Yeah, but "this guy" never called it a "clip joint", which it isn't. It's fair for grown men to disagree as we all have different tastes and likes and dislikes. But, we should be fair and balanced in our assessments, and to start calling a place a clip joint just because you don't like it, think it's too expensive, or "think" you got ripped off is neither fair nor balanced. That's going too far, which I did not do with regard to Brooklin. Do I think Brooklin was weak on talent and a little shabby when I went there? Yes I do. Absolutely! But, that doesn't make it a clip joint. Again, it is not. Compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges please.

Scandallo's a total clip joint. Reminds of a place in Subic Bay, you'd pick out a babe in the bar, take her back to the room, she'd excuse herself to take a shower and a different babe would step out of the shower. You couldn't file a complaint with the SP because the place was off limits. Or the chick would ask you to buy her a Coke and you'd get a bar tab for US $ 75,00. The place is a total rip-off, continue to drop yo cash there!

Well, to be fair, the one time I went to Brooklyn it was nothing but horse ass. Like pony ass and above. Tangara is my favorite for hanging out and talking with the girls, but Miruna has air and sex furniture in the rooms.

Have anyone been to Chanes 57 since they started calling it a clinica, instead of a boate? If they no longer have an entry fee, it could be a decent place to relax and have fun. Except then you have to go to the noisy part of moema.

Scandallo is not a clip joint because it's expensive or just because you don't like it or think that something happened that should not have. I don't know what went down with you, but I attended the place twice and had no problems with properly settling my tab upon leaving. The consumption charge was properly applied to my total bill based on what food and drink I ordered in the club for myself and the girls. I would happily go to Scandallo again to have sexual access to such a beautiful collection of women.

Clinica - "Brazilian massage parlor" - daytime "business", reception, choose from lineup (or book) of "massagistas". Depending on the place they offer massage only (therapeutic), massage + hand job (final), massage + sex, or just sex.

Prive - "Brazilian bordello" - daytime or night (depends), usually house or apartment with multiple rooms. Choose from lineup. Go to room. Sex.

Termas / boate. Night club atmosphere, pay entrance, mingle, choose girl, pay for her to leave with you, or pay to use room on premise.

I have been to Casarao a few times lately, mostly collect numbers or do the full hour (room cost 80). But I am frustrated by the lack of clarity on the shorter time option. All girls quote 2 prices, either half hour and hour, or 40 minutes and hour. This is logically inconsistent. I am pretty sure the house only offers 2 room rentals. The full hour for 80 and a shorter time for 40. But I cannot get a straight answer whether the shorter time (room 40) is for 30 or 40 minutes. This is really a big deal to me, because IMO 30 minutes is usually too short (what with showering before and after) and 40 minutes is pretty good. I asked the girls to clarify the discrepancy. Some say, the room rental is 30 minutes but they can finesse an extra 10 minutes by ignoring the house ringing the bell at 30. Some say, the rental really is for 40 but the house gives a warning at 30 to start cleaning up. Some say, its 30 minutes and that is it. Does anyone know the definitive answer?

Having never been to Scandalo, I was one of those who thought you paid 150 to enter and then another 350 when you left. If you consumed 350 and paid 350, where is the rip-off? Did you think that 150 consumacao means the first 150 is free of charge?

So then you didn't pay a gringo tax, you just paid the Scandallo pricing.

For the who are confused, if you arrive before 19 h, the minimum fee is $R150. It is consumable. If you consume more than that, you pay only for consumption. No entry fee. Pay as you leave.

If you arrive after 19 h, the minimum is 220. Only 150 is consumable. So if you spend 350, be prepared to cough up another 70.

Scandallo also has a free shuttle that will pick you up if at least two of you are going.

Casarao has an entry fee of $R20 or 30. Your choice. You can use the full amount for consumption. If you exceed the 20 or 30, you pay the difference when leaving.

With all respect you originally wrote "IMHO, curious as to feedback on this issue." But then you seem to be aggravated with those of us that ask for clarification. In my case, I asked for clarification and you just repeated what I had read the first time. In Larry's case, you call his reading comprehension into question. Those responses do not seem to be consistent with a good faith request for feedback.

Judging by the variety of responses there is sufficient ambiguity in your original report to cause those of us reading it to draw different conclusions. If the follow up q's are too aggravating then, fine, lets just stop the conversation. For my part, I am still confused about 2 things:

- how much you paid in total. Was it 150 + 350 = 500, or was it just 350?

- what was the position of the Scandalo staff in response to your complaint?

This is what happened:

Finally got to Scandallo last night. Got there at around 1845 h paid the Brl $ 150,00 consumacao. After 1900 h it's Brl $220. Had the house sushi at Brl $65, a Bud at Brl $35, a "dry" martini at Brl $ 70,00 and a MonteCristo #2 ring at Brl $170,00. Was taken aback when I had to cash out at Brl $350,00 when I left. According to my calculations my bill should have been Brl $ 200. My logic was as you consume these items are deducted from your consumacao, once it's exhausted, the charges begin to accrue. cl

Never said I paid at the front desk, paid at the second floor on the way out! I said, "I paid the Brl $150,00, they don't collect cash on the first floor!
