Went to Tijuana Wednesday night. Was hoping to catch a couple of my favorite chicks at Hong Kong, unfortunately they were nowhere to be found. Went to adelitas to check out the scene. Interestingly enough there were a few girls to my liking. I like women of all shapes and sizes. One day I can be with a petite 20 year old chica, the next a very thick girl with killer curves. I reminded her that the agreement was 70 with $10 added for a good service and since I have not experienced any service I was not going to give her the full 80 until after we finishED. By this time she had gotten completely naked and I had removed my pants and she was giving me a lot of attitude about the money. Then my big head started thinking more than my little head and I told her since she was giving me an attitude I didn't want to go through with it and asked for my money back. This got her mad and she started practically yelling at me saying that she was not going to give me my money back because we she was already naked and we were in the process of having sex. I countered her argument by saying that we had not done anything yet and that I wanted my money back. At this point she approached me and dropped to her knees and told me to take my the-Ck out, I told her no. She then got up and tried to throw me on the bed (and said we were going to f-Ck and that I would like it. I again told her no and to get away from me. She got even more mad and told me I could leave but she was keeping my money. So at this point I open the door and asked for assistance from the guy standing in the hall. They asked me what was the problem and I told them that the girl was not adhering to our agreement that we had made downstairs and that I wanted my money back reminding them that we have not had sex yet. They told me to wait a moment and they would get the person in charge so we waited for somebody to come over. The girl was growing increasingly more upset and she kept saying my money was not going to be returned. So after a couple minutes the guy in charge shows up and wanted to hear us out and the girl was not letting me talk because she kept talking over me so the guy asked me to remain silent so she could just finish what she had to say. She then completely lied and said that we had agreed to 80 downstairs and that I only wanted to give her 70 once we were in the room. I then started explaining to the guy that The last thing I want to do is cause problems for them and all I want is for her to comply with the agreement we had made downstairs and that since she was upset and had completely killed the mood, I was no longer interested in having sex with her. I again explained the agreement was 70 with a $10 tip for good service. Thankfully the guy understood where I was coming from and basically hinted towards me getting my money back. The girl then starts be-tching about at least getting a tip since she was naked and she could have potentially lost a client downstairs because she came upstairs with me. Then the guy asked how much of a tip she wanted and she said $20. The guy made a face like he wanted to laugh and said cmon be reasonable. $20 is too much. So then he asked how much I was willing to give her. I told him he change I had in my pocket which was about $7. The girl scoffed at that so at this point the guy asked to have some privacy with the girl and asked if I could wait outside. After another couple of minutes the girl came out of the room upset and handed me $60 (keeping 10) and stormed off. Even though I thought $10 was too much I figured all things considered I'the be better off just letting it go at this point. I then asked the guy what about the money I had paid for the room and assumed I would be getting a refund for the room. The guy kindly explained that he was more than willing to resolve the situation with the girl but when it came to the room they would keep the money but I was more than welcome to bring up another girl upstairs and not have to pay for the room again and they would allow me to use it for more than the standard allowed time (usually 30 m max) I then still tried to get my money back but after realizing I wasn't going to win this argument I said ok and since thankfully I had seen a couple other girls that got my attention downstairs I figured I'the go grab one and come back. So I went downstairs and sure enough one of the girls I had liked from earlier was still there so I called her over and flat out offered her $70 to which she quickly agreed to. The moral of the story is don't hesitate to walk away from a session if things start to go bad. I've made the mistake before and received mechanical service. Have you been to anywhere in Mexico outside of Tijuana? Prostitution is deeply ingrained in Mexican culture. Every major (and not so major) Mexican city has a version of Zona Norte, maybe not on Tijuana scale, but they are there. It will take a bit more than "a politician" to change that. Not during their shift. I usually stay at Cascadas and a chica at Adelitas that I've known for a few years is willing to come see me at Cascadas either immediately before or after her shift (though she prefers before her shift). I doubt zona norte will disappear soon but if something happens in the next few years where they want to replace the zona with something else I wouldn't be surprised.

If someone wants that whole area for condos, which would sell, it's gone, or a factory, any big business worth billions can have the whole neighborhood in 2 days if they promise the local government tax revenue. Bar girls have to take guys to the hotels owned by the bar owners, or they will get into a lot of troubles with the boss and would lose their jobs. Adelita girls have to go to hotel Coahuila, Hong Kong and Chavelas to Cascada, Chicago to hotel Jalos, where they get a kick back about 25%. The hotels also keep their hand bags of condoms, lubes and make ups to make sure they can't go anywhere else.

I agree with OrganicAlo legal prostitution in Mexico will continue. Especially because prostitution in the US has been illegal since around 1914 ((except for a few brothels in Nevada). Mexicans have win-win situations. In about 2005, Jorge Hank Rhon, Tijuana's billionaire PRI mayor spent public funds to repair and upgrade the streets and sidewalks around the bar block. The filthy garbage bins and muddy gutters were removed. Coahuila alley was repaved and new sidewalks installed. The entire area became nice, clean.

He also proposed legislation to make paraditas leave the streets in the red light district and work strictly inside bars and hotel lounges. Not sure of his motivations, but based on his other improvements to the city, they must have been his earnest desire to make the city look nicer and work better, also to improve the image of working girls and to protect the dignity Tijuana women in general.

His proposed legislation met with fierce opposition from paraditas and their unknown supporters. I saw demonstrations with hundreds men and women, March through La Zona Roja to City Hall, which is about 5 miles away, people who don't normally work, live or associate with La Zona. They camped out near City Hall, protested noisily, threatened to disclose names of city officials and important people who were their clients. A lot of respectable men in Tijuana were scared shitless.

Hank Rhon quickly caved. I am guessing the paraditas had support among Tijuana's population for a tradition for their independence on how and where they work their trade, not being under control by bars' owners. It's sad to see some of the prettiest and sweetest young girls stand in the cold night in skimpy clothes selling sex, but I have the same, if not more, compassion for their plight and respect for their human dignity, just like for other normal people.

Sunday is regular price. I asked one Sunday and Id I remember right, it was $44. Don't quote me on that exact number but it was a few dollars less than a HK single with the VIP discount which is $48. I just stayed at Cascadas as it's a little nicer. But if you have plans with an Adelita girl, there's nothing wrong with them. I did stay one night on a prior trip and the rooms are basic but clean.

Checked out of Ticuan today and got a $20 room and paid $5 key deposit. I asked if it's a different price Sunday and the reception guy told me it's $45. The room is small but clean and nice enough. The flaw in your logic is that prostitution is illegal in the States, but legal in Mexico. To outlaw it in Mexico would require a constitutional amendment, not just some politician. There are plenty of strip clubs all over Mexico. They are not all like HK because HK is a gringo-centric club. 40 - 50 HK clubs all over Mexico would be unsupportable. There aren't enough stupid gringos standing in line to plunk down $5 for a beer and $100 for 20 minutes upstairs.

Tijuana has loads of gringos who frequent it, so a club like HK can thrive. Regular Mexicans roll in a different fashion. If the gringos ever stop coming, the ZN will change to cater more to the locals.

I don't see it happening either. The federal system is not strong enough to do that. And the money that Tijuana brings in to the local economy is vital.

I think the only risk to our adult Disneyland is the cartels. I think there are two risks. First, and perhaps the highest danger, is cartel violence scaring away the gringos, making the business less profitable and shrinking the number of options. Second would be a takeover of sorts. There are areas of Mexico where the narcos have taken control of bars and agencies. And the results are not good.
