All the strip clubs are located around de 4 de Mayo Avenue. Opening at 8pm and closed at 3am (on saturday night, the Harem become a normal disco after 3am with full of youg locals and non-pro chicas).

Harem club: 74000 bolivars for short time including room. As I have already written, the Harem's chicas are physically top model, the best looking in Isla Margarita, but they are cold and unfriendly and but most suck with condom.
Morisson club: 32000 bolivars for short time. About 10 chicas everynight with good look, all are friendly; 120000 bolivars for all night up to 6 am.
Mediterraneos 2 : 38000 bolivars for short time if you paid cash, 48000 bolivars if you paid by credit card. About 20 chicas everynight, some are good looking, some are chubby and ugly. Good atmosphere, David the manager can give you a good exchange rate if you have dollars.
Hawaii: 10 up to 15 chicas, big club with a dancing floor. 30000 bolivars for short time.
Lady drink cost 3000 bolivars (the chica get 2000).
After spending 2 or 3 nights in the club with tthe girls, they learn to know you and trust you, and most agree to meet you on day time to have fun in your hotel or on the beach.

The problem is how to get to Isla Margarita: I was planning a trip myself for December and apparently neither Conviasa nor Avior are flying direct from Maiquetia to Porlamar. Help Haitek!

Carrying cash in Venezuela now has become impossible. Think of 3 stacks of $1 bills (100 each). And those 3 stacks equal US $10. Plus no one has any more cash. Most people prefer to use debit card. Now as a foreigner you can't open a bank account so until they come up with new bills in December it is now become a necessity to use some one else debit card. So you sell dollar to some one and they will transfer money to your friend account and you then can easily use the funds.

$ today website rate the day I am leaving today is 2,970 to dollar. Best rate I was offered on transfer of funds was 2850 to a dollar. I was in Venezuela from November 17 to November 27. Exactly 10 days. I saw the worse depreciation of any currency in the world. It depreciated from 1900 to $ to 3000.

As per safety of this city. It is as safe as medellin, Colombia pretty much where there is crime in certain parts of the city more and in others it is safe.

I was there in 2002 windsurfing, is there much of that going on anymore? Did you fly from Miami? I noticed there are rt flights from Miami for under $250. Are there many spinner types that don't have a badonkadonk ass?

Guys. Any one says that Venezuela is the worst place for poor person to live. I agree 100 percent, but for those who have money. Venezuela can be a Heaven. Most 5 star hotels cost under $50 a night. Girls are less than $15 to $25 an hour. Security oh well. I was out till 11:30 pm last night. Yes I have my private taxi guy who is keeping me in safer areas true, but that is true of even Medellin, Colombia.

In my opinion it is all a Hoax. Yes you may get robbed of a cell phone which I have not scene trace of but yes very possible, but it is possible in many other parts of the world.

I have not scored too many girls as the contacts are thin for now for me but I am here and progressing. I have done only 4 girls so far but all stunners. Yes the beach in PDC is polluted, but you have the taxi boats which take you out to the small islands outside, about 30 minutes, and there its's fantastic smal beaches for bathing and snorkeling, and small but excellent seafood restaurants. In fackt better than Margarita.

For me the best are the beaches like Playa Blanca in Mochima National Park. Wildlife is protected, I saw dolphins in the sea. Taxi boat for full day cost only 5000 bolivars. But do not go too far on sea, the area is infested with pirates.

Furthermore, , I was just cruising the Venezuela forum, and I happened on your posts about Puerto la Cruz.

Your reports make this area sound great. I know that there are direct flights from Miami to Barcelona Airport, with tickets purchasable on the website. I think you said that it is a roughly 30 minute trip from the airport to Puerto la Cruz. I was also reading my book here, and it seems that you can catch quick ferries from here to Margarita or Parque Mochima.

How do you think Puerto La Cruz compares to Isla Margarita?

The only downside I can see is that you have to utilize escorts. I don't speak spanish much. The setup at Villa del Sol sounds good to me.

I'm trying to make it out to Venezuela from the US. I'm really not trying to go through the visa process though. I know there is no way around it. Can you give some tips on safety there. I might be able to blend in until I open my mouth.

About safety, read my own posts and Britisher's posts in the Caracas section. To sum up, day time is safe, but the downtown become a ghost town at night time, you have to move only by official taxi or hotel taxi; and never use your credit card, visa or amex, in Venezuela.

It happen in a prison, far from the tourist scene, beach and clubs. But as Smiley write, it remind you to always be careful in Isla Margarita and everywhere in Venezuela.

Off course I will come back to Venezuela ASAP. Safety is not a problem if you are careful.

I was with Smily in Isla Margarita in February. Chica's price have sky rocket in Isla Margarita compare to my visit last October.

At Villa del Sol, short time with a chica cost now 15000 to 20000 bolivars (12000 bvs last year). Smiley has summarized the scene in Villa del Sol. Robert, the owner, is a nice and funny guy. He do his best to help you to get the girls (ask him to call Rose Angelis, the ex Miss Margarita !). Many girls go for short time because they have family, kids and boyfriend waiting at home, but I would add that some girls can stay longer there. In February, there was 3/4 girls who stay at the posada and sleep there, they even paid for their room to Robert. After 3 days in Villa del Sol, we invited 3 of them to follow us in a duplex appartment in Porlamar and they agree to come with us (20000 bvs for each first day then 10000 bvs then 10000 bvs the next days).

A escort at Lips Agency cost now 11000 bvs for 60 min (5500 bvs last year).

At Harem club, the most expansive club in Polamar, 60 min with a chica including room cost now 25000 bvs (15000 bvs last year). This time I am disappointed with Harem club, girls are very pro and cold, absolutely no caliente. They are less good looking. The badmaid explain that all stunners went to Panama and Dominican Republica for better money.

At Morrison club, 60 min with a chica including room cost now 12000 bvs (8000 bvs last year). It's still friendly, some girls are really sexy and some absolutely not, but but it depends on the tastes of each. I found at Morrisson a very exotic girl, a metis Venezuelan-malaysian, a girl with a latina body and a asian face.

The Lips / Champagne club is permanently closed.

In Porlamar, we stayed at the Princesa Margarita hotel 50 meters next to the Harem club on the same pavement, we rented a duplex appartment with 2 bed room (1 room on each floor and a living room) for 14000 bvs (they charge 3000 bvs for visiting girl). This is good place to stay in Pormamar, closed to the clubs and safe on day time. There is a very good french restaurant, Le Jardin, accross the road and plenty of shops (including a sex shop where i buy sex toy to play with the girls) and mails around.

With the black market rate exchange, it still not expansive. As remember, 1 dollars = 850/900 bvs.
