I heard the very huge shopping mall being built along perimeter Road here is Chinese money so they are in AC now.

These buildings are inside the CDC freetrade zone. Ie don't expect access to be made from the Perimeter Road side.

When people talk about investment and buildings, be aware there is significant difference between investing outside the base and inside. Foreigner money can be made inside the base with wholly owned corporations, not in partnership with Filipino. As well as Chinese money, there is big money from Korea in Suncity and big money from Japan in the area near the race track.

The impact of this is that this creates alternate employment opportunities for local staff. While an uneducated pregnant teenager may not be working in a top flight call center, she can however fill the vacancy of the girls who do migrate into employment on base.

But don't panic just yet, the population just keeps growing.

Damn Big Baller. I have had some good times in AC and I don't think I have ever even spent 10,000 pesos in 3 days INCLUDING hotel and food. That initial 10,000 that I take out of the ATM at NAIA tends to last me quite a while. Could you break down for us what you are spending 10,000 in 1 day on?

I second it. If one is ready to spent 100 Dollars a night you can have a wonderful evening in AC. My budget is 3000 to 4000 peso per night and I get everything out of it. If one is capable of spending 10000 per night he is king.

Everything we experienced back 20-30-even 40 yrs ago is still available to us now in 2020. The only difference is the cost of entertainment. Its all how you look at things. Everything we experienced back 20-30-even 40 yrs ago is still available to us now in 2020. The only difference is the cost of entertainment. There are still total nude clubs in AC just got to know where to find them and willing to pay the premium to enter. There is still girls that will stay with you longtime overnight or for your whole trip of 3 weeks, you just have to keep them supplied with money and food and they be there for you. GFE is for sale and they will give it to you no problems. Fact is feed a girl enough food and money they will even fall in love with you forever and you never get rid of them (At least till the money stops flowing). Its all how you look at things. 10 k a day, now that's baller status. I was getting by around 5-6 k a day and that includes the long time of 3 k over night with a girl. I don't really drink and I eat fairly cheap as well. I got no problem with a lady drink or 2 but it's straight to business. If you can stand to stay up late, HS is a great option. This last trip I found some great perimeter bars were no Koreans and bar fines still 2500. Got to find the diamond in the rough, but they do exist. I used to be all about anywhere is Thailand but now everything is so transactional there. AC is still my go to to still feel loved LOL.

It's happening here too in the major cities. Perhaps the Chinese acquisitive lust just hasn't yet hit Angeles, but it will.

It is not a "tourist invasion" you have to worry about. Wait till the Chinese developers move in and start buying up land and putting up buildings, as has been reportedly happening in Thailand, Vietnam, etc.
