I think they will almost always tell you their sexual gender before going back to the room with you or if you spend any serious amount of time with them. I don't suppose it matters technically as there is no other country where it's more openly practiced and on display. I've always felt completely safe taking part in Thailand.

I remember that Wolvenvacht has written extensively on this and he mentioned to have a degree in law. His point was that there is no penalty mentioned in the law for punters. So that means the law is not meant for punters. I have no degree in law but maybe someone can find his message still. I cannot.

I have never seen a citation in the Thai criminal/penal code stating that prostitution, the exchange of sex for money between or among consenting adults, is illegal. I am not saying it does not exist somewhere. Just that I have not seen it. And I have looked.

I also don't know of anyone who has been arrested for and charged with "the crime of prostitution," on either side of the transaction. I know girls who got swept up by the cops or other authorities and removed from street. But the charge is not "prostitution. " It is some variation of creating a public nuisance in the effort.

Busted for providing a venue for or profiting from someone else engaging in prostitution? Yes, I have heard and read about that. Busted for engaging in prostitution with someone under age 18? Yes, I have heard and read about that. But I don't recall ever reading about or meeting anyone in Thailand who got busted for "prostitution" as long as it involved consenting adults.

Do you have a link for the actual citation in the Thai code for the crime of prostitution? I don't think the government of Thailand has ever wanted to make criminals of 18+ year old single moms (or their 18+ year old customers) who choose to earn money for food, rent or anything else by discretely meeting men for sex instead of selling trinkets from a table on the street.

But when you checkin at the RMar they give you a card that says "If you bring back a girl for the night she is not entitled to the free breakfast. " I laughed so hard because it just shows how tacitly accepted it is. We never did breakfast there anyhow but otherwise enjoyed it.

First, the cheaper rooms have a view of the concrete wall of the building a few feet away and it is dismal, the slightly more expensive rooms have nice views. Second, your overnight visitors are not invited to have breakfast with you, I'm not sure if they can use the other facilities. This is information from March 2020, just days before COVID.

It is a nice facility in a nice location.

I don't know their sandbox status or covid stuff but a couple years back the R-Mar was great. It's kinda magically nestled close to Bangla road but without all the noise and hassle. Nicely appointed little gem and girl friendly. You would have to check their status of late given the pandemic.

I'll be flying from Madrid to Phuket and going through the 14 days of Sandbox around the beginning or mid Oct. I've read pretty much every single report here from July 1st and I've found them to be very useful, including all those very detailed reports from J Janni and other guys.

At the moment I'm waiting for the approval of my COE and looking forward to confirm everything soon. But I'm hesitant about which hotel to book for the first 14 nights, as I want to make sure I can bring girls over. I was thinking to book Doubletree by Hilton, which is in Patong near Bangla Road and the beach, but not sure if they'll accept me bringing a guest at night, or if they'll ask for a joiners fee, or if they'll just refuse to accept any guests at all. Anybody been to the Doubletree by Hilton? Are they guest friendly?

Any other recommendations of a hotel in Patong, not far from Bangla Road, where I can bring girls over without joiners fees?

And lastly, are the short time rooms available in Phuket in covid times? Not sure if they're still open.

I'm sure there are other places, but the Austrian Garden has been great. They took care of some things for me that I couldn't do from China and there are no joiner fees. The German guys next to me have girls over every night. The girl just has to give her card to the guy who sits in the restaurant at night. Each room has a little table outside and the pool is right there. It also has a restaurant, but I usually don't eat there. Money change 5 feet out the door. Room is clean. You can check the map, but it's about a 15 minute walk to Bangla. That's a little farther than I would like, but there's a guy on a motorbike sitting 100 feet out the door all the time, so I take it when I don't feel like walking.

Anyway, I've been happy here and the girl thing is no problem.

Sweetest looks to be the place on Bangla that is going off at night time.

The number of posts being made for there by my IG and Facebook friends that are also freelance girls is way high.

And when they post photos, it's showing the place to be rather busy, crowded even, with people back to back at tables, so much for social distancing. What's most impressive tho, is that the number and quality of clearly freelance women showing in the background. Most without company hovering around them.

Yes, the Sweetie bar is pretty crowded. There was even a line on Friday night. The girl I met there doesn't work there. She is a dancer and was unemployed until this week. Now she's working at a bar called "Richly. " I forget the last part of the name, but it's on the other side of the street and a bit more towards the beach. The name is hard to see because it's just above the bar and not above the entrance. There are also a lot of bargirls in there. They are the lipstick and made up types, if you like those. That's not my cup of tea. I prefer the more down to earth types.

Tonight I stopped by to see her, but she was with some Chinese guy so I just said Hi and left. I have seriously looked and clicked on everything and nothing let's me change their name. I would have been happy with that much from the beginning. There's a search button, a call button, and then a button that pulls up other options. None of those option allow for name change and clicking on the name doesn't give me the chance either.

Maybe it's related, but nobody can add my line, I always have to add them. I thought maybe it was because I didn't have an actual Thai phone number or something, but maybe I have an old version or the iPhone version is different?

I obviously should wear my glasses more often. I assumed it would be on one of the pulldown things, but it's a tiny little pencil after their name that blends in to many people's profile pictures.
