I casually mentioned something to the host about whether that was a camera for safety purposes. He said, yeah, but they never look at the tape unless someone has stolen something. Needless to say, I am not trusting that. Has anyone heard or seen this before? Given the transparency required to rent an airbnb, credit cards, etc. This seems like a great chance for some extortion or otherwise.

Anyone heard of other Airbnb's doing the same. Damn cameras are so fucking small a perve could fill his house with them and you might never notice.
Have been looking at a number of Airbnb apartments for an upcoming trip to Jakarta. Noticed (by accident) that some of the apartments listed had security cameras mentioned in the "things to know section" of the listing. Had never seen that before so was a bit shocked. If you read the airbnb fine print, they are only allowed to be in the public areas of the apartment. Not allowed to be anywhere were people sleep etc. My thought was that if the lounge area doesn't have a sofa bed then theoretically they could have a camera there. Now I have a very horny non P4 P friend who likes to be shagged everywhere and anywhere: lounge, balcony, you name it she wants it, so any apartment that mentions security camera is on the blacklist.

The reservation was made by using the Marriott app. Price was substantially less than other properties I would have considered. Have been staying at Marriott properties (Four Points by Sheraton is within the Marriott "Bonvoy" group), so as to maintain my status.

Check in was friendly and efficient. I was provided the WiFi password which was good for my entire stay. Very reliable WiFi, and reasonable speed, with no issues. Very convenient location in Central Jakarta, and right on the TransJakarta bus line, and across the street is a KFC, Burger King, and Starbucks. Never went into these international name restaurants. Actually I had a very nice coffee for 15000 rupiah across the street in the 5 level mall. It is definitely not one of the fancy mega malls, but more for locals, for example you could buy any Muslim attire on the top level. On the bottom level is a great food court and also a very nice supermarket. Very good prices! At the hotel they prepare an excellent food buffet for breakfast starting at 6 am. Also had dinner in their restaurant, and chose the special which was spicy chicken and rice dish, with ice tea for 100,000 rupiah. I am now a big fan of Indonesian food.

This hotel has in room massage. I ordered the 90 minute oil massage for 365,000 rupiah. You call the front desk and they arrange the masseuse. The info card in the room does not mention anything about a hotel spa. It specifically states in room massage - 10 am to 12 pm, last order at 11 pm. Wondered about the Couples Massage "for 2 persons in the same room", which is 690,000 rupiah for 90 minutes. How does that work? 2 masseuse and the couple all on the queen size bed? Anyways, on my day of arrival (ANA flight from Tokyo that arrives at 4:30 am) I had a young, and quite attractive girl from Java. What a great body! Not a hard body, or a petite "spinner", but just really shapely and healthy. Got her Whatsapp number. On the second day (Javanese girl had her day off), I had a different massage, and had her do only a massage..
Does the inroom massage include extras.

    Thanks.

    Fave hotel Jakarta

    First post here.

I was in Jakarta in June 2018, I really enjoyed my 24 days in Java. I preferred to go to the non tourist areas, and quite often spent my time walking streets of North Jakarta, (Glodok), Bandung, Jogja and Surabaya alone and often at night, always felt safe. Would go to shopping malls with 2000 people, one white person (me) and never any hassle. First night in Indo was at Fave Hotel Glodok, stayed there, very nice room, price reasonable, 330,000 IDR, suits my budget. Downstairs in sun city though I did not know it was there at that time. They have in room massage, ordered a massage, girl very pretty, massage OK, for extra she wanted 1 million or something like that (full service), not knowing the prices I thought it was too much. After a couple days in Glodok I went to the Fave hotel Gaga Madah, which was a bit more south and a bit west and closer to the center of town. Again very nice room and only 350,000 IDR.

Note that you can pay less if you join the Fave hotel program (You get discounts, I can't recall if you have to spend a few nights, but it did seem pretty good deal), from memory a saving or ten to fifteen percent at least.

In room massage at Fave Hotel Gaga Medah, was OK but no extras there (massage is just massage and overpriced). I can also recommend Fave Hotel in Yogjakarta. I think Fave is a lot better than POP hotel, I stayed in POP once and although clean and OK, I thought it nowhere near as nice as Fave. In general I found Fave hotels to be very good and also good value. There may be some hotels that are a bit better, maybe better value for money, and of course five star hotels that cost a lot more are no doubt better, just saying for around the 300 K to 350 K for the night (even less if you join there membership program) found Fave to be very nice places to stay for good value.

Yo give you an idea how naive I was in Jakarta on my first day, I got the plane into the airport, then the train to some railway station, but because it was Ramadan everything was closed. I did not know how to buy a ticket because I did not know how to speak Bahasa, did not know that Grab existed, and did not know those little trucks that go up and down the street were simple hop on hop off taxis that you pay 2000 rupiah for (20 cents Australian), so I walked 3 hours to get to the hotel in the heat.

Did not know about twitter, did not have phone set up for Tinder (afterwards I found I had 99 plus likes, and went out with a few girls), so to get a girl for first night used Locanto, girl was very pretty but expensive. After that I wiseded up and did not use Locanto any more. The best one was Milly, I met her outside Kings Cross place in Kelapa Gadang. Place was closed due to Ramadan, she was just hanging out there. Had a very nice night for 700 K, went once, very nice, she then fell asleep and started snoring. I did not sleep fully because was concerned about my wallet etc. In the morning went again and enjoyed.

Got a massage to my room in Surabaya, was 300 K at 2 am in the morning. I got the details from tinder or twitter, can't recall. Used wattsap to contact. Girl was ok looking but very nice. I thought 300 K was just for massage but was also for extra (full service), I think I paid a tip as well, maybe 440 K all up.

Some street girls in Yogjakarta, you only see them as they are near the train station when you get off. But even at 300 K for short time, hmm, girl was not pretty and room was dingy, dirty with no shower, yeah no thanks. All in all think twitter / tinder quite OK way to go, maybe tinder better as girls on twitter seem to have an organiser and start off at 1 j for short time, will quickly come down after a little negotiation. I know this is about hotels, just saying would recommend Fave as a pretty OK hotel brand, you may well be able to get a bit better value for money elsewhere, but generally pretty good. I found breakfast very good in all Fave hotels (the prices I quoted did not include breakfast), I think it was 70.000 IDR or less, but very good. All staff spoke English.

    Airbnb North Jakarta

Looking on airbnb for some nice 2 bedrooms apartment full furnished in condo with swimming pool and gym, many offers and cheap prices.

This will be our first trip in Indonesia and try to study and figure out google maps and locate all the brothels we would like to visit.

Many airbnb apartment are located in the area you can see in the map, is this a good area to stay? Grocery store, shopping malls and restaurant near?

Checking google maps it's seems this area is just around 5-6 km to Classic hotel, 7-8 km to King Cross and Kelapa Gading, 6-7 km to brothels in JL Pangeran Jayakarta, 10 km to train tracks near Tugu Pekojan, etc.

So it's seems not far from many places.

Info and advice? We prefer airbnb over hotels, also we don't have interest in nightlife disco or clubs and prefer brothels for multiple STs.

    Thanks in advance.

    Alila SCBD Jararta

I booked Alila SCBD. Anybody aware of some action in this place? I booked it, because I like the design of the Alila brand, but it would be nice if there is something going on there or near by. Thanks in advance!

    Shangri La Hotel

I stayed at Shangri La for a week in early September. It is getting old but in reasonable condition. Good breakfast and of course BATS on the premises help. It was $125 per night on Hotels.com.

    Crowne Plaza

I stayed at the CO the other night as a mattress run for the current IHG Accelerate campaign.

It is a nice hotel, but there is a big sign by the lifts about no unregistered guests being allowed, plus the lift lobhynis a long walk past the front desk staff.

Didn't try to bring a girl in, but feel she would probably be challenged if I did.

I can tell you that the Four Points Sheraton in friendly, I have stayed there several times and have had no issues. Except for the glaring eyes when I walk in.

    Sparks Luxe Jakarta

I've been staying at Alila Jakarta since it opened in 2004, providing a strategic position to many a mongering hot spots. So it.

Caught my attention when the property was recently acquired and rebranded as Sparks Luxe Jakarta.

Does anyone know if the Sparks group is offering some of their more infamous lifestyle options to this property?

I'm due to visit Jakarta again soon and would be keen to revisit the property if such discerning services are being.

    Offered to guests.

25 years ago, Jaya Pub was very much a pick-up spot. Not anymore. These days, the chances of getting lucky in Jaya Pub are slim. I like that place as a place to take a girl I already know and listen to some live music.

Interesting comment. I have not seen a previous mention of the MO being a hobby hotspot. What is special about Tuesdays? According to google, MO used to have a ladies night on both a Tuesday and Thursday. However according to jakarta100 bars the ladies nights ended by 2015.

    FlyingSparkz,

My review of 4 Pts is back just 1 page.

Did not bring anyone back to hotel, so not especially helpful as the only woman I had in my room were from the massage service. It checked the box for me in more than one category.
