internal unless to offend and disrespect) when I pass on her ugly option. WTF, you want business, put in goodlooking girls. Hopefully it gets a new owner or better selection.
Maybe other mongers can share better recent experience!
BV. Watch your 360 in that area especially if you decide to venture on foot towards the south to the fat statues park near Nutibara.

Hello Guys!
Off-topic!
AUS OPEN finals. The semis and finals games are at 03. 30am COL time. I`m tennis-lover as well as as Paisa-lover.
Anyone knows about a Sportsbar or place that is open 24/7? Like Locos Por El Futbol en Bs As?
Went to Lindas Chicas Thuesday. I could not find the nearby Geishas (closed according to a guy at the actual / wrong adress)
There was only 1 girl at 4. 30pm, but she was awesome!
180 mil COP, porno-BBBJ incl.
Little Sara said all customers are extranjeros, paisas don`t go, no understand why. High price, but also top-girls, you will leave happy!

My SD friend charges 200K plus cab fare however I found that to be negotiable. I have not been to Luna Lunera but noticed several of their girls hanging around La Manzana so I bet they are that price or less. Centro girls will charge 200K TLN in many cases. 300K if they get A LOT of dates. There are only maybe three or four girls there that get regular enough dates to command any more than 200K.

From there we went to La Isla. It had only been open for a couple of days and there was no entry fee or drink minimum bullshit. The talent on stage and sitting around was excellent. But the 180k for 30 minutes was retarded and we did not partake. My friend got a phone number from a chica there, and the next day when he called her (Sunday) she told him it would be 300k to come visit him.

It was also fairly laid back, you could relax in there and just order drinks normally.
Unfortunately my two recent experiences were different.
The first time I went, it was with two friends. They ordered a half bottle of rum and, as I do not drink, I ordered a soft drink. There was no fuss about drink minimums.
The second time, I came alone for another round with my little friend. This time, when I sat down the guy sweated me ENDLESSLY about ordering 50K worth of drinks. He hounded me endlessly to order a bottle of rum. I told him fuck off, I do not drink. He said the minimum was 50K and I would have to order 50K of drinks. I said, OK, fine, but I don't want six drinks at once so just bring me this. He said I had to pay him 50K. I went to walk out at this point but my lady friend came over to tell them to relax. Ultimately I said bring her a couple of drinks and me a juice. They had to ASK THE MANAGER if her drinks could apply toward my minimum. I strongly considered leaving and calling her later. They said it was fine, I said great, bring me the fucking drinks and fuck off.
As far as the service, all the girls quote 130K and yes you have to pay at the register upon entry. That includes the room. 130 total. In the past, you could always negotiate down 20K or so, I do not know if that is stil the case. I paid her the full 130 and did not quibble because we had discussed the session beforehand. She included enough extras others would charge for that I was not going to try and haggle.
So, in short, the prices are 130K if not *slightly* less, the drink minimum has gone from minor nuisance to severe migraine, the selection is above average and, in my case, the service was fucking superb.
EDIT: I see you inquired about the time. Well, it is supposedly 30 minutes and if you want an hour I think it's either double the price or 100K more (which is only 30K short of double). I missed the number there as I didn't care to get an hour. I tipped the woman who assigns and cleans the rooms. This is always a good idea. The first night we were back there for WELL over an hour. She came and knocked at the end but we were already dressing. The next night we were both a little more subdued, I tipped the woman but it wasn't an issue as we only stayed for about 25 minutes.
Overall, the place has gotten to be a bit of a hustle, trying to position itself as a Fase II type place even though it more closely resembles a Centro strip joint.

I just got back from a week in Mayo. There were quite a number of new chicas but only Friday and Saturday nights saw more actions, more crowded with people on the strip. Other days were really boring nothing more than to see a lot of 'regular' girls. Ever since they forbid bars to have tables and chairs on the sidewalk, citing the sidewalk was acceso publico, the strip seemed to have less chicas and patrons. Bar La Amistad were shut down because it sold diluted, altered hard liquors (licores alduterados) like Guaro, Ron, Brandi, and the likes, by the Municipality of Itagui. Some said they closed it for 10 days while other said almost one month and the bar had to pay a fine around 4 or 5 millions COP. I used to drink guaro there in the past but did not feel it anything different from the original guaro. Maybe this was something new that just happened before my arrival. Colectivo now charged 8K COP from MDE airport to El Centro. Mayo hotels raised their prices by 10% sometimes before last Christmas. That was about it from me in La Mayorista.
Cheers.
