So I finally have some free time to write a full report on my trips to Rio. I live in NYC and flight prices prior to Nov. 15th have been around $850 on United out of Newark. Now I see they have jacked the prices up to almost $2000 RT for the foreseeable future which sucks. I'll break this report down by topics to try and give the most detail.

Transportation: Taxis and Ubers in Rio are super cheap compared to the US and Mexico. Taxis from GIG airport to Copa / Ipanema area are around $20-$25 for a 45 minute ride. Ubers run about $12-$15. I take Ubers to most places and with the exception of Ipanema / Copa to Barra de Tiujca Ubers run less than $3. To Barra it's about a $12 Uber. On my CC bill I had like 10 Uber charges under $1. That's unreal. Ubers are safer then taxis from what the locals tell me. In the beach area, Ubers are readily available 24 hours a day.

Where to stay: I am partial to Ipanema. I love the beach, the restaurants and bars, and the proximity to everything. I've rented apartments mostly on AirB&b and most of my experiences have been good. My first trip back, I was solo and rented a nice one bedroom apartment for $75 a night. The last 2 trips I've stayed in Penthouses with a friend, one right next door to Hotel Fasano with incredible views and one with a pool on the roof. Those ran about $350 a night for a 3 bedroom. Most of the hotels in Copa are dated and need full refurbs. Even the JW Marriott's room are garbage. The rooms at Fasano are super nice, but also super expensive. They will allow girls as long as they are registered to the room. The rooftop pool there is heated and has an incredible view.

Restaurants and Bars: Ipanema: Breakfast- Gringo Cafe has all the comforts of home. Omelets, waffles, pancakes, they have it all. Dinner- Garota De Ipanema, Torre, Spicy Fish, Satyricon, Oia, Churrasqueria RJ, Rayz. Copa: Restaurante Marius, Churrasqueria Palace Botofogo: Fogo de Chao Barra de Tijuca: All of the restaurants in the Village Mall are amazing. On a side note, good luck finding anywhere to watch American football on Sunday's. We tried everywhere and no one pays for the NFL ticket. Banana Jack's and Shenanigan's Irish pub were both friendly and put on the 2 games that are available on local cable.

Money exchange / ATM's: Not all debit cards are accepted at every bank. I use TD and have to use Banco Bradesco. ATM's all shut off at 10 pm for security reasons in Rio. I have an account with no ATM fees and the rate I get to take out money is right on with the current exchange rate. Cash is also a good way to get a good exchange rate. A lot of the jewelry stores are also cash exchanges. Hmmm. They will give you a few cents more then the going rate if you give them the new hundred dollar bills without any rips or pen marks. Some of the termas give a discount for cash which is why I exchange money this way.

Termas: I only frequent 3 of the big 4. I am partial to Solarium. I think that they have the most variety of beautiful girls. Most of the girls there are early 20's. I have 4 regular girls and all 4 of them are totally different. I have a blonde, 2 brunettes, and a redhead. There are usually 20-30 girls working. The best days I've found are Tues-Thurs. The place opens at 2 pm I believe but most girls arrive around 5-7 pm. Last call to take a girl and the bar close at 12:15 am Admission, a room with a girl for 40 minutes, and 2 drinks run about $110-$120. There is also a discount for using cash. Monte Carlo- Not a huge fan. Tried it on a Monday and there were only about 7 girls that I saw and we were the only 2 guys. I did find a Fake red head with a lot of tatoos who was not really my type but had a mind blowing session with so not a total loss. 4 X4- So many girls, most have big fake tits and asses and are darker but pretty much can find anything you desire. I always get dropped off and then take a taxi or Uber out. To show you what's out there, my last trip I met a short girl with perfect fake tits and a tight little body. My driver has a great connect and gets us club seats for about $100 each which include food. I have sat in the endzone with all the crazies and as long as you're not rooting for the other team, it is safe.

Safety: I feel like there is a lot more of a police presence in Rio then when I used to come 10 years ago and go to Help. I walk around Ipanema at all times of night and feel safe. That being said, no sense taking chances. Leave the expensive jewelry and watches at home. I bought a $50 watch at Macy's that I call the Rio watch.

Non Pros: One of my friends dated a local girl who introduced us to the crew that throw all the best parties in Rio. For the record I am mid 40's but I party like I'm mid 20's. Every Friday and Saturday parties are set up at different locations in the rio area. They usually start at midnight and go till about 8 am the next day. They also throw parties at Dash Club in Ipanema and the rooftop of the Pestana Hotel in Copa. The girls at these clubs and parties are unreal. If you use Instagram, follow at beautydejaniero. That will give you an idea what I'm talking about. A lot of these girls speak pretty good English. It isn't easy to pull local girls but it is definitely doable. I have made friends with a lot of the local crew and have a great time partying with them. Funniest thing is I've run into a few Solarium girls at the parties. I always tell them it is our secret which they appreciate. They don't just allow randoms to these parties so you need to know someone who knows someone. LOL.

Overall I hope if you take nothing else from this report, it is that I love Brazil. The people, the beach, the soccer, the food, the nightlife, and most importantly the girls are bar none the best in the world. Once you visit, it make other destinations shit. I'm going to Jaco CR on Friday for the weekend and I'm not that excited. I read a negative review about girl's attitude at Centaurus so I decided to stick with 4 x4. Left Rio to continue with my sight seeing trip. Here's a report to give back to the forum:

Rio is a butt man's heaven. If you like big butt, curvy, slightly thick, and darker skin girls, you come to the right place. I like the blanca, whiter & slender type, so it doesn't do well for me. There are blonde / blanca girls, but they come with a premium price.

For newbie, termas are the way to go. It's user friendly, especially when you don't speak the language. 4 x4 is recommended. The setup is a mix between HK bar in Tijuana, and an FKK. You get your bathrobe (you can check out the girls without changing, but everyone I saw in there were in their bathrobe), sit in a tiny bar with a bunch of girl, pick one, and go to the room. This make it pretty easy for anyone new. The pro: girls are friendly & eager to please. The con: girls here are not too hot, in my book. I read somewhere here that some member compare termas to FKK.
